PARKS & RECREATION - ART & CULTURE Annual Photography Exhibit Call for Entries Date: October 19 – January 21 Location: Suffolk Art Gallery Cost: $30 Ages 18+ Registration Deadline: January 21 Be a part of our 38th Annual Juried Photography Exhibit! Open to all professional and amateur photographers. All styles of photography in which traditional and digital processes were integral to the creation of the work will be accepted. Photography must be originals executed and altered by the photographer only. Registrations must include a completed entry form, payment, and submission of digital works. Email areavis@suffolkva.us if you have not received a form. Entry fee is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance into the exhibit. The exhibit will run from March 5th through April 15th, 2022. Applicants will be notified of jurors’ decision by February 4th.
Virtual Art-Day Wednesdays One Wednesday a month, join the Suffolk Art Gallery for a virtual workshop where we explore different art techniques and mediums. All virtual workshops will be published at 10:00 AM on our social media, and will include a materials list as well as an instructional video.

Photo Exhibit 38th Annual Juried Photography Exhibition Dates: March 5 - April 15, 2022 Opening Reception: March 5 from 4:00-6:00PM Location: Suffolk Art Gallery Cost: Free Ages: All The Annual Juried Photography Exhibit returns to the Suffolk Art Gallery! Now in its 38th year, the Annual Juried Photography Exhibit at the Suffolk Art Gallery is the largest and longest running juried exhibition for photographic works in Hampton Roads. This year’s exhibit is juried by award winning photographer, Jessica Tefft.
Art Camp 2022 Session 1: for ages 10-14 August 22nd – 26th Session 2: for ages 6-9 August 29th – September 2nd Times: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM Cost: $90 Registration Fee Registration Begins on March 1st. Registration Ends on August 21st, or until the session is full. If you have a child that enjoys art or needs to have his/her creativity sparked with new ideas, then sign up for Summer Art Camp. During Art Camp, each day will have a different theme that includes multiple art activities, mediums, programs, and events. We will go on multiple field trips and hear from speakers in different disciplines that include recycling, animals, art history, popular culture, and more. Art Camp is for artistic abilities of all levels and is a fun, safe space to learn new things, and relate your own interests to art. All campers must bring their own bag lunch and water for each day.
