Family Storytime [VIRTUAL] Date: Wednesdays, September 9 - November 4 & November 18 - December 16 Time: 10:30 AM Ages: 0+ Cost: Free Location: SPL YouTube & Facebook An early literacy-based storytime for the whole family, including stories, rhymes, songs and more from the comfort of your own home. Storytimes will premiere at the designated time on Suffolk Public Library’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. Videos will remain up for future viewing.
Beyond the Book [VIRTUAL + KIT] Date: Fridays, September 11 & 25, October 9 & 23, November 13, December 11 Time: 10:30 AM Age: 3-8 Cost: Free Location: SPL YouTube & Facebook Tune in to watch a virtual storytime and learn some fun activities related to the story that you can do at home! Each week will feature a book and several tie-in activities that will be included in the Virtual2Go pack. Registration is required for the Pack. Some activities can get messy, so dress accordingly. Each kit will include: Coloring Page, Math Activity, Sensory Kit, and Craft . Each pack will include materials for 1 child. Supplies will be available for pickup at your chosen location prior to the program air date. Please reserve your Virtual2Go pack by registering online.
Beyond School [LIVE] Date: Tuesdays, September 8 & 22, October 6 & 20, November 10, December 8 Time: 2:00 - 3:00 PM Grades: K - 12 Cost: Free Location: SPL Online Registration required. Whether your learning experience is homeschool or not, everyone is welcome at Beyond School! This fall we plan to teach children about different careers and vocations either through live Q&A sessions with working professionals or virtual workplace tours. Participants will be emailed with instructions for logging into the class.
Baby & Me [LIVE + Kit] Date: Tuesdays, September 8, October 13, November 10, December 8 Time: 10:00 - 10:30 AM Ages: 0 - 24 mo Cost: Free Location: SPL Online Registration required. This class will include a brief storytime, an extension activity for home and an opporuntiy for babies and caregivers to socialize virtually with other babies and caregivers. Supplies will be available for pickup at the chosen location prior to the program air date. Please reserve your Virtual2Go pack by registering online. Participants will be emailed with instructions for logging into the class. Please only regisiter the child as a participant. *Remember to log any titles read in 1000 Books Before Kindergarten! [LIVE + VIRTUAL] Date: Tuesdays, October 20 & 27, November 10, 17 & 24, December 1 Time: 6:30 - 7:30 PM Grades: 3 - 5 Cost: Free Location: SPL Online, YouTube & Facebook Registration required. Get your code on at Suffolk Public Library with this 6-part series! A pre-recorded tutorial will be provided to work through on your own before the office hours. Participants will be emailed with instructions for logging into the class.
Let’s Make [VIRTUAL + KIT] Date: Mondays, October 5, November 2, December 7 Time: 2:00 - 3:00 PM Ages: 10 - 16 Cost: Free Location: SPL YouTube & Facebook Registration required. Make something fun at home with the Library! Program supplies will be available for registrants for pickup at the chosen location prior to the program air date.
