Solano Express Operated by SolTrans Solano County Transit (SolTrans) is excited to announce the transition of the SolanoExpress Lines to their management umbrella. SolTrans, the current operator of the Red and Yellow Lines, will be the single operator of all four SolanoExpress Lines. The Green and Blue Lines will transition to SolTrans’ operations this year, beginning with the SolanoExpress Green Line (formally the Green Express or GX) in Spring 2022. The Green Line, which is currently being operated by Fairfield and Suisun Transit (FAST) will continue the service schedule that is in effect on the transition date. The transition will bring a new bus fleet and since all Express buses will be under the same management, the schedules will complement one another. SolTrans has already begun outreach to current Green Line riders at both Fairfield Transportation Center and El Cerrito del Norte BART. Passengers will be able to view the Green Line Schedule at SolTrans.org. The Blue Line is scheduled to join the transition in Fall 2022.

Photo: Michael Sparks

SolTrans’ Executive Director Beth Kranda said, “Having a single operator for SolanoExpress will be great for the passengers, they will enjoy a newer bus fleet, service alerts and real-time information. This is the right step for us as a growing agency. This transition will give passengers better transit connectivity throughout Solano County, the Bay Area and beyond.” For all updated schedules and real-time information visit SolTrans.org.

Val l ej o W ee kl y

What does the transition mean for the passengers? SolTrans passengers will have access to real-time bus information and real-time service alerts through the various technologies SolTrans offers: Transit App, Moovit App, and 511.org. Passengers will also have access to the Token Transit App for mobile fare purchases, and can continue to use paper and Clipper passes.
