Mare Island Company Fabricates Façade of Lucas Museum Kreysler & Associates is a custom fabrication shop located on Vallejo’s historic Mare Island, operating out of a building originally built by the US Navy during World War II. The company was founded in 1982 and specializes in custom Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP) (aka fiberglass composites). Originally born out of the high-performance boat industry, founded to bring marine grade materials and techniques to construction, Kreysler & Associates turned their fabricated pieces into works of art to house works of art (and more!). Some of Kreysler & Associates projects include: • San Francisco MOMA Façade • Broad Museum Oculus • Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall, and; • The Rodeo Drive Dome

Val l ej o W ee kl y

The Company’s latest project was the creation of the façade pieces for the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art located in Los Angeles’s Expedition Park.

6

The 300,000 square foot museum will feature close to 100,000 square feet of gallery space, two state-of-the-art cinematic theaters, numerous dedicated spaces for learning and engagement, restaurants, retail, and event space. The museum’s building will sit on a new 11-acre park, which will bring much needed green space to the surrounding neighborhood.

FLEXIBLE, EXTENDED, NO-INTEREST PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE

Val l ej o W ee kl y

On April 2, 2020, California Governor Newsom signed an executive order restricting water shutoffs to homes and small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

10

The order protected consumers who could not pay for their water service during the pandemic, relieving them of fear that their water service may be shut off for non-payment. Although customers were protected from shutoffs during this time, this did not mean that the water delivered to customers could be provided free of charge. Costs to treat, monitor, and deliver drinking water to customers remained unchanged. For those customers not paying their bills, the unpaid amounts accumulated (interest-free) and were tracked by the Water Billing team. The Governor’s water billing moratorium came to an end on December 31, 2021. With the lifting of the state's moratorium so close to the

holidays, and then the surge of the Omicron variant, the Vallejo Water Department opted to continue the water billing moratorium through March 31, 2022, in order to continue to provide a safety net to customers. With Vallejo’s billing moratorium ending on March 31, all unpaid water charges that were delinquent on, and accrued, since April 2020 will be due. We understand this can be a stressful transition for our customers, and we are here to help. We offer flexible and extended no-interest payment plans to avoid service shutoff. Delinquency notices for past-due amounts will begin to be mailed to water customers in April 2022. TO ARRANGE FOR YOUR PAYMENT PLAN: • • •

Email vallejowaterbilling@cityofvallejo.net Call (707) 648-4345 Visit: cityofvallejo.net/waterbilling

In addition to payment plan options, the Water Rate Assistance Program (WRAP) is available to qualified customers. To learn more about WRAP visit myvallejo.com/wrap.
