Broadway Project: Units Are Stacked!

Vallejo’s Broadway Project is a 47-unit Permanent Supportive Housing Project for individuals experiencing homelessness or individuals at risk for homelessness in Solano County. The project will include a community room and courtyard for use of the residents. In addition to the housing, the project will include supportive services such as goal setting, life skills, financial literacy, and connections to benefits and community resources.

Over the past few weeks, the Factory_OS modules have been transported from the Factory_OS storage lot on Mare Island to 2441 Broadway Ave. The modules are now “stacked” at the property and ready to connect to utilities. Construction will continue for the next few months with an anticipated completion date in October 2023.

Once construction is completed, SHELTER, Inc. will oversee management of the property and provide wrap-around services for residents, such as case management and employment

assistance. SHELTER, Inc. has experience managing properties for more than 30 years, and understands that trauma and unique perspectives of participants, their needs and how to support their journey to self-sufficiency.

The City anticipates having the building in full occupancy by January 2024 and is looking forward to having another permanent supportive housing project that will help move individuals off the street into a permanent housing opportunity.
