Make it official by joining the Friends of Woodstock Public Library, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the library. Membership is free and open to everyone, and everyone is welcome to pitch in at planning meetings and fundraising events. Look for the Friends membership brochure or inquire at the library front desk to join!

You’ll find bestsellers, vintage classics, children’s books, CDs, and DVDs in the Friends bookstore—and everything is $1 or less! Come browse the shelves across from circulation and in the lower level to find your next great read. All proceeds benefit the library. The Friends accept donations of gently used books, CDs, and DVDs the first Wednesday of every month during regular library hours. Limit five boxes per donor. Please don’t bring us encyclopedias, textbooks, magazines, Reader’s Digest editions, VHS tapes, or anything covered in mold or falling apart. Items not suitable for resale can be recycled in the bins in the public parking lot. (Remove plastic and spiral bindings before recycling.) Do not leave donations by the front door or in the book drops.

Thank You to the Friends

Through their year-round fundraising efforts, our Friends organizations supports the library by donating services and gifts for the library including the library’s entry way bench, toddler stand in the children’s room, fish tank maintenance costs, Canva subscription, as well as sponsoring the library’s print and email newsletters.
