Upcoming Events Fall Rally: What is Fall Rally? Fall Rally is a conference for division 20 and division 22. We will be having a keynote speaker, there will be workshops, and we will be putting together dog toys to donate to the SPCA! Here’s a message from a Fall Rally participant last year Hi Division 20! I am writing to tell you a little bit about my experience at the Fall Rally last year. As many of you may know, last year Division 20 had their first Fall Rally in over a decade. In a lot of ways our Division is still very new, and the opportunity to attend an event like the Fall Rally is new to us too. One of my favorite experiences with Key Club last year was the Fall Rally. It showed me just how many high schoolers are interested in volunteering (over 50 students attended last year), and how different Key Club can be in each school. I was awed at this event to meet so many people who I related to and who loved volunteering as much as I do. I also loved meeting people from different schools who had different experiences with Key Club and diverse ideas of how to make it better. At the rally we played ice breakers to get to know one another, ate lunch provided by Wegmans and Nirchi’s, and had workshops where various officers, advisors, and Kiwanians presented on subjects involving Key Club, volunteering, and making a difference in our communities. We also completed a service project for soldiers in the military, raised money for Wounded Warriors, and collected non perishables for a food bank. Throughout the entire day we had discussions about the importance of community service, improving our clubs, and how to best help our communities. This event is like no other in Key Club in that you get to connect with people who live around you who you may have never met- and then discuss things you care about while having fun and growing as a person. If you are considering attending Fall Rally this year I wholeheartedly encourage you to get in on this experience! Yours in Passion and Service, Rachael Rosenstein Immediate Past Outstanding Lieutenant Governor 9
