Admissions, Visit Cards and Memberships (all prices include GST) New Aquatic Membership Program The City of Lethbridge has recently launched new leisure management software. Through this new electronic system, pass holders will need to use a swipe card called a Fun Pass. The Fun Pass can be used to access a number of City facilities including memberships for most pools and skating rinks. Along with the launch of the Fun Pass comes more streamlined pool membership options and a new fee structure. •The recreation pass and the fitness advantage pass options have been combined into one single pass and merged into a new fee structure. • The Fun Pass will give access to three indoor facilities (Fritz Sick, Nicholas Sheran and Stan Siwik) along with the Henderson outdoor pool in the summer season. Pass holders are able to access all facility programing given they meet the age and program requirements. Please see Program Choices in the Guide for more information. •A 1 month and 12 month membership option has been added on top of the existing 3 and 6 month options. •Another price level has been added to separate children and youth. Because everyone deserves a Merry Christmas… Christmas Hampers: We are collecting supplies for our regular monthly food allotments and Christmas Meals, which include turkey/ham and all the fixings. You can contribute by donating the supplies necessary for building hampers, or by offering a cash donation - $150 will cover supplies for a medium family, $200 will take care of a large family.

Community Services

Gnome for the Holidays Program: Come Gnome for the Holidays! Select a Gnome from our tree to support an entire

24

household this year. Purchase gifts for household members and a grocery gift card to cover perishable items added to the hamper provided by the food bank. Gnomes include couples, families with children, and single adults and seniors - who often get missed during the Christmas season. For those who do not have time to shop – you can donate financially, and we will take care of everything. Individual $125, Family of 2 $200, Family of 3-4 $375, Family of 5-6 $525 (includes gifts and grocery gift card).

Under the Tree Toy & Gift Program: Put a tree up in your office, church, school or business and encourage others to bring food, toys, goodies, or stocking stuffers for children 17 years and under. No room for a tree? We will provide you with a decorative bin to collect items on behalf of Interfaith Food Bank, and will even pick it up when it is full. Please do not wrap gifts, and we would like to have bins returned between November 30 - December 4th. Encourage others to be a “Secret Santa” for families in need. For more ideas of how you can help to address hunger and poverty in our community, visit www.interfaithfoodbank.ca, or contact our office by calling 403-320-8779.

Food and Toy Collections and Fund-raising— Each agency will be required to recruit support from within the community to come up with all of the supplies and resources required for this joint project. Donors can contribute at any location and we will arrange for proper distribution.

Please note: While we are working together on this Christmas Project, we still have requirements to meet on an individual organization basis. Food and Cash donations should be made to your charity of choice.

BE FIT FOR LIFE KISS this Holiday Season KISS - Keep it Simple, Silly! December is always hectic and though the pandemic might mean there are fewer concerts, hockey games or recitals to attend, it can still be hard to find the time and motivation to get active. So just KEEP IT SIMPLE: Go for a walk with your family, your friends, your dog or yourself. This is the easiest way to be active. Just bundle up and enjoy the crisp, winter air. Head out after dark to check out Christmas lights or stars. Why it's so good for you: Being active increases your overall fitness, improves mental health, well being and sleep, strengthens muscles and bones, improves balance and reduces the risk of chronic disease. Movement guidelines recommend 150 minutes per week of moderate to vigorous physical activity for adults and 60 minutes per day for kids and youth. A daily walk goes a long way to meeting these recommendations.

Did You Know?

So head out with family or friends, or go solo if you prefer. Try to make it a daily routine and it won't take long before it's a habit. Just keep it simple and reap the many health benefits of simply moving more.

CREATE YOUR OWN CIRCLE OF SUPPORT

Circle 1: Home and close family is made up of those who we share great intimacy, our secrets, and heartfelt emotions.

Circle 2: Friend and family is made up of those people who are friends or relatives who we call upon to go out to dinner, see a movie, and see regularly .

Circle 3: Community is where you belong and includes the names of the people or organizations you participate with in life. This could contain youth groups, school, clubs, organizations, athletic teams, or where you participate and interact with people.
