A FLOCK OF DUCKS ARE IN A POND...

One day, a particular duck, whom we’ll call Quack, found himself upset over seeing another duck blowing bubbles in the pond. So upset, in fact, he decides to take the duck (whose name was Waddle) to court. Once in court, the duck is is called to the duck stand. “State your name.” “My name is Waddle.” “Waddle, what are you being accused of?” The judge asks the duck. “Heck if I knew!” He said. “I was just blowing bubbles in the pond!” The judge looked over his glasses at Quack, then back at Waddle. “I see no problem with blowing bubbles. You’re free to go,” he says. The next day, Quack sees Waddle once again blowing bubbles in the pond, and became very angry. He decides once again (to the judge’s annoyance) to take Waddle to court, and they go through the same process. The judge begins to get very angry with Quack for continuing to bring Waddle in. Finally, after weeks of trouble between Waddle and Quack, Quack takes Waddle to court one last time, and this time, he has a plan. “And I assume you’re here because Waddle was blowing bubbles in the pond,” the judge says to Quack in a dry tone. “Yes, your honor. But this time, I brought a witness!” The judge calls the witness to the stand. “And your name, sir?”

We all drank straight from the garden hose or the paddling pool… The water was full of wee, heavy metals and toxic chemicals, but what did we care? It meant we didn’t have to go all the way inside when we were thirsty. We ran around barefoot…. All the time - going to the park your best friends house of chasing the dog down the street EVERYWHERE was Zola Budd time she was our hero… Tetanus, anyone? After 5 minutes at the park, we’d inevitably start flipping off the swing... Even better was trying to flip the swing all the way around the swingset. None of this namby pamby foam for us if we fell, it was straight on the hard summer dried earth… Playgrounds were just more “adventurous”. Looking back as if that would actually end well. We refused to leave a friend behind… Your bestie on your handlebars, skateboard or even standing on your tricknuts … Because walking was simply too slow. BACK PAIN & HOW TO TREAT IT…

Back pain is a common problem that affects most people at some point in their life. It may be triggered by bad posture while sitting or standing, bending awkwardly, or lifting incorrectly. It’s not generally caused by a serious condition. In most cases, back pain will improve in a few weeks or months, although some people experience long-term pain or pain that keeps coming back.

Some people choose to see a therapist for manual therapy or acupuncture without seeing their Dcotor first. Preventing back pain: how you sit, stand, lie and lift can all affect the health of your back.

JAGUAR E-TYPE 60 COLLECTION

60 years ago upon it’s release Enzo Ferrari said “Jaguar's E-Type is the most beautiful car in the world” and who are we to argue? Jaguar’s Classic department has announced The Jaguar E-Type 60 Collection, which marks six decades since the car was unveiled at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show. Six pairs, each comprising a roadster and coupe, are to be built, priced at around £850,000 for the pair and not sold individually. The fully restored 1960s models, each stripped down to the bare metal, and rebuilt using as many original components as possible. The paint, trim and spec will match the two original show cars, the coupe is finished in Flat Out Grey and the roadster in Drop Everything Green and a choice of left or right-hand drive is available. The cars are largely true to the original EType launch models, but have a few modern conveniences. Modern cooling and ignition systems are fitted for durability, a retro-styled infotainment system brings convenience, stainless-steel exhausts look identical but add a “deeper tone”, while the cars have close-ratio five-speed manual gearboxes. Around 1,100 hours are spent on the bare metalwork alone and the restoration work carried out at Jaguar Classic in Coventry includes the fitment of suspension dampers purpose-built from the original drawings. As well as a few subtle modern improvements, the cars come with four ‘E-type 60’ logos: one on the rev counter, one of the fuel filler, one on the chassis plate, and one on the bonnet badge. Hand-engraved centre consoles chart the routes taken to Geneva, with the coupe and roadster having slightly different maps, reflecting the journeys taken by drivers on their way to the show in 1961. Initial interest has been high, so if you want a pair of “new old” E-types, be quick - there are only a few left!
