I love June! It really seems that summer has arrived - you can smell the sun cream during the day and the after sun in the evenings and there are lobster coloured people all over the place! And it must be celebration month this month, are you celebrating The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee? The celebrations start from the 2nd to the 5th of June, there seems to be loads going on so you won’t be far away from a party! Its Noche de San Juan on the 23rd, there will be bonfires on the beach up and down the coast – there are always stories of people falling into one of them so be careful, it’s also the only day of the year that you are allowed to sleep on the beach, so get along to your nearest beach party about 10pm, wear white, have a great time and if you are brave enough, jump into the sea at midnight to wash away the evil spirits! It’s national Doughnut day on the first of June an event that goes back to 1938, and many doughnut shops give out free doughnuts. There is amazing competition prize this month, Dinner for two people at the Bangkok Thai and Chinese Restaurant in Nueva Andalucia. Eat and drink as much as you both want and it is really top quality food (not one of those Buffet places!) Talking of competitions, congratulations to Sue Brick on winning the meal for two at India Lucia in April, last month’s winner of the Dolphin Safari competition will be announced next month. Don’t forget Dad – it’s father’s day in the UK on the 17th. Mmmmmmm Doughnuts.

A W o m a n’ s W o r l d The Start of the Human Race... A little girl asked her mother: How did the human race appear? The mother answered: God made Adam and Eve and they had children and so was all mankind made. Two days later she asks her father the same question. The father answered: Many years ago there were monkeys from which the human race was developed. The confused girl returns to her mother and says: Mum, how is it possible that you told me that the human race was created by God and Dad says they were developed from monkeys. The mother answers: Well dear, it is very simple. I told you about the origin of my side of the family while your father told you about his side...

Bbq...

A woman was standing before the bedroom mirror, admiring herself in her expensive new outfit. She posed this way and that. Her husband, looking with disinterest, remarked; "Your bum is the size of a 3-burner barbeque!" Later that evening, tucked up cozy in bed, he leant over, tapped her on the shoulder, and asked hopefully; "How about it?" She replied "It's hardly worth lighting the Barby for half a sausage now is it?!!"

The QUeen hAs someone To BReAk heR shoes in foR heR:

When we buy a new pair of heels we can't wait to bust them out. When we finally do, we can't wait to get them off again. Pinching new shoes have got to be the most irritating pain ever. Fortunately for the Queen, she never has to handle a burning instep or blistered little toe. She has someone to go through all of that pain for her. The Queen apparently has a person on hand to break in her new shoes. Speaking to The Sunday Times, her dressmaker of 11 years Stewart Parvin said, "[The shoes] have to be immediately comfortable ... She does get someone to wear them. The Queen can never say, 'I'm uncomfortable, I can’t walk any more.' She has the right to have someone wear them in."Ultra amaze. Can someone come and break in our new silver Zara wedges please? We wanted to wear them on Saturday night but the fear of little-toe-torture was just too much to take.

kATie PRiCe CoUld go BAld in The nexT Ten yeARs!

Katie Price is as famous for her image – big hair, layers of fake tan and OTT make-up – as she is for her drama filled personal life. But after years of applying hair extensions and bleaching her locks, her hair is so stressed out there are fears she could go bald in the next ten years. The glamour model-turned-business woman spends thousands of pounds on her hair every year, but she’s put her barnet under such stress that she’s at risk of alopecia and in a worse case scenario could be left with no hair at all! Back in March last year Katie tweeted her followers about a particularly bad hair day, as she complained,“Grrrrrrrr hate my hair soooooo much still can’t believe hair dressers in LA have done this to my hair” At the time is was reported that Katie has been left with bald patches after getting a new set of extensions, with a spokes person confirming that had “lost some hair after an unfortunate incident in the States.”Somehow, we can’t imagine Katie ever embracing the natural look for good.

Jessie J could quit the Voice:

The first series of The Voice hasn’t reached its conclusion and there is talk of Jessie J not returning for the already commissioned second series. It’s thought that Jessie wants to bow out of the singing contest to focus on making her second album, and that she’s unhappy about rumours she behaves like a diva behind the scenes – she’s even thought to have rejected an offer from BBC One controller Danny Cohen to double her existing £200,000 salary. Would you miss Jessie if she didn’t return for series two of The Voice?

Geri halliwell could be permanent X Factor JudGe:

Geri Halliwell could make a permanent return to TV talent show judging (she was previously a judge on Pop Stars: The Rivals back in 2003), if she impresses X Factor bosses. The Spice Girl – who has already filled in on the show when Dannii Minogue was on maternity leave – has been lined up as stand-in for departing judge Kelly Rowland at the first audition in Liverpool, but she could bag the job if fits in with the rest of the panel. “Simon was impressed with the way Geri handled herself during auditions a couple of years ago, and thinks she has the gravitas and star presence to really shakeup the panel,” an insider tells The Mirror. “She has a great chemistry with Louis and bosses expect these two to join forces against Gary which will make for great viewing. “Simon is still reeling from the whole Dannii fall-out, and the fact she demanded so much money doesn’t sit well with him. By comparison, Geri has been an absolute dream to deal with. Assuming she passes her final dress rehearsal at the auditions in Liverpool, the job is hers.” Do YOU think Geri would be a good addition to The X Factor panel?

IS THIS HEAVEN? An 85-year-old couple, after being married for almost 60 years, died in a car crash. They had been in good health the last ten years, mainly due to her interest in health food and exercising. When they reached the Pearly Gates, St. Peter took them to their mansion, which was decked out with a beautiful kitchen, master bath suite and a Jacuzzi. As they looked around, the old man asked St. Peter how much all this was going to cost. "It's free," St. Peter replied, "this is Heaven." Next, they went out in the back yard to survey the championship-style golf course that the home was located. They would have golfing privileges every day and each week, the course changed to a new one representing the great golf courses on earth. The old man asked, "What are the green fees?" St. Peter replied, "This is Heaven, you play for free." Next, they went to the club house and saw the lavish buffet lunch with the cuisine's of the World laid out. " How much to eat?" asked the old man."Don't you understand yet? This is Heaven, it is free!" St. Peter replied, with some exasperation. "Well, where are the low fat and low cholesterol tables?" the old man asked timidly. St. Peter lectured, "That's the best part - you can eat as much as you like of whatever you like and you never get fat and you never get sick. This is Heaven." With that, the old man went into a fit of anger, throwing down his hat and stomping on it, and screaming wildly. St. Peter and his wife both tried to calm him down, asking him what was wrong. The old man looked at his wife and said, "This is all your fault! If it weren't for your blasted bran muffins, I could have been here ten years ago!"

Oh, Hello! A virile, middle aged Italian gentleman named Guido was relaxing at his favourite bar in Rome when he managed to attract a spectacular young blonde woman. Things progressed to the point where he invited her back to his apartment and, after some small talk, they retired to his bedroom where he rattled her senseless. After a pleasant interlude he asked with a smile, "So, you finish?" She paused for a second, frowned, and replied, "No." Surprised, Guido reached for her and the rattling resumed. This time she thrashed about wildly and there was much more passion. The sex finally ends and, again, Guido smiles and asks, "You finish?" Again, after a short pause, she returns his smile, cuddles closer to him softly says, "No." Stunned, but damned if he was going to leave this woman unsatisfied, Guido reaches for the woman yet again. Using the last of his strength, they end together screaming, bucking, clawing and ripping the bed sheets. Exhausted, Guido falls onto his back, gasping for air. Barely able to turn his head, he looks into her eyes, smiles proudly and asked her once again, "You finish?"Barely able to speak, the beautiful blond whispers in his ear, "No, I'm Norwegian."

The differences bet ween Men and Women... Names:

Eating Out:

If Julie, Ruby, Elizabeth and Jane go out for lunch, they will call each other Julie, Ruby, Elizabeth and Jane. If Mark, Chris, John and Tom go out, they will affectionately refer to each other as Fat Boy, Nobby, Spud and Scrappy.

When the bill arrives, Mark, Chris, Eric and Tom will each throw in a 20€, even though it's only for 32.50€. None of them will have anything smaller and none will actually admit they want change back. When the women get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.

Money:

A man will pay 2€for a 1€ item he needs. A woman will pay 1€ for a 2€ item that she doesn't need, but it's on sale.

Future:

A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband. A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.

Success:

A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend. A successful woman is one who can find such a man. Con’ t on page 24...

A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't. A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change, and she does.

DRESSING UP:

A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the garbage, answer the phone, read a book, and get the mail. A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.

NATURAL:

Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed. Women somehow deteriorate during the night.

OFFSPRING:

The Story of My Life... A Man’s World

When I was 14, I hoped that one day I would have a girlfriend. When I was 16 I got a girlfriend, but there was no passion, so I decided I needed a passionate girl with a zest for life.

In college I dated a passionate girl, but she was too emotional. Everything was an emergency; she was a drama queen, cried all the time and threatened suicide. So I decided I needed a girl with stability. When I was 25 I found a very stable girl but she was boring. She was totally predictable and never got excited about anything. Life became so dull that I decided that I needed a girl with some excitement. When I was 28 I found an exciting girl, but I couldn't keep up with her. She rushed from one thing to another, never settling on anything. She did mad impetuous things and made me miserable as often as happy. She was great fun initially and very energetic, but directionless. So I decided to find a girl with some real ambition. When I turned 31, I found a smart ambitious girl with her feet planted firmly on the ground and married her. She was so ambitious that she divorced me and took everything I owned. I am now older and wiser, and am looking for a girl with big boobs.

IF YOU GO DOWN TO THE WOODS TODAY Walking through the woods, a man comes upon another man hugging a tree with his ear firmly against it. He asks, "Just out of curiosity, what the hell are you doing?" "I'm listening to the music of this tree." "You've gotta be kidding." "No, not at all! Would you like to give it a try?" "Well, this is really stupid, but..., okay .." So he wraps his arms around the tree and presses his ear up against it. The other man immediately slaps a set of handcuffs on him, takes his wallet, jewellery and car keys, then strips him naked and leaves. Two hours later, another nature lover strolls by, sees this man handcuffed to the tree naked and asked, "What the hell happened to you?" He tells the guy the whole story about how he got there. While he was regaling his plight, the newcomer is shaking his head in sympathy, circling him. When the handcuffed man is finished talking, the second man walks around behind him, kisses him behind the ear and says, "This just isn't your day, is it, Sugar!"

Medical Tips

Hypnosis

What’s Your Opinion? Many people are sceptical when they hear the word ‘hypnosis’. It conjures up scenes like swinging watches, black capes and mysterious goings on! I often hear the phrase, ‘You’ll never be able to get me under!’ This implies that hypnosis is akin to some form of anaesthetic that will make you immobile, etc. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, all of you who are reading this article go into hypnosis at least twice a day without even knowing it! When you wake up in the morning and when you go to sleep at night, you pass through the hypnotic state. Have you ever set your alarm for 7am and woken up a couple of minutes before the alarm goes off? You have unwittingly given yourself a post-hypnotic suggestion and your body clock has responded almost to the second! The most common response I get after a session is that the patient feels so relaxed and they didn’t realise how much time had elapsed since the start of the session. Once you are aware of the power of hypnosis, then you open the door to changing many aspects of your life for the better. How can hypnosis help? Well, any condition that is affecting you mentally, i.e. not a physical condition, can be treated by a reputable, professional hypnotherapist using the power of hypnotic induction. For example, addictions such as smoking or alcoholism, mental conditions such as depression, panic attacks or sexual problems can be greatly helped by a few hypnotherapy sessions. Neil R. Paterson BA Dhp, is a clinical hypno/psychotherapist located in Mijas Costa and is a Preferred Partner of MediLink. Neil has been practising on the Costa del Sol since 1998, making him the longest serving hypnotherapist on the coast. The cause: do you experience a neck and shoulder pain during everyday activities such as working, driving, or sleeping? do you sometimes wake up with a headache, find yourself unable to look over your shoulder, or simply feel that your neck is “out of kilter? if so, therapeutic massage can work on multiple levels to help you relax, reduce your pain, and regain movement in your neck and shoulders. a pain in the neck: The heavy weight of the head requires a lot of support from the delicate, highly mobile structure of the neck. because of this, your neck and shoulders are particularly susceptible to tension, strain and injury. in some cases, neck pain begins with a traumatic incident. for instance, in a whiplash injury the jerking of the head may cause painful sprains or strains in the ligament and muscles of the neck and shoulders. Pain can also come on gradually, for example from working day after day at a computer with tense shoulders and your head in a forward position. other common culprits include cradling a phone with the shoulder, carrying a heavy handbag or sleeping without proper neck support. conditions such as arthritis or fibromyalgia can also cause the gradual onset of neck pain. Pain can spread: once tension and pain take hold, other symptoms may develop. areas surrounding the initial problem may tighten up in a protective response. ligament injuries and highly irritable spots called trigger points can cause pain to extend to other areas. The result can be distant symptoms such as headaches, jaw tension or tingling and pain in the arms or hands.

Isle of Fernando’s, Take Me Out – If you’re a Take Me Out fan you might be wondering where the Isle of Fernando’s – the 'Island of Love' where couples matched by modern-day cupid Paddy McGuinness jet out to on their first dream date – is located. If you get the atlas out, you might be looking for a while as it is actually a fictional destination! The lucky loved-up couples who indulge in a range of activities including horse riding, wine tasting, helicopter rides and spa treatments in series three are actually in sunny Cyprus (series two was filmed in Tenerife)!

Benidorm, Benidorm– A TV programme that promises sun, sea and shenanigans, Benidorm follows a group of holidaymakers on their stereotypical ‘Brits-abroad’ holiday in the sun. The programme has boosted interest in the Spanish resort and figures released by Travelsupermarket.com revealed that searches for travel to Benidorm have increased by 159 per cent while the television programme is broadcasting on Friday nights, compared to enquiries at the same time on other days!

TOP “TELLY-TOURISM” DESTINATIONS: real

Barry Island, Gavin and Stacey – Hit TV show Gavin and Stacey starring James Corden (Smithy), Ruth Jones (Nessa) and Joanna Page (Stacey Shipman) Matt Horne (Gavin Shipman) has put Barry Island, Wales, on the ‘telly-tourism’ map. A traditional seaside location, the characters frequented Barry Island often throughout the series and now you can even join a Gavin and Stacey tour around the island. A visit to Marco’s café, where Stacey worked, the Italian restaurant ‘Luigi’s’ where Smithy learned he was the father of Nessa’s baby and the church hall where Gwen had her surprise birthday barn dance are some of the destinations you can visit.

Downton Abbey, Downton Abbey – Downton Abbey has graced our screens since its launch in 2010 and has captured the hearts of the nation – so much so that Visit England has reported a surge in visitors to the real Downton – Highclere Castle in Berkshire – since it first appeared on screen. Owned by the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon, Highclere Castle is one of England's most beautiful Victorian Castles set amidst 1,000 acres of spectacular parkland. The Carnarvon family has lived at Highclere since 1679, and the current Castle stands on the site of an earlier house, which in turn was built on the foundations of the medieval palace owned by the Bishops of Winchester for some 800 years.

RESTAURANTReview... Las Casitas, El Faro My husband and I visit The Costa Del a couple of times each year and always enjoy visiting different places to eat. We went to Las Casitas in El Faro and thoroughly enjoyed our evening, We arrived fairly early on a Tuesday evening and noticed that already most of the tables were taken; we were shown to our table close to the stage and given the menus. I choose the Caprice salad to start, when it arrived I was amazed at the amount I had and it was beautiful. I followed with the Roast Belly of Pork which really was quite amazing it was served with a cream mash and loads of crackling! My husband choose the grilled chicken skewers which were served with a peanut sauce, I had to try some and was so impressed that I ended up stealing half of the sauce! He followed with Magret of Duck again served with mash and a teriyaki sauce; it was just perfect cooked just to his liking with so much flavour. When we asked about desert, having just eaten very large portions, we decided to share a New York style cheesecake and it really was lovely. The entertainment came from an excellent singer/guitarist who played a few requests and lots of oldies but goodies and there was a great atmosphere with people dancing all around us. For a great evening with generous portions of excellent food prepared by one of the Costa’s top chefs and great entertainment, be sure to visit Las Casitas.

375g sweet pastry 100g butter, softened 100g golden caster sugar 2 eggs, plus one yolk, beaten 100g ground almonds 1 tsp almonds extract 50g self-raising flour 1 tsp baking powder 5 tbsp seedless raspberry jam, warmed in a pan 175g icing sugar glacĂŠ cherries, halved, to decorate

Method:

1) Heat the oven to 180C/fan 160C/gas 4. Roll out the pastry to 20p coin thickness then use to line a long rectangular tart tin approx 35cm x 12cm, or a round tin approx 23cm. Line with baking paper then fill with baking beans. Chill in the fridge for 20 minutes. Bake for 15 minutes then take out the paper and beans and cook for another 5 minutes until sandy coloured and cooked. Take out of the oven. 2) Beat the butter and sugar together then gradually beat in the eggs. Mix in the ground almonds and almond extract. Bake on a lower shelf for 30-40 minutes until set. 4) Mix the icing sugar with just enough water until it coats the back of a spoon (about 1 tbsp). TOP “TELLY-TOURISM” DESTINATIONS: fake!

‘The Island’, Lost – The Lost series follows a group of plane crash survivors who are forced to live with each other on a remote island, which poses unique threats of its own. Referred to as ‘The Island’, the series was actually filmed, in the most part, on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. When we first encounter our group of 48 crash survivors, they are gathered around the wreckage of Oceanic Flight 815 which rests on the beach of a tropical island, supposedly somewhere between Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles, California. The beach scene was actually filmed on Mokule'ia Beach on Oahu's North Shore. The inland, forest scenes are filmed on Oahu’s Windward Coast in Ka'a'awa Valley, which has also featured in Pearl Harbour, Godzilla and Tears of the Sun.

fake!

Only Fools & Horses: The real Nelson Mandela House - (this may shatter some illusions) Only Fools and Horses wasn't actually filmed in Peckham. The main locations were actually Acton (in Ealing) and Bristol. Indeed, Harlech Tower – the block of flats which was used as "Nelson Mandela House" – is in Acton, while the famous bit where Del and Rodders run down the street as Batman and Robin was filmed in Broadmead Shopping Precinct in Bristol.

TheMusicalOctopus Captain Queeg goes into a harbor bar with his pet octopus and says "I'll bet 50€ that no one here has a musical instrument that this here octopus can't play." The people in the bar look around and someone fetches out an old mandolin. The octopus has a look, picks it up, tunes it, and starts playing a few choruses of "Rawhide." Captain Queeg quickly pockets the fifty euros. The next bar patron comes up with a trumpet. The octopus takes the horn, loosens up the keys, licks its chops and starts playing "Stella By Starlight." Yet another 50€ is handed over to the smiling captain. The bar owner has been watching all of this and disappears into the back room, returning a few minutes with a set of bagpipes under his arm. He puts them on the bar and says to the captain and his octopus, "Now, I'll bet you a hundred euros your damn octopus can't play that!" The octopus takes a look at the bagpipes, lifts it up, turns it over, has another look from a different angle and then starts the process over again. Puzzled, the captain comes over to the octopus and says, "What are you waiting around for? Hurry up and play the damn thing!" "Play it, hell!" frowned the octopus. "As soon as I figure out how to get her pyjamas off, we're outta here!"

Strange but true... Over the years there have been many urban myths in circulation from around the world. All the stories are united by one common thread their uncanny ability to unnerve the listener.

Read on if you dare...

Hanging boyfriend: A young couple on a trip to a well-known lover's lane are disturbed by screams outside their car and the boy reluctantly gets out to investigate. When her boyfriend doesn't return, the girl begins to panic, especially when she hears a repetitive banging noise on the roof of the car. Putting the vehicle into gear she tries to speed away but something keeps pulling her back. The banging noise turns out to be the sound of her boyfriend's feet - a madman has hung him by the neck with a rope that has been wrapped round a tree then tied to the car's bumper. When the girl tried to drive away she just tightened the noose around her boyfriend's neck. Granny basher: While out shopping on a Saturday, a kindly young woman discovers a confused old lady sitting in the back seat of the woman's car claiming to be lost. She asks the young woman to take her to the nearest hospital and the girl is just about to agree when she realises that the 'old lady' has abnormally large hands. Realising there's something wrong she makes a run for it. When she returns later with the police, they discover a bag full of blood-smeared weapons on the back seat. Devil calling: A dare for the fearless. Rumour has it that if you say the Lord's Prayer backwards at midnight while staring in a mirror, the devil will appear behind you...

A look at what's in store for you during June.....

Capricorn

Aquarius

Pisces

Aries

76

Capricorn, you have two more weeks of action with Mars in your sign until June 13th. You have had this transit for quite a while now, increasing your ego drive and perhaps your temper. This month you’ll have to be extra careful about the ways you express you’re stronger than usual desires and impulses with friends and especially lovers. This is for two reasons. Firstly, the June 4 Lunar Eclipse puts relationships in focus for months ahead. It can cause added friction. You and others will be more emotionally sensitive. This eclipse will also create some inner tension between your subconscious emotions and your conscious ego drives. The other reason is to take more care about how your treat your loved ones, the critical time to watch will be between June 4th to 8th because of the Transit of Venus the Sun and Mars. Try to control your energy so you don’t push your loved ones away. Aquarius you start this month with a helping hand from Mercury between June 2nd and 7th. This can bring good news, more social activity and a clear mind for tidying up paperwork and making important decisions or plans. Take advantage of Mercury and Saturn on June 3rd make long term plans and focus on your goals. This is a very important phase of your life, which represents a culmination of your hard work over many years. The June 19th New Moon makes for a harmonious aspect to your sign. This means that for the next four-week period you can enjoy more calm and balance in your life generally. Plans work out well; goals seem attainable without too much effort. Other people do not stand in your way, and you can expect favors and at least little resistance from others, especially those people with power. Pisces you will benefit from a sharp mind and good communications between June 2nd and 7th thanks to Mercury transit in your sign. This year you have been facing some frustrating delays and restrictions because of longer term opposition form Mercury and Saturn. June 3rd gives you the opportunity to break free of some of those restrictions and also to sort out any communication problems you have been having with those people who have been blocking your path. The June 19th New Moon will energise your sign. For the next four weeks you can look forward to good times, this New Moon signals a period of less resistance and even assistance from others. This is an excellent time to get on make real progress with the thing in life that mean a lot to you, work, relationships and longer term goals. Aries you start the month with a challenge from Mercury between the 7th-12th. On it’s own this transit will cause some mental stress and disagreements with others. The anxiety, uncertainty and restlessness will peak around June 11th this is because Mercury and Uranus oppose Pluto. You may be confronted by unexpected news or challenged by others this will force you to make some major changes in your thinking, or make some dramatic changes of plans about your future. Venus makes a very helpful appearance in your sign from June 16th-July 9th. During this time your love life should see improvement as you look and feel more attractive you can expect to receive more affection, compliments and interest from admirers. Finances will also be better than normal why not plan a shopping trip and spoil yourself. This is a good time meet and relax or party with friends, and to do business.

Taurus

Taurus you still have a confidence boosting Mars in your sign this lasts until June 13th. You would have felt this transit twice before in recent months (December 2011 and February 2012). Mars is now directly in this final phase of the retrograde cycle which means you can push hard to succeed and finish off those projects you have been working on since late last year. Take advantage of your increased sex appeal make the most of every opportunity. You will have the initiative and confidence to break the ice and ask someone out on a date. Think big and go for it! You will still be feeling stronger even as this Mars transit ends, and the good news continues with Mercury in your sign between June 13th and 18th. While Mars gave you energy and desire, Mercury now gives you clear thinking and increased ability to express yourself well. This will help in all negotiations.

Gemini

Gemini June is the all about the LOVE with Venus in your sign from the 15th to July 9th. This is a longer than normal transit because of the Venus retrograde meaning that you will be sorting out some issues with your partner, if you meet someone new, it may feel like you have known them before. Old friends and lovers may re-enter your life. Look forward to an excellent day on June 20th with Venus, Uranus in your sign this will add a spark of excitement to love relationships. You can expect the unexpected and may find excitement in social settings. There may be nice surprises with money and love at this time as Venus in your sign triggers your longer-term exciting change transit from Uranus. The urge to express yourself is heightened with Mercury & Venus in your sign between June 26th-July 6th. Financial matters are favored because you have an eye for value and can bargain your way to a better deal.

Cancer

Leo

Virgo

Cancer you’ll be enjoying the high energy from Mars in your sign from June 13th to July 3rd. This increases your self-confidence and desire to get ahead in life. You should feel strong and sexy, and will be more attractive to others. This is good not only for your love life but also professionally, as people will be drawn to your strong success oriented energy. You are more likely to get ahead now with little resistance and you can expect some help in your efforts. This is an ideal time to initiate projects as you have the energy and enthusiasm to see them though. Mercury in your sign from June 19th to 25th goes hand in hand with the Mars transit giving you mental stimulus also helping you express your goals and desires. Making plans, negotiating and doing business are all favored now, as is catching up with friends and clearing up any bills or paperwork. Leo you’ve got that loving feeling from Venus up until June 16th creating a beautiful atmosphere with lots of affection and tranquility. With Venus retrograde during this period you may be retracing some steps in current relationships to sort out old karma, old lovers may reappear, and any new relationship may have a feeling of familiarity, as if you have known the person before. The great start to May 2012 is a sign of things to come, because the June 4th Lunar Eclipse is in your sign. This flowing aspect will bring harmony and peace to your relationships, and with Venus the spotlight will shine on your love life. Just after the lunar eclipse there is a very rare Transit of Venus to further intensify the loving and amorous nature of this month for you. Feelings will be deep and most affectionate, having a wonderful affect on your close relationships. Virgo you’ll have a helping hand from Mercury between June 7th-12th this will expand your thinking and increase your communication skills. From June 16th though to July 9th, the Venus retrograde makes for a more challenging time putting some pressure on your love life and perhaps even your finances. Also this month you should be extra careful about how you express you’re stronger than usual desires and impulses with friends and especially lovers. Old friends or a lover may appear on the scene, which could be problematic for current relationships. You don’t want dramas in your life now but must make the effort to address any relationship difficulties so they do not get out of hand. The same goes for money, be careful with credit and be conscious of a tendency under this influence to waste money on junk you do not really need.

Libra

Libra you have Mercury in your sign between June 7th-12th which will add some nervous tension, muddled or rushed thinking and therefore some possible miscommunication or other communication problems. This will be especially noticeable on June 11th and 12th. From June 16th through until July 9th, Venus makes for the harmony in your sign. As it starts this transit, Venus is retrograde indicating some reminiscing and possible contact with old friends or lovers. You may get a nice surprise or even some financial gains around June 20th. Venus then turns directly with Mercury from June 26th, so the last few days of the month are just perfect for socialising and meeting new friends. Also this is a good time for shopping especially for clothes and other things to make you and your home more beautiful.

Scorpio

Scorpio you have the combination of the May 20th Solar Eclipse and Jupiter up until June 12th. You will feel the ego boost and extra energy from the eclipse for months ahead, but do take advantage of the good luck and optimistic outlook from Jupiter in the first two weeks of June. This is an Ideal time for travels, study, and having a good time also personal growth. Mars is firing you up to be more assertive, the second half of June you will have to regulate this strong energy because of the June 19th new moon. If you do come under pressure to defend yourself, you can draw on your quick intuition and intellect to convince others of your plans and allay any fears they have. The best day for this is June 21st with Mercury and Mars in the sky, put your case, debate, mediate and close deals.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius, you have an especially wonderful month ahead. Up until June 16th you still have Venus retrograde in your sign bringing more opportunities for love, fun times with old friends and improved financial conditions. The June 4th lunar eclipse indicates pleasant relationships for months ahead, and generally less stress in life, as things tend to go your way with more assistance from others. The eclipse does have a relationships focus in general, and for you this is especially so. The transit of Venus June 5th – 6th will amplify the good feelings and personal magnetism. Put yourself out there and take advantage of any opportunities to gain the most from this very rare event. Very fortunate for you Sagittarius is that Mercury is visiting you from June 13th to 18th this may present a day or two of mental stress but I think that great eclipse will see you through with little effort.

TIPS&TRICKS

The Good: We have all played rounds of golf we are proud of where everything just seemed to go right and the putts just would not miss the hole. By the 18th hole confidence is at an all time high and anything is possible! The Bad: This is the game where the putts just lip out, the balls will not hold the green, the chip shots are to long and by the 18th you know you have lost and handing your card in will just be a formality.

TIP TIPS&TRICKS T IP PS S& S &T TR RIIIC R CK KS S

The Good , The Bad & The Ugly

The Ugly: When this happens it comes without warning and takes the golfer totally by surprise, it will be a mixture of perfect shots which do exactly what the player wants resulting in compliments from his playing partners and then shots which are so bad the player cannot believe he played it and will look around for some excuse, a passing tractor, a whispering golfer or a barking dog. By the 18th hole you will have destroyed your score and be apologising to your playing partners. How a player deals with a bad shot or a bad round is important. Playing good golf is about confidence, you must believe that you can play the shot and get the score, what the ugly round will do is hit you hard in your self belief. The Cure: 1st. Head straight for the practice ground and check your set up and your swing. Pick a target and starting with your wedge, hit balls until ten are on target. Then move up a club, working your way through to the driver, not forgetting the putter, five balls in 1metre then 2 metres from the hole is a good drill. 2nd. Play nine holes on your own at a time when the course is not busy. Play two balls against each other, pick your targets and shots you intend to play and keep a record of the score for each ball. Your aim in this is to play two balls to the same spot. Your goal is for the balls to half the game, a lost ball is a lost game to that ball. 3rd. Play your next 18 with a good friend on a match play format, not with your boss, Put drinks in the 19th up as the prize and play to win.

F I N A N C I A L Economic & Currency News... Europe - Contagion from Greece is still the key danger The direct economic and financial effects of a Greek exit from the euro-zone need not be catastrophic. The key question remains whether the policymakers can prevent contagion effects from prompting a bigger and much more damaging break-up of the currency union. Recent developments in Greece have led many to adopt the view that the country will soon exit the single currency, perhaps even before the end of this year. But there is still much uncertainty over the economic and financial consequences of such an outcome. While some think a Greek exit would cause barely a ripple, others think it would be a “Lehmans-style event” which would inevitably spell the end of the currency union. Certainly, the direct economic consequences are likely to be relatively minor. Although the Greek economy looks likely to contract very sharply for a period, it accounts for just 2% of euro-zone GDP and is a tiny export destination for most other euro-zone countries. The financial consequences are likely to be significantly greater. Greece will presumably default on a big chunk of its outstanding €110bn of bail-outs from other euro-zone governments and the IMF, while the ECB is likely to suffer losses on its lending and Greek bond holdings. Meanwhile, the likely collapse of some Greek banks and widespread defaults amongst private Greek borrowers unable to service their euro liabilities after a sharp currency devaluation is likely to hit euro-zone commercial banks. But even these effects need not be catastrophic. The likely losses for governments add up to just 1% or so of non-Greek euro zone GDP and recapitalising the ECB might cost roughly the same. Meanwhile, commercial banks have been steadily reducing their links to Greece over recent quarters and making provisions against their remaining exposures. The pivotal issue, then, remains that of contagion. Should a Greek exit be seen as the first step in a wholesale unravelling of the currency union, the economic and financial consequences both for the euro-zone itself and for the rest of the world will be hugely more severe. Accordingly, everything hangs on what actions the policymakers are willing and able to take to prevent that process. It seems clear that the existing “firewalls” are insufficient. The expanded capacity of the EFSF and ESM – along with the IMF’s resources – is enough to meet both Italy and Spain’s financing needs until the end of 2014. But it falls well short of the amount needed to “backstop” the Spanish and Italian bond markets. The threat of a complete collapse of the currency union could prompt the policymakers into much more decisive action. The scenario of a limited form of break-up - in which a Greek exit is followed only by Portugal and perhaps Ireland - makes that assumption. There are risks that the policymakers simply cannot prevent contagion effects from prompting a bigger break-up. And right now, those risks look as big as ever.

The bank runs that we are watching right now in Greece are shocking, but they are only just the beginning. Since May 6th, nearly one billion dollars has been withdrawn from Greek banks. For a small nation like Greece, that is an absolutely catastrophic number. At this point, the entire Greek banking system is in danger of collapsing. If you had money in a Greek bank, why wouldn’t you pull it out? If Greece leaves the euro, all euros in Greek banks will likely be converted to drachmas and the value of those drachmas will almost certainly decline dramatically. In fact, it has been estimated that Greek citizens could see the value of their bank accounts decline by up to 50 percent if Greece leaves the euro. So if you had money in a Greek bank, it would only make sense to withdraw it and move it to another country as quickly as possible. As the Eurozone potentially begins to unravel, this is a scenario that we may see play out in country after country. So the bank runs that are happening in Greece right now could be a preview of things to come. Before this crisis is over we are going to see bank runs happening all over Europe. The truth is that Greece could solve their current financial problems in four easy steps. They would have to be willing to stick it to the rest of Europe and to risk being blackballed by the international community, but it could be done. 1) Default on all debts. 2) Leave the euro. 3) Issue drachmas that are debt-free and that do not come from a central bank. Instead, have the Greek government create them and spend them directly into circulation. 4) Enjoy a return to prosperity. In such a scenario, the Greek national debt would no longer be a problem, the Greek government would never have to borrow any more money and austerity would no longer be needed. Yes, inflation would be an issue with the new currency, but a bit of inflation would be a walk in the park compared to the horrible economic depression that Greece is experiencing right now. The doctor tells him, "O.K., then, we'll give you nitrous oxide." The man says, "I am allergic to the gas." So, then the doctor gives him two pills with a glass of water and the man takes it. The doctor comes back in 10 minutes and the man says, "Doc, will those two blue pills kill the pain?" The doctor replies, "No, that was Viagra." The man says, "Viagra? I don't need that!
