THE CROWN SEASONS FIVE & SIX... If you like me have binged watched Season 4 of The Crown in just one weekend then you’ll be very interested to find out when season 5 will be hitting Netflicks. Well the answer to that is 2022… The fifth series will be starting from 1992, and the 90s was a very eventful decade for the royals. With the many failed marriages of the Queen's children, Diana's shocking Panorama interview, The fire at Windsor Castle, the Dunblane massacre and then Diana's funeral. Who's in the New Cast? Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret - Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana and Dominic West as Prince Charles. The last two seasons will cover up until 2012 this will bring the end point to the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, which occurred in 2011, but would cut Prince Harry's courtship and marriage to Meghan Markle.
MEGHAN MARKLE’S POSTPONED COURT CASE... The 10-month delay has sent pregnancy rumours soaring. She was supposed to finally face off against her father Thomas Markle in court in January – in what promised to be a highly explosive start to the new year. But last week, Meghan Markle won her legal bid to delay proceedings for her High Court privacy claim against Associated Newspapers until October 2021, after lodging the request in a private hearing on a "confidentiality ground". No further details were given, but that didn’t stop speculation soaring that Meghan wants to wait 10 months because she and Prince Harry are expecting their second baby. Meghan is currently suing the Mail on Sunday’s parent company Associated Newspapers, after it published excerpts of a letter she wrote to her father in 2018.

LIAM PAYNE BEGS CHERYL: “Let me prove I’m a good dad”. He
admits it’s difficult to be away from his son. Last month, a headline stated that Cheryl and Liam Payne agreed that he should take some time away from their son, Bear. The pop star was clearly furious at the insinuation that he was some sort of absent father, and he took to Instagram to fight back. And we’re told that Liam is now determined to show Cheryl and the world that Bear is his priority. Liam spoke about how tough it was to be away from his three-year-old son.

THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS TALE Once upon a time, a perfect man and a perfect woman met. After a perfect courtship, they had a perfect wedding. Their life together was, of course, perfect...
One snowy, stormy Christmas Eve, this perfect couple were driving their perfect car along a winding road, when they noticed someone at the side of the road in distress. Being the perfect couple, they stopped to help. There stood Santa Claus with a huge bundle of toys. Not wanting to disappoint any children on the eve of Christmas, the perfect couple loaded Santa and his toys into their vehicle. Soon they were driving along delivering the toys. Unfortunately, the driving conditions deteriorated and the perfect couple; and Santa Claus had an accident. Only one of them survived the accident. Question: Who was the survivor?
Answer: The perfect woman survived. She's the only one who really existed in the first place. Everyone knows there is no Santa Claus and there is no such thing as a perfect man.
**** WOMEN STOP READING HERE, that is the end of the joke. Men keep going... So, if there is no perfect man and no Santa Claus, the woman must have been driving. This explains why there was a car accident in the first place.

The Grim Reaper Away..
Q: I'VE HEARD THAT CARDIOVASCULAR
EXERCISE CAN PROLONG LIFE. IS THIS TRUE? a: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.
Q: SHOULD I CUT DOWN ON MEAT AND EAT MORE FRUITS AND VEGETABLES? a: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay, grass and corn. And
what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable slop.
Q: IS BEER OR WINE BAD FOR ME? a: Look, it goes to the earlier point about fruits
and vegetables. As we all know, scientists divide everything in the world into three categories: animal, mineral, and vegetable. We all know that beer and wine are not animal, and they are not on the periodic table of elements, so that only leaves one thing, right? My advice: Have a burger and a beer and enjoy your liquid vegetables.

Q: HOW CAN I CALCULATE MY
The Grim Reaper Away..
BODY/FAT RATIO? A: Well, if you have a body, and you have body fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.
Q: WHAT ARE SOME OF THE ADVANTAGES OF PARTICIPATING IN A REGULAR EXERCISE PROGRAM?
A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain-No Pain. Q: WILL SIT-UPS HELP PREVENT ME FROM GETTING A LITTLE SOFT AROUND THE MIDDLE?
A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only
be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.
I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about trying to live a longer and healthier life...

mmmmm, Ponderisms...
• Who was the first person to say, "See that chicken there? I'm gonna eat the next thing that comes outta its butt." • Why does your Doctor leave the room when you get undressed if they are seeing you half naked anyway?
• Do illiterate people get the full effect of Alphabet Soup? • If a pig loses its voice, is it disgruntled? • If people from Poland are called Poles, why aren't people from Holland called Holes?
• Health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die. • All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism. • Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway. • Why is there a light in the fridge and not in the freezer? • If lawyers are disbarred and clergymen defrocked, doesn't it follow that electricians can be delighted, musicians denoted, cowboys deranged, models deposed, tree surgeons debarked, and dry cleaners depressed?

Japanese hotel service...
A Canadian salesman checked into a futuristic hotel in Tokyo, Japan... Realising he needed a haircut before the next day's meeting, he called down to the desk clerk to ask if there was a barber on the premises. 'I'm afraid not, sir,' the clerk told him apologetically, 'but down the hall from your room is a vending machine that should serve your purposes.' Skeptical but intrigued, the salesman located the machine, inserted 15.00 Yen, and stuck his head into the opening, at which time the machine started to buzz and whirl. Fifteen seconds later the salesman pulled out his head and surveyed his reflection, which reflected the best haircut of his life. Two feet away was another machine with a sign that read,'Manicures, 20.00 Yen'. ‘Why not?' thought the salesman. He paid the money, inserted his hands into the slot, and the machine started to buzz and whirl. Fifteen seconds later he pulled out his hands and they were perfectly manicured. The next machine had a sign that read, 'This Machine Provides a Service Men Need When Away from Their Wives, 1 Yen.' The salesman looked both ways, put one Yen in the machine, unzipped his fly, and with some anticipation, stuck his manhood into the opening. When the machine started buzzing, the guy let out a shriek of agony and almost passed out. Fifteen seconds later it shut off. With trembling hands, the salesman was able to withdraw his tender unit, which now had a button sewn neatly on the end.

The priest entered his donkey in a race and it won. The priest was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again.
The local paper read: PRIEST'S ASS OUT FRONT.
The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the priest not to enter the donkey in another race. The next day, the local paper headline read: BISHOP SCRATCHES PRIEST'S ASS. This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the priest to get rid of the donkey. The priest decided to give it to a nun in a nearby convent. The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headline the next day:
NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN.
The bishop fainted. He informed the nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey, so she sold it to a farmer for 100€. The next day the paper read:
NUN SELLS ASS FOR 100€!
This was all too much for the bishop, so he ordered the nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild. The next day the headlines read:
NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD AND FREE! The bishop was buried the next day.

Dyson’s Lightcycle Morph lamp is able to track natural daylight and dynamically adjust its brightness and colour temperature accordingly. A multi-purpose lamp, it can rotate 360 degrees to bounce around the room, while an ambient mode emits a subtle orange glow with reduced blue light. It can focus its output on desk-based hobbies or make-up application, or create dramatic effects to highlight artworks. The Transparent's Light Speaker is a Bluetooth-connected take on a traditional outdoor lantern, only rather than housing an actual candle, a sound-activated "vibrating bass-and-light element" recreates the glow. The Swedes behind the idea say they analysed real flames and that the light can be altered from a burning coals effect, to flickering candlelight, or a reading.

Water is something you don’t normally want to put inside your camera but Lomo's liquid-filled pano-cam allows you to pour liquid into the fixed-focus lens to give its extra-wide shots a dreamy, psychedelic feel. MEDICAL MAYHEM
JUST FRED... A police officer stops a car for traveling faster than
the posted speed limit. Since he's in a good mood that day he decides he might give the fellow a break and write him out a warning instead of a ticket. So, he asks the man his name. "Fred," the driver replies. "Fred what?" the officer asks. "Just Fred," the man responds. When the officer presses him for a last name, the man tells him that he used to have a last name but lost it. The officer thinks he has a nut case on his hands but plays along with it. "Tell me Fred, how did you lose your last name?" The man replies, "It's a long story so stay with me. I was born Fred Dingaling. I know, funny last name. The kids used to tease me all the time. So I stayed to myself. I studied hard and got good grades." When I got older I realised that I wanted to be a doctor. I went through college medical school, internship, and residency, finally got my degree so I was Fred Dingaling, MD. After a while I got bored being a doctor so I decided to go back to school. Dentistry was my dream. Got all the way through school, got my degree so I was now Fred Dingaling, MD, DDS. Got bored doing dentistry so I started fooling around with my assistant. She gave me VD. So, I was Fred Dingaling, MD, DDS with VD. Well, the ADA found out about the VD so they took away my DDS so I was Fred Dingaling MD with VD. Then the AMA found out about the ADA taking away my DDS because of the VD, so they took away my MD leaving me as Fred Dingaling with VD. Then the VD took away my dingaling . . . so now I'm just Fred." The officer walked away in tears, laughing....
WHAT IS Health & REFLEXOLOGY? Well Being
Dec/Jan 2020-2021 Costa Link Magazine.qxp_Editorial Layout 23/11/20 1:56 pm Page 48
by Dolly’s Treat
It’s so much more than just a foot massage! In reflexology, pressure is applied to specific reflex points on the foot. These points correspond to organs and areas of the body. The treatment is said to induce a healing response, even alleviating some ailments. Reflexology is one of the most popular types of massage. Beyond the feel-good effects of the treatment, the practice and purpose go deeper than the skin and muscles. Kneading the soft fleshy ball of the foot, pulling on the toes, tracing around the heel and pushing deep into the arch are just a few of the movements you’ll experience during a treatment.
But what is all of that for? Well, there is a method to the treatment, and it all revolves around the charted areas of your foot.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
UNDERSTANDING A FOOT REFLEXOLOGY CHART The image on the left is an example of a reflexology foot chart or map. It shows which part of the foot connects to each organ or area of the body. As you can see, there’s a spot on the map for every organ or system in the body. I can treat specific parts of your body by targeting that area of the foot.
Reflexology can address anything from headaches to sinus problems to stomach issues. If sensitivity or tenderness is experienced when an area is stimulated, it usually indicates bodily weaknesses or imbalances within the corresponding organ. With repeated pressure and manipulation of nerve endings, reflexology can help to clear any channels of blocked energy. It is said to do so through moving the flow of blood, nutrients and nerve impulses. This ultimately improves overall health and balance.
OTHER POTENTIAL BENEFITS •Cleanse the body of toxins •Boost the immune system •Increase circulation •Promote healing •Balance energy
WHAT IS A REFLEXOLOGY SESSION LIKE?
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT REFLEXOLOGY OR TO BOOK A SESSION, PLEASE LOOK AT MY ADVERT ON PAGE NINE OR SEE MY WEBSITE DOLLYSTREAT.COM
Have a conversation with me beforehand to discuss issues like tension headaches or trouble sleeping. During the session, you’re clothed and seated or lying down. I will rub, press on and squeeze points on your feet. I may concentrate on specific areas to alleviate ailments. For example, if you have sinus trouble, I’ll focus on your toes. But I might also work on the whole foot in order to strengthen every system in the body. 48

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE...
High blood pressure, or hypertension, rarely has noticeable symptoms. But if untreated, it increases your risk of serious problems such as heart attacks and strokes. More than one in four adults have high blood pressure, although many won't realise it. The only way to find out if your blood pressure is high is to have your blood pressure checked.
WHAT IS HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE?
Blood pressure is recorded with two numbers. The systolic pressure (higher number) is the force at which your heart pumps blood around your body. The diastolic pressure (lower number) is the resistance to the blood flow in the blood vessels. They're both measured in millimetres of mercury (mmHg). As a general guide: • High blood pressure is considered to be 140/90mmHg or higher. • Ideal blood pressure is considered to be between 90/60mmHg and 120/80mmHg. • Low blood pressure is considered to be 90/60mmHg or lower. A blood pressure reading between 120 / 80mmHg and 140 / 90mmHg could mean you're at risk of developing high blood pressure if you don't take steps to keep your blood pressure under control.
RISKS OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
If your blood pressure is too high, it puts extra strain on your blood vessels, heart and other organs, such as the brain, kidneys and eyes. Persistent high blood pressure can increase your risk of a number of serious and potentially life-threatening conditions, such as: • Heart disease • Heart attacks • Strokes • Heart failure • Peripheral arterial disease • Aortic aneurysms • Kidney disease • Vascular dementia If you have high blood pressure, reducing it even a small amount can help lower your risk of these conditions.
CHECK YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE
The only way of knowing whether you have high blood pressure is to have a blood pressure test. All adults over 40 are advised to have their blood pressure checked at least every five years. Getting this done is easy and could save your life. You can get your blood pressure tested at a number of places, including: • At your Doctors surgery • At some pharmacies
50
CAUSES OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
It's not always clear what causes high blood pressure, but certain things can increase your risk. You're at an increased risk of high blood pressure if you: • Are over the age of 65 • Are overweight or obese • Have a relative with high blood pressure • Eat too much salt and don't eat enough fruit and veg • Don’t do enough exercise • Drink too much alcohol or coffee • Smoke • Don’t get much sleep or have disturbed sleep Making healthy lifestyle changes can help reduce your chances of getting high blood pressure and help lower your blood pressure if it's already high.
REDUCE YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE
The following lifestyle changes can help prevent and lower high blood pressure: • Reduce the amount of salt you eat and • Have a generally healthy diet • Cut back on alcohol if you drink too much • Lose weight if you're overweight • Exercise regularly • Cut down on caffeine • Stop smoking • Try to get at least six hours of sleep a night Some people with high blood pressure may also need to take one or more medicines to stop their blood pressure getting too high.

The hospital is equipped with Femtosecond and Teneo / 2 lasers, which allow us to successfully treat common ocular pathologies such as myopia, presbyopia, astigmatism or hypermetropia. Regarding the Femtosecond laser, Dr. Cilveti explains that it is used for all of these types of pathologies, and also in the case of cataracts.
By dispensing with the cutting instruments used in other techniques, performance and precision is improved, which subsequently results in a faster recovery, a higher visual quality, with fewer corneal aberrations and less astigmatism induced both in refractive surgery, as well as in presbyopia and cataract surgery .
The Teneo / 2 laser also enables specialists to treat these ocular problems, and together with the Femtosecond laser, these constitute the most advanced laser treatments currently in existence today. These procedures are particularly impressive, as the surgery is performed in several seconds.

To banish any ill fortune or bad things that happened in the past year, Ecuadorians set fire to scarecrows filled with paper at midnight on New Year’s Eve. They also burn photographs of things that represent the past year, which leads us to believe that New Year is just a thinly veiled excuse for Ecuadorian pyromaniacs to set things on fire.

This annual Peruvian festival held at the end of December is all about people beating the living daylights out of each other. Competitors face off in a ring for a round of bare-knuckle brawling, which is overseen by local policemen. Takanakuy literally means ‘when the blood is boiling’, but apparently all of the fights are friendly, and represent a fresh start for the year.

The Ford Puma had the ST treatment, and it promises to become one of the most exciting small performance cars on the market. ANTIQUES OF THE FUTURE With household income falling, people are considering other means of making extra cash - including snapping up collectibles. While it can be difficult to know what items today could become collectible – and highly valuable in future, vintage fashion, jewellery, art, classic cars, vinyl records, coins, comics and childhood toys are some safe bets.
1. First-edition modern books One are in which collectibles could grow in value in future is first-edition modern books, with The Da Vinci Code, Twilight and Game of Thrones being the top three titles to hunt down online if you are a budding book collector. The Da Vinci Code is a worldwide bestseller and could become a collector's item in future...
3. Fashion collaborations
2. Toys and figurines Books are followed by licensed toys and figures, such as Power Rangers Dino Charge, Harry Potter Lego, Star Wars Lego and Bratz. Toys always do extremely well in the collectibles market as many people want to recapture their youth by re-buying toys they had as children.
When scouring the shelves for fashion finds that will provide funds in the future, track down high-street collaborations: such as Kate Moss for Topshop & Balmain for H&M they have all the right ingredients to make them highly prized possessions in the future, thanks to a good designer name, with a unique style that shows the era in which they were desinged. The Balmain x H&M collaboration launched in 2015 and was hugely popular with shoppers. Designed by Balmain's creative director Olivier Rousteing and modeled by Jourdan Dunnand Kendall Jenner.
4. First Generation Apple iPod Shuffle Technology doesn’t always increase in value over time, but there are a few gadgets worth keeping an eye out for, including the First Generation Apple iPod shuffle. While you can no longer buy this iPod directly from Apple or other high street retailers, they can be picked up on eBay for around £25.

CHEAP ITEMS TO BUY TODAY THAT COULD MAKE YOU A FORTUNE
5. Amazon Echo
6. Dyson Supersonic hairdryer
(first release)
The Dyson Supersonic hairdryer was a first of its kind when it launched last year, with controlled air flow, heat which does not exceed 150 degrees (current models can reach a damaging 230 degrees) and clever magnetic nozzle attachments. More than 100 engineers tested the hairdryer on 1,010 miles of human hair and created 600 prototypes. When looking for collectibles, think about searching for items that epitomise the era you live in and that have a strong design concept, as they’re more likely to make their way onto collectors’ radars in the future. This distinctly weird-looking Dyson hairdryer earns its price tag by being six times smaller and three timeslighter than traditional models.
The more recently launched voice-activated home audio speaker system Amazon Echo Voice (first release) is also likely to be a money-maker. While at its heart the Echo is a wireless speaker, it can also set alarms, play music, check the weather, read the news, check the football scores or answer factual questions. Buying one today would cost you just shy of £150.
7. Emma Bridgewater home accessories Certain ceramic goods and furniture will remain highly desirable with collectors in future years, and modern designers to look for include Emma Bridgewater, who creates distinctively patterned homeware. One particular item to look out for in her collection is the portable radio, currently on sale for £130.
8. Cath Kidston furniture Cath Kidston is another modern designer that could be popular with collectors in future, thanks to her distinctive patterns and prints. Her shabby chic chairs as potentially the most profitable of all her products.
9. First edition board games If you come across an original version of a board game, such as Perfection, Crossfire, Jamanji or Omega Virus, it could be highly valuable in future – but make sure it’s in pristine condition before purchasing as this will enhance its value. It is recommend that collectors do their best to take care of their possessions, as their future value is always dependent on their condition. Keep them in waterproof and mould resistant storage containers where possible... and in a room with a controlled temperature. If they are stashed away in a loft or garage, then they could become damaged due to the varying hot and cold temperatures.
10. Nintendo DS Another potential money spinner is the original Nintendo DS, which launched in 2004. All Nintendo DS models combined have sold more than 154 million units, making it the best selling handheld game console to date. While you can pick up an original Nintendo today for around £20 online, it could be worth significantly more in future.

Care with spending is still a good idea, since you’re tempted to buy something you don’t really need in the January sales! Clear your mind, get open to new ideas, and become more tolerant of others. That will lift you into a renewed feeling of hope for today and for your future.

CHRISTMAS RAFFLE... Tom, Dick and Harry were in the pub, a week before Xmas, enjoying a few quiet drinks, when they decided to get in on the Xmas raffle. They bought five €1 tickets each, seeing it was for charity. The following week, when the raffle was drawn, they each won a prize. Tom won the first prize - a whole year's supply of gourmet spaghetti sauce. Dick was the winner of the second prize, six month's supply of extra-long gourmet spaghetti. And Harry won the sixth prize - a toilet brush. When they met in the pub a week later, Harry asked the others how they were enjoying their prizes. "Great," said Tom. "I love spaghetti." "So do I," said Dick. "And how's the toilet brush, Harry?" "Not so good," Harry said, "I reckon I'll go back to paper..."

Planning the New Years party to end all parties a guy goes to the pharmacist and says, "Listen, these two girls are coming over this weekend, and they are hot, very hot. Would you have something to get me going all night? It's going to be a hell of a party." The pharmacist goes in the back room, comes back with an old dusty bottle and says, "This stuff is potent: drink only one ounce of it, and I guarantee that you will be doing the wild thing all night. Let me know how it goes." The weekend goes by and on Monday morning, the pharmacist goes to work and finds the same guy waiting for him on the door-step. The pharmacist says, "What are you doing here so early? How was your weekend?" The guy replies, "Quick, I need muscle pain relief. The pharmacist, knowing what the guy had been doing all weekend, says, "Are you crazy, you can't put that on your gentleman parts. The skin is way too sensitive." The guy says, "No, no, It's not for that, it's for my arm." Pharmacist: "What?? What happened?" Guy replies, "Well...I drank the whole bottle of your potion." Pharmacist: "Oh my god, and then what ? " "The girls never showed up!"
