ERIKA JAYNE’S DIVORCE... The 49-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star filed for divorce from the 81-year-old in November after 21 years of marriage. The following month, Girardi was sued for allegedly embezzling funds from several families whose loved ones died in a 2018 Boeing 737 plane crash. Jayne is also named in the lawsuit, as the plaintiffs allege in the filing that her ex embezzled the money in order to continue funding his and Erika's lavish Beverly Hills lifestyles. Despite the turmoil, Erika is moving on to a $9,900 PCM LA rental - Friends say she's sad about the marriage and in shock and disbelief over Tom's legal issues. But she wants to put it behind her also saying, “She is single and ready to date again."
ADELE DIVORCE SETTLEMENT... Adele filed for divorce in Los Angeles last September, court documents show that the star filed a judgement packet in early January. The pair will officially be divorced once a judge signs off on the agreement. No details of the settlement have been made public, but records show assets and properties will be decided through mediation. The $244M divorce settlement will be kept secret. 1) IMMUNITY It should come as no surprise that, in the middle of a global pandemic, immunity is a hot ticket item. While following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and your local public health department is important to help stop the spread of diseases like COVID-19, there are things you can do to keep your immune system as healthy as possible. Get enough sleep, exercise regularly, reduce stress in your life and eat a well-balanced diet. Certain nutrients, like vitamins A, C and D, as well as zinc, all support your immune system.
2) GUT HEALTH You’re probably familiar with probiotics: good-for-your-gut bugs found in fermented foods like yogurt and kimchi. But it’s not just probiotics that are important for gut health. Prebiotics, a type of fiber, and even postbiotics, a functional fermentation compound, are popping up more and more. Prebiotics are found in asparagus, Jerusalem artichokes (also called sunchokes), walnuts and wheat , and we’re also seeing them added to everything from energy bars and candy to drinks. 5) AIR FRYING People did a lot more cooking at home last year, and one appliance they leaned on was the air fryer. Air fryers are basically mini-convection ovens that heat up in minutes and create a crispy texture on food with virtually no oil. The old versions were small only holding enough food for about two servings but the new extra-large versions can cook enough food in one batch to serve at least four, if not six. VALENTINE’S DAY - PASSION CAKE If you’re a fan of passion fruit martinis, you’ll love this sumptuous triple-layered passion cake.
Ingredients:
FOR THE CAKE • 150ml sunflower oil,
(plus a little extra for the tin)
• 300g self-raising flour • 1 tsp ground cinnamon • 1 tsp baking powder • 300g caster sugar • 50g desiccated coconut • 2 eggs,
FOR THE DRIZZLE & ICING • 4 ripe passion fruits, halved • 25g caster sugar • 200g tub soft cheese • 100g softened butter • 85g icing sugar • 1 tsp vanilla extract
(plus 2 egg whites, whole eggs beaten)
• 2 over-ripe bananas, mashed • 140g carrots, grated • 432g can crushed pineapple
in juice, drained in a sieve, reserving the juice (or briefly whizz a can of pineapple chunks, then sieve)
• 100ml milk
Method:
STEP 1: Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Oil and line the bases of 3 x 20cm sandwich tins with baking parchment. Mix the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, half the sugar and the coconut in a large mixing bowl. In another bowl mix the beaten whole eggs, mashed bananas, grated carrot, drained crushed pineapple, milk and oil. Beat the egg whites until stiff, then add the remaining sugar and beat until stiff and shiny again.
STEP 2: Stir the wet mixture into the dry until smooth and lump-free, then using a large metal spoon or spatula, fold in the egg white mixture. Divide evenly between the tins and bake for 25 mins until risen and a skewer comes out clean. You might need to swap the position of the tins after 20 mins.

Electric cars are the future, but the idea isn’t new…… It is believed that a Scotsman named Robert Anderson built the first “electric-powered carriage” in 1832.
Ferdinand Porsche’s first car design was the Egger-Lohner Vehicle in 1898. Known as P1 (Porsche Number One) He drove it himself in a 24-mile road race of electric cars, carrying three passengers, and won the race, beating the next car by 18 minutes. In post-war Japan petrol was scarce and expensive. The government encouraged production of electric cars. With a top speed of 20 mph and a range of 40 miles, the 1947 Tama was a popular choice for taxis and delivery vehicles. Tama later became Prince, then Datsun and now Nissan.
In 1967 Robert Anderson from Michigan’s vision was to set up a network of charging stations. Together with Renault dealer Donald Swanson they turned the Renault 10 into Mars II that could reach about 62mph and travel for up to 124 miles on a charge. Only 5 charging stations were built and around 50 cars were sold.
The Sebring-Vanguard CitiCar was produced from 1974 to 1977 offered as a hatchback coupe (shown) or as the slightly longer CitiVan 4444 were sold. The design still lives on in todays Norwegian Kewet.

The first “modern” electric car, Peugeot’s electric powered version of the 106, called the Electrique predated the Toyota Prius by 2 years and had a top speed of 90 kmh and a range of 100 km. Around 6,400 were sold between 1995 and 2003.
