Ed’s Note..

ARRRGGGGHHH quick it’s happened again, IT”S BEACH TIME EVEVRYONE and I just don’t fit in my swimmers… Not so much smuggling a budgie more like the entire aviary! Anyhow it’s May that’s the month that things brighten up here on the coast. The sun suddenly heats up; the clouds (well most of them) melt away, bliss! Well there are lots of things for HRH the Queen to be happy about she celebrated her 93rd birthday last month and we think she has a new Great Grandson or Grand Daughter (not sure at the time of going to press). Dates for your diary this month are a cheeky bank holiday on Wednesday the 1st and to make it even better Spanish Mothers day is on the 5th of the month. We hope you enjoy the read, have a fantastic month... Keep smiling!

A Woman’s World

GIRL POWER... DUSTY UNDERWEAR...

One evening a husband, thinking he was being funny, said to his wife, “Perhaps we should start washing your clothes in ‘Slim Fast’. Maybe it would take a few inches off of your bottom!” His wife was not amused, and decided that she simply couldn't let such a comment go unrewarded. The next morning the husband took a pair of pants out of his drawer. “What the hell is this?” he said to himself, as a little ‘dust’ cloud appeared when he shook them out... “April”, he hollered into the bathroom, “Why did you put talcum powder in my underwear?” She replied with a snigger. “It's not talcum powder...it's ‘Miracle Grow!’” • What’s the fastest way to a man’s heart? THE MOST UNLIKELY BFFS’:

BIZARRE CELEBRITY FRIENDSHIPS...

Some celebs you just wouldn’t expect mix… From meeting at the MTV Music Awards to the Dogs of Battersea famous pals you wouldn’t put together! Tom Hardy & Paul O’Grady: Paul, 63, first met 41-year-old Tom when the actor appeared on his TV series, ‘For The Love Of Dogs’. The pair subsequently bonded over their, erm, love of dogs and now regularly text each other – who’d have thought it?

50 Cent & Meryl Streep: Hollywood royalty Meryl Streep and rapper 50 Cent hit it in January 2014. The pair got along like a house on fire and were holding hands and sharing cuddles by the end of the match.

Lady Gaga & June Brown: Lady Gaga hit it off with EastEnders’ legend June Brown when they met on The Graham Norton Show. The pair kept in touch and Gaga invited June over to her London hotel for afternoon tea the next month, also inviting her to be her plus one at her London performances. It is though that June, 92, and Gaga are sure to keep in touch whenever the singer is in the UK.

Katy Perry & Geoff Boycott: In 2012, England Test cricketer Geoff Boycott gushed about how much he loved singing superstar Katy Perry, with the pair eventually meeting in May 2014, and are still firm buddies now...

Jedward & Tara Reid: We have a feeling that nobody is more surprised by Jedward’s close friendship with Hollywood actress Tara Reid than Jedward are, with the pair befriended her on the first stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

THE MOST UNLIKELY BFFS’:

CONTINUED, BIZARRE CELEBRITY FRIENDSHIPS...

James Blunt & Hulk Hogan: To be honest, James Blunt is one of those celebrities who can’t really surprise us any more, but we’d definitely love to know what is going on in this cute pic with Hulk Hogan. The pair met at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2006 and the rest, as they say, is history. Rylan Clark-Neal & Hillary Clinton: In 2014, before we knew that Hillary Clinton would be Donald Trump’s closest presidential competitor, Rylan Clark-Neal met and interviewed the US politician for This Morning. Putting on no airs and graces, Rylan won Hillary over when he referred to her as “Hils” and “babes”, and he continued to support her political campaign over the years. David Beckham & Snoop Dogg: Nice guy David Beckham is friends with basically everybody in the celebrity world so it’s no real surprise that he is on good terms with rapper Snoop Dogg. However, what is shocking is just how close they are, with Snoop apparently playing his new music to Becks before anybody else. Russell Brand & Helen Mirren: The two Brits first met on the set of ‘Arthur’ and they got along so well that Russell gifted Helen with a diamond necklace. The Hollywood legend gushed about her co-star: “Russell is the archetypal bad boy, who is really just the best, goodest boy you could possibly meet.”REALLY? Rihanna & Jim Parsons: Who would have thought that RiRi and the Big Bang Theory actor would become bezzie mates after working on an animated film together, eh? Sheldon with cool friends? Bazinga...!

“What’s the SPEED limit Mildred?” WAITING IN A LAY BY READY TO CATCH SPEEDING DRIVER... A Police Officer sees a car pottering along the A22 at well under the 30 mile per hour limit. He thinks to himself for a minute... "This driver is just as dangerous as a speeder!" So he turns on his twos and blues and pulls the driver over. Approaching the car, he notices that there are five old ladies, two in the front seats and three in the back...wide-eyed and white as ghosts. The driver, obviously confused, says to him "Officer, I don't understand, I was doing exactly the speed limit! What seems to be the problem?" "Ma'am," the officer replies, "you weren't speeding, but you should know that driving slower than the speed limit can also be a danger to other drivers." "Slower than the speed limit? No sir, I was doing the speed limit exactly, twenty-two miles an hour!" The old woman says a bit proudly. The Police officer, trying to contain a chuckle explains to her that A22 is the road number, not the speed limit. A bit embarrassed, the woman grins and thanks the officer for pointing out her error. "But before I let you go, Ma'am, I have to ask, is everyone in this car OK? These women seem awfully shaken, and they haven't made a sound this whole time,” the officer asks. "Oh, they'll be all right in a minute officer. We've just come off the A120."

The FUNNY side of health! Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true? A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables? A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable slop.

Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle? A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

Marrakech is on most peoples’ bucket list and for good reason but what should be experienced to make it a trip you will truly never forget? 1. Djemma el-Fna: The infamous central souk (or market) that every tourist or resident without doubt, has to experience. It is a labyrinth of stalls and passages. Head for the centre, aim to get lost and that’s where you will bag yourself a bargain not the outskirts where all the other tourists stay. Berber carpets, spices, clothing, dried fruits and nuts, woodwork, the list is endless of all the exciting items on display. It’s a shopper’s paradise – but go prepared to haggle and braced for the chaos! 2. Medina: The Medina is the inner city and it surrounds and winds off in all directions from Djemma el-Fna. This is where you will find the best places for eating locally. Try a stall in a wall, taste the local tajine, sip tea in the evening surrounded by the sweet smell of shisha and street performers, snake charmers and acrobats (remember to take a handful of coins; a few dirhams will suffice). Marrakech is a Muslim country, it’s not about heavy drinking nightlife, but cafes will entertain you long into the evening. 3. Hammam: Moroccan hammams are famous the world round. Many hotels will have their own and there will be local hammams in the medina too. Definitely worth a try for a more relaxing afternoon after all your sightseeing. 4. Stay in a Riad: Riads are small, local houses converted into hotels and offer an authentic, intimate stay. Service is notoriously excellent and they are central too! 5. Cooking Class: If you have a passion for cooking this is a dream destination for a local cooking class. Learn to cook tajines from scratch, experiment with local flavours and pick yourself up some local spices before heading home so you can impress your friends on your return.

The FUNNY side of health! Q: Is beer or wine bad for me? A: Look, it goes to the earlier point about fruits and vegetables. As we all know, scientists divide everything in the world into three categories: animal, mineral, and vegetable. We all know that beer and wine are not animal, and they are not on the periodic table of elements, so that only leaves one thing, right? My advice: Have a burger and a beer and enjoy your liquid vegetables.

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio? A: Well, if you have a body, and you have body fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program? A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain-No Pain.

I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about trying to live a longer and healthier life...

Experienced cruisers join us based on our choice of ship, price and package included in the price. HOW DO WE ALWAYS WIN ON PRICE? We always guarantee the cruise line a minimum, of 100 passengers as soon as a cruise is announced. This, as you can imaging, gives us exceptional negotiating power when it comes to price and package. We do this by selecting the best ship, coupled with the most exciting itinerary for JUST ONE CRUISE EVERY YEAR. enough said, REALLY ENOUGH SAID! I have a little GPS I've had it all my life It's better than the normal ones My GPS is my wife It gives me full instructions Especially how to drive "It’s sixty k's an hour", it says "You're doing sixty five" It tells me when to stop and start And when to use the brake And tells me that it's never ever Safe to overtake It tells me when a light is red And when it goes to green It seems to know instinctively Just when to intervene

50

It lists the vehicles just in front, And all those to the rear, And taking this into account It specifies my gear. I'm sure no other driver, Has so helpful a device, For when we leave & lock the car It still gives its advice. It fills me up with counseling, Each journey's pretty fraught, So why don't I exchange it And get a quieter sort? Ah well, you see, it cleans the house, Makes sure I’m properly fed, It washes all my shirts and things and...lets me have a shed. Despite all these advantages, And my tendency to scoff.... I DO WISH THAT ONCE IN A WHILE I COULD TURN THE DARN THING OFF.

FUNNY TIPS FOR US FELLOWS...

GETTING FIT... My gf has recently got an urge to get fit, in the process she took up pole dancing classes and asked whether she should buy a pole to practice at home. Trying not to be over excited I said yes and helped her put it up. As soon as its up, she takes most of her clothes off and is busy hanging off the pole. GUYS YOU HAVE TO GET ONE OF THESE AT HOME....

WHERE TO PEE... Seventy-year-old George went for his annual check-up. He told the doctor that he felt fine, but often had to go to the bathroom during the night. Then he said: "But you know Doc, I'm blessed. God knows my eyesight is going, so he puts on the light when I pee, and turns it off when I'm done!"A little later in the day, Dr. Smith called George's wife and said: "Your husband's test results were fine, but he said something strange that has been bugging me. He claims that God turns the light on and off for him when uses the bathroom at night." Thelma exclaimed: "That old fool! He's been peeing in the refrigerator again! 007 CHAT UP LINE... James Bond walks into a bar and takes a seat next to a very attractive woman. He gives her a quick glance, and then casually looks at his watch. The woman notices this and asks, "Is your date running late?" "No," he replies, "Q has just given me this state-of-the-art watch. I was just testing it." The intrigued woman says, "State-of-the-art watch? What is so special about it?" "It uses alpha waves to talk to me telepathically," Bond explains. "So what's it telling you now?" says the woman. "Well, it says you're not wearing any knickers," Bond replies. The woman giggles and says, "Well it must bebroken because I am wearing knickers!" Bond smirks, taps his watch and says, "Bloody thing's an hour fast."

NAPPING IS FANTASTIC FOR YOUR HEALTH

AN AFTERNOON NAP IS GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH... Dropping off for around an hour during the day helps to lower blood pressure.

3pm. Other illustrious nappers include Albert Einstein, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Johannes Brahms.

IT’S OFFICIAL...

Sleeping is good for you. No surprises there, of course – but it's daytime sleeping (otherwise known as a catnap, a siesta, or just falling asleep at your desk with your head on your elbow, dribbling on your sleeve) that, according to new research, could actually improve the health of your heart. Researchers at Allegheny College in Pennsylvania have found that dropping off for 45 minutes to an hour helps to lower your blood pressure after a stressful event.

More than 85% of mammalian species are polyphasic sleepers, meaning that they sleep for short periods throughout the day. Humans are part of the minority of monophasic sleepers, meaning that our days are divided into two

54

distinct periods, one for sleep and one for wakefulness. It is not clear that this is the natural sleep pattern of humans. Young children and elderly persons nap, for example, and napping is a very important aspect of many cultures.

Many high achievers have longproclaimed the benefits of taking a brief time-out from the stresses of the day. Winston Churchill first coined the term "power nap", claiming that a daily afternoon sleep brought him the clarity of thinking he needed for wartime victory. "You must sleep some time between lunch and dinner, and no halfway measures," he insisted. Margaret Thatcher famously ordered her aides not to disturb her between 2.30 and 3.30pm, so she could snooze; Bill Clinton did the same each day at

For most of us, however, taking to our bed after lunch is more than a little impractical. So what do you do if you want a nifty siesta – purely for medicinal purposes. The first place to head for is the park – though best saved for summer, a cosy duvet-jacket or onesie might provide the appropriate quilting at this time of year. You could tell your boss you've got a lunch meeting, and then go out and choose the dullest film you can find – True Grit should do the trick – let your eyes close as the lights dim, and hey presto you're napping. Or what about picking a bus route or train journey that takes roughly 45 minutes, donning your eye-mask and earplugs and asking the nice lady opposite to wake you up when you get there.

Of course, for advanced nappers it's a no-brainer. Schedule your dullest meetings for mid-afternoon, then discreetly zone out while keeping your head and neck upright and nodding at intervals when you are needed, ig you can keep your eyes open all for the better. If you're lucky, nobody will notice.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU THINK SOMEONE IS HAVING A STROKE... A stroke is a serious life-threatening medical condition that occurs when the blood supply to part of

the brain is cut off. Strokes are a medical emergency and urgent treatment is essential. The sooner a person receives treatment for a stroke, the less damage is likely to happen. If you suspect that you or someone else is having a stroke, phone 112 immediately and ask for an ambulance.

THE MAIN SYMPTOMS OF STROKE CAN BE REMEMBERED WITH THE WORD F.A.S.T. FACE: The face may have dropped on 1 side, the person may

not be able to smile, or their mouth or eye may have dropped.

ARMS: The person with suspected stroke may not be able

to lift both arms and keep them there because of weakness or numbness in 1 arm.

SPEECH: their speech may be slurred or garbled, or the person may not be able to talk at all despite appearing to be awake; they may also have problems understanding what you're saying to them.

TIME: it's time to dial 112 immediately if you see any of these signs or symptoms.

CAUSES OF A STROKE

Like all organs, the brain needs the oxygen and nutrients provided by blood to function properly. If the supply of blood is restricted or stopped, brain cells begin to die. This can lead to brain injury, disability and possibly death. There are 2 main causes of strokes: ischaemic – where the blood supply is stopped because of a blood clot, accounting for 85% of all cases haemorrhagic – where a weakened blood vessel supplying the brain bursts There's also a related condition known as a transient ischaemic attack (TIA), where the blood supply to the brain is temporarily interrupted. This causes what's known as a mini-stroke. It can last from just a few minutes or, alternatively, persist up to 24 hours. TIAs should be treated urgently, as they're often a warning sign you're at risk of having a full stroke in the near future. Seek medical advice as soon as possible, even if your symptoms resolve. Certain conditions increase the risk of having a stroke, including: •HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE (HYPERTENSION) •HIGH CHOLESTEROL •ATRIAL FIBRILLATION •DIABETES 56

PREVENTING A STROKE

You can significantly reduce your risk of having a stroke through leading a healthy lifestyle by: •EATING A HEALTHY DIET •TAKING REGULAR EXERCISE •FOLLOWING THE RECOMMENDED GUIDELINES •ON ALCOHOL INTAKE (NOT DRINKING MORE THAN 14 UNITS A WEEK) •NOT SMOKING If you have a condition that increases your risk of a stroke, it's important to manage it effectively, such as by lowering high blood pressure or cholesterol levels with medication, for example. If you have had a stroke or TIA in the past, these measures are particularly important because your r isk of having another stroke is greatly increased.

TREATING A STROKE

Treatment depends on the type of stroke you have, including which part of the brain was affected and what caused it. Strokes are usually treated with medication. This includes medicines to prevent and dissolve blood clots, reduce blood pressure and reduce cholesterol levels. In some cases, procedures may be required to remove blood clots. Surgery may also be required to treat brain swelling and reduce the risk of further bleeding in cases of haemorrhagic strokes.

Russian RouletteAnyone? AN AFRICAN LEADER MAKES AN OFFICIAL TRIP TO RUSSIA. At the end of the trip, the Russian leader tells the African that in Russia they have a custom performed at farewells called "Russian Roulette" to demonstrate one's courage. The Russian whips out a revolver, loads one chamber, gives the cylinder spin, puts the gun to his head and pulls the trigger...CLICK...empty chamber. He hands the revolver to his African guest, and says, "Your turn."

?

Not to be outdone, the African repeats the ritual...CLICK...empty.

The next year, the Russian visits the African country. At the end of the trip, the African tells his Russian peer that he was very impressed with "Russian Roulette" and that he has spent the last year devising an African ritual to demonstrate one's courage. The African then disappears through a door only to reappear a few minutes later smiling, and says, "Your turn." The African escorts the Russian through the door. In the room are six of the most beautiful, naked women he has ever seen. The African explains that he is to choose one of the women, who will perform oral act on him. Absolutely dumbfounded, the Russian asks, "What kind of test of courage is this?" "One of them is a cannibal"

Sicilian Meatballs Al Forno

•500g dried spaghetti •Extra virgin olive oil •150g raisins ARRABBIATA SAUCE •3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar •1 small red onion •2 cloves of garlic •500g lamb neck fillet •2 quality anchovy fillets •50g sun-dried tomatoes •1 fresh red chilli •½ a bunch of fresh flat-leaf parsley •1 small dried chilli •100g fresh breadcrumbs •2 x 400g tins of plum tomatoes •50g pine nuts •1 pinch of ground cinnamon •1 lemon •Red wine vinegar •1 teaspoon dried oregano • 1 teaspoon sugar •50g Parmesan cheese •½ a bunch of fresh basil • 120g buffalo mozzarella

Ingredients:

Method

1) Preheat the oven to 200ºC/400ºF/gas 6. 2) Soak the raisins in the balsamic vinegar for 5 minutes. 3) Mince the lamb in a food processor, then place into a large bowl. 4) Roughly chop and add the sun-dried tomatoes, then pick, finely chop and add most of the parsley leaves. 5) Add the breadcrumbs, pine nuts, lemon zest, soaked raisins and their juice, and oregano. Finely grate in half the Parmesan. Season, then mix together well. 6) With wet hands, roll and pat the mixture into 24 meatballs (the size of golf balls). 7) Heat a splash of olive oil in a pan over a high heat, then fry the meatballs for about 5 minutes, or until browned on all sides. Set aside. 8) For the arrabbiata sauce, peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Chop the anchovies, then deseed and finely chop the fresh chilli. 9) Heat a good lug of olive oil in a pan on a medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, anchovies and chopped chilli. Crumble in the dried chilli, and gently fry for a few minutes, until soft. 10) Add the plum tomatoes and cinnamon, breaking up the tomatoes with a spoon, then simmer for about 20 minutes, or until reduced, stirring every so often. 11) Pour in a splash of red wine vinegar, season well, add the sugar if you think it tastes too sharp, and tear in most of the basil leaves. 12) Spoon the sauce into an ovenproof dish (25cm x 30cm), then dot the meatballs on top. Tear over the mozzarella, sprinkle over the remaining basil leaves and finely grate the rest of the Parmesan on top. 13) Bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden and bubbling. 14) Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions, then drain and toss with some extra virgin olive oil and the rest of the parsley. 15) Serve the meatballs with the pasta – perfect with a nice crisp salad.

THE NEW YORK MOTORSHOW

The New York Motorshow took place last month and was one of the most exotic and exciting motor shows seen for years rather than the current trend for boxy electric SUVs… Porsche revealed the production version of the 911 Speedster as a final send-off for the 991-generation 911. It has a low-cut front windscreen and twin streamliners behind the cabin that have become emblematic of the Speedster range.

The World’s Most Expensive New Car – The Bugatti La Voiture Noire was displayed at the show, rumoured to have been sold for $19m this one off which draws inspiration from the 1936 Type 57 SC Atlantic and uses same eight-litre quad-turbo W16 as the Bugatti Chiron,

Mansory’s Rolls-Royce Cullinan “Billionaire” has been developed in partnership with German luxury label Billionaire. It comes in a two-tone shade, sports a modified front end with larger air intakes and new apron, and has a new line that runs across the length of the hood. In the cockpit, white leather that covers most visible surfaces. The ‘Mansory’ lettering has been embedded into the seats, the ‘Billionaire’ logo is embossed into the headrests and the door panels have a new pattern and it has crocodile leather on the sides of the front seats and on the front and rear armrests.

We hope this electric SUV concept - The Genesis Mint makes it into production looking anywhere near as cool as the concept, Genesis says that if this 200-mile range electric city does come to be, it would arrive before 2023.

The McLaren Speedtail, the long-awaited successor to the company’s F1 supercar from the nineties designed to give them a top-end rival to the likes of the Bugatti Chiron and is being billed by McLaren as a ‘hyper-GT’. Its standout feature lives up to that billing (and brings lineage from the F1) because the car is a threeseater with the driver is positioned centrally, with two passengers behind and at either side.

Capricorn, Uranus, the Sun and Mercury are in your sign this month expect a very intense time, which is sprinkled with unexpected events. The New Moon of May 5th, 2019, makes your creative juices shine through but these same feeling may make you very jealous and possessive on the love front. Expect some turbulence at work during the first part of the month. During the second half of the month things settle down; situations become clearer. If you’re looking for a job, between May 17th and 19th, 2019, you could receive an unexpected offer it’s a good income and you’ll feel like you’re making progress. You have a touch of the can’t be bothered’s this month and you are more oriented towards only doing what you like. It’s a great idea to spend more time outdoors being physically active. Make the most of the astrological transits of May 2019 in order to get back in shape, if you’ve been slacking off until now! Aquarius, The Sun through your sign until May 21st, so during the first half of the month you tend to be looking toward the past for love. If you’re single, you’re not likely to be in the mood for romantic games. Towards the end of the month you could meet someone particularly attractive during some family reunion. The planetary transits of May 2019 favour family life and committing to personal matters that relate to home, not professional progress. You might need to reconnect with yourself in order to overcome countless obstacles and limitations from within; most of them will be self-imposed. During the last days of the month don’t fall prey to the temptation to take loans or get into get-rich-quick schemes, because they might be more than deceiving! You might want to resume practicing an older hobby or take up a new one. It’s a great time to get outdoors and feel the sun on your skin. Pisces, when it comes to your love life, this month the emphasis is on communication. You can clear up any misunderstandings quickly if you talk them through. Listen carefully to what your other half is saying. Be open to learning new things; don’t just judge people! Professionally, you deal with delays and uncertainties – you feel like you don’t have a secure basis or steady income. Accumulating frustrations and an irritation don’t help at all. If you’re not happy with how you’re being paid, try to discover what you’d really like to do, what profession would make you feel more worthy regardless of the paycheck. You can make professional progress only if you try doing something new. If you want to exit a vicious circle, take risks and step outside of your comfort zone. If you have been feeling unwell worries scatter like clouds under the rays of the Sun and you breathe easy. Aries, Venus is in your sign until the 15th of May. This means that your relationships and marriage remain the focus of your attention. Your personal charm is spontaneous, and amorous with enthusiasm. Steer clear of mixing money with love. If you are single the expect a dilemma this is quickly solved through maybe by falling suddenly and irrevocably in love between May 17th and 19th. Professionally you can get a lot done in May 2019, even if some things related to your career are slower to move along or require more time to reach maturity and become profitable. The New Moon of May 5th, 2019, could find new ways of earning money or new solutions to (re)gain your material equilibrium. With Mars in Gemini until May 16th, 2019, you’re more agitated than usual, but you lack focus and patience. Direct your energy toward yourself: or other pursuits related to improving living conditions or family life.

Taurus, there’s a lot going this month and you tend to be more focused on yourself, maybe a change of image. If you’re single those who are interested in getting to know you better find it difficult to understand if you’re emotionally available or not. After May 16th, 2019, it’s a good time for heart-toheart discussions if you’re not in a relationship but are attracted to someone, suggests not hesitating too much and boldly confessing your interest and affection. Steer clear of final decisions during the first half of the month, but act confidently after May 15th. Seek ways to do things differently if you can, use new technologies or innovative working methods. Internet and promoting yourself online can prove to be very good allies. You’re very active during May 2019, eager to make changes and very receptive to opportunities coming your way. Don’t hesitate to stand out, by being louder than usual!

Gemini, you are insistent and even pushy this month Mars transits your sign until May 16th, 2019. You might not stand out to potential partners, and you might not always make the best impression. If you want to have better luck in love, wait for the second half of May 2019 when you’re in a more romantic, idealistic, emotional phase. Luckily, all things can be mended in your love life. During the first half of May 2019 you’re a bit too energetic, you risk harming some professional associations or profitable collaborations. Mars crosses into your sign on May 16th, 2019. You’re very able to fulfill your money-related goals, but you should avoid financial speculation and pointless risks. Don’t rush to spend your money; give yourself enough time to think things through! Maybe ask a friend for advice… Until May 16th, excitement and agitation are tough to avoid you should slow down when you can.

Cancer, on the one hand, you’re dreaming about romance and on the other, you’re dealing with complications that will demand your attention now. You may feel that you have to put in a huge amount of effort in order to keep the marriage afloat. It’s important to know when to focus on yourself and not allow your other half’s authority to overwhelm you. If you are looking for love you might be drawn to people with a lot of experience who could keep them safe and take on their responsibilities. But you might be making a big mistake. The New Moon of April 5th gives you the energy you need in order to begin a new career phase or a new direction in life. But things don’t move along as quickly as you might want them to. Try not to push it; take the time to plan things out. You could get ahead with volunteer work this may lead to unexpected professional opportunities.

Leo, during the first half of May 2019 you seem to be driven by your relationship going exactly where you want it to go; or maybe you’re thinking about making it official, if it’s been going on for a while. You tend to change their plans for the future suddenly because a former lover is trying to return into your life. You might experience a sudden and intense attraction that can ignite your imagination during the last part of the month. It’s most likely an office-romance with someone you’re working with. You’re in for a very good term as far as widening your social circle is concerned; you’ll contact or meet new business partners, smooth over ties to authorities if you need permits, partnerships with official institutions, funds, and so on. If after the 16th you feel exhausted or without energy, don’t push it! Give yourself longer intervals to rest!

Virgo, the basis of hopes and dreams should be the foundation on which to build your relationships. This month is all about achieving that. It’s a very good time for discussing with your partner about long-term plans, about each of your aspirations and clear solutions for achieving your goals. But don’t expect immediate results. The astrological energy of the second half of May 2019 supports romance. If you’re single, the second half of the month also favours you, provided you forget your critical nature. On May 21st the Sun and Mercury step into your sign and mark the beginning of a term during which success will be easier to achieve. Widen your professional horizons as much as possible. Some older issues may get you worked up, or you have exaggerated expectations related to your professional life. It’s good to be optimistic, but take one step at a time and set moderate expectations. Libra, the first half of May 2019 is marked by misunderstandings with love. The second half of the month is calmer. If you are single the second half of May 2019 is very good for enjoying lots of attention. The New Moon of May 5th and the Full Moon of May 19th, 2019, changes your monetary status and you’ll be making decisions that can affect your for the long-term. See what you’re spending money on keep in mind that although you have money in theory, it’s making it into your accounts with pretty significant delays, which might often be frustrating. Take time off for your family life and don’t get discouraged if during the first half of the month you don’t feel too supported in your pursuits. Make the most of the energy of the stars in order to slow down the rhythm of your day-to-day life, to clean up your lifestyle, your soul, but also your home or to get a start on a detox or weigh loss.

Scorpio, on May 5th, the New Moon in your sign this means that there will be opportunities to begin new relationships. Those already involved will receive a breath of fresh air into their interactions with your partners. The Venus-Uranus conjunction on May 17-19th, is very good for your long-term plans you might suddenly make or receive a marriage proposal. If you are single then an intense relationship with someone influential or someone you meet in a professional context can start all of a sudden. If you are preparing to make large investments or take a considerable loan redo the sums and re-evaluate your plans, it may leave you very vulnerable. You’re full of vitality this month, and the support you receive from others helps to have a very good state of mind. You’re inspired, creative, and in turn inspire those around you. Sagittarians, love life is strange, as they say this May 2019. The opposition between Mars and Jupiter, which is retrograde in your sign, marks the first half of the month. You’re other half is very adamant about the promises you recently made but haven’t fulfilled. Try not to lose your cool and explain that you need time before making decisions. In May 2019 you work hard, and sometimes you even feel exhausted or irritated. The planetary transits of this term favour efforts to make your work more efficient. Money is slower to come in, but you’re not without funds. Maybe you’ll often feel like you work too much and earn too little right now, but try to look at things in the long-term. The New Moon and Full Moon of the 5th and 10th May 2019. It’s a great time to find a balance between work and rest.

He was in ecstasy with a huge smile on his face as his wife moved forward, Then backwards, forward, Then backwards again... Back and forth... Back and forth... In and out... She could feel the sweat on her forehead, between her breasts and trickling down the small of her back. She was getting near to the end. Her heart was pounding... Her face was flushed... Then she moaned, softly at first, Then began to groan louder. Finally, totally exhausted, she let out an almighty scream and shouted, "Okay, Okay!!! I can’t park the car!!! You do it, you smug GIT!!!"

The Ravages of Time: Two very senior little ladies were discussing the ravages that time had wrought on their bodies. One said "My arthritis has got so bad I can hardly grip anything, my cataracts seem to get worse every day, I have gout in my right leg and can’t bend my knee and I can’t hear anything but thank God I can still drive.”

Dyslexic drunk I woke up this morning, got dressed and went to the kitchen where my wife was already making breakfast. I looked to see what she was cooking, and I saw one of my socks in the frying pan. "What are you doing?" I asked. "I'm doing exactly what you asked me to do last night when you came to bed, very drunk," she replied. I walked away thinking to myself, “that’s funny... I don't remember asking her to cook my sock.”

I THREW A BOOMERANG A FEW YEARS AGO... I NOW LIVE IN CONSTANT FEAR.

A priest and pastor from the local parishes are standing by the side of the road holding up a sign that reads, ‘The End is Near! Turn yourself around now before it's too late!’ They planned to hold up the sign to each passing car. “Leave us alone you religious nuts!” yelled the first driver as he sped by. From around the curve they heard screeching tires and a big splash. “Do you think,” said one clergy to the other, “we should just put up a sign that says 'Bridge Out' instead?”

And the Lord said unto John... “Come forth and you will receive eternal life.“ But john came fifth, and won a toaster.
