It’s quite amazing – I spent the whole of the first half of the year looking forward to summer and now all I keep saying is “it’s so hot” or “it’s too hot” - some people are never happy – And I ’m one of them! Still September is here now, and a slight drop in the temperature is more than welcome. I’ve got to say how much I enjoyed the Olympics, and didn’t Britain do well???? Now the Paralympics has started I really hope the success continues. For many, it’s back to work this month we will be heading to Torremolinos on the 2nd September for Tourist Day (Día del Turista) with street parades, traditional costumes, music and dancing. Regional Spanish cuisine is dished up for free and is generally a good day out! Be sure to check out this month’s competition, A meal for two at the fabulous Santiago del Calvario in Alaurin El Grande, they call it The Hidden Gem and they really are not kidding – It’s beautiful setting makes such a wonderful dining experience. And many congratulations to George Gilanders, who won the meal for two at Masala, we have since heard from George telling us how much he enjoyed the meal, so that was really nice to hear! Whatever you do, enjoy your September.

A W o m a n’ s W o r l d The true diffrences between Men & Women... Words... A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day... 30,000 to a man's 15,000. The wife replied, 'The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men... The husband then turned to his wife and asked, 'What?'
Creation... A man said to his wife one day, 'I don't know how you can be so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time. 'The wife responded, 'Allow me to explain. God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me; God made me stupid so I would beattracted to you! Who does what... A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning. The wife said, 'You should do it because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee. The husband said, 'You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee.' Wife replies, 'No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee. Husband replies, 'I can't believe that, show me.' So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says 'HEBREWS'.

HUge DAviD BeCkHAm stAtUe eReCteD in neW YoRk....
It’s not the first time that David Beckham has been immortalised with a larger-than-life statue. When he launched his range of underwear for H&M in London he was joined by impressive gold statues. Now New York is getting in on the act, erecting (snort!) a huge silver statue of the footie star. Becks has also issued some smoldering pictures of himself modeling the range. He looks seriously H.O.T. In other good news, it looks like we have years and years of Becks in his pants to enjoy as he’s said he want this undies to keep on selling for years to come, “I'm very happy that so far people seem to like it, and the first season was incredibly successful,” David has said. “The challenge is to keep it going and establish a brand that will last many years. That is my ambition.” Just keep posing in your pants and we’ll keep on buying them!
JAY Z's Annie to stARt sHooting next YeAR...
He famously sampled I'ts A Hard Knock Life in his song, um..Hard Knock Life, so it's kind of fitting that Jay Z is to remake the film, Annie. Screenwriter and actress Emma Thompson said: "I have been writing the script for nearly three years, it's exciting." She said she's also excitedly anticipating "having dinner with Jay Z", who will be doing the music for the film. This time round, though, there won't be a curly-haired ginger girl playing the lead role, but none other than Will Smith's daughter, the 11 year old actress and singer Willow Smith. The film will also take place in modern day New York. Emma told the BBC: "In the autumn, we get to go to LA to work with Willow and work on more of the script."Jay Z has already started working on the music. We will start shooting in the spring in New York."

Cheryl Cole has seCretly been dating new man tre holloway sinCe marCh last year!!
Cheryl Cole has been spotted on a series of dates with new boyfriend Tre Holloway, 27, but it turns out that Tre isn’t such a new boyfriend after all. Cheryl and backing dancer Tre have been seeing each other since March last year! Tre and Cheryl became friend when he danced with her during her performance of Promise This on The X Factor in October 2010. Then in March 2011, Tre updated his Facebook page to say ‘In a Relationship’ but soon hid his relationship status after his friends began asking questions about who his new girlfriend was. Since then, Tre – who is based in LA – and Cheryl have seen each other whenever they can, either when Cheryl is in LA working on her music or when Tre has worked as backing dancer for Chezza. Now, it looks like Cheryl is ready to go public with her (not-so) new man, having been seen out on three dates with him last week. “Earning Cheryl’s trust is no mean feat. “It’s a huge statement that Cheryl has now stepped out with Tre,” we’re told. “It shows that she’s really confident that she’s got something special with Tre, and that they’ll be seeing a lot more of each other. To be let into Cheryl’s circle, which is very tight, really means something.”

In unusually quick timing, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes's divorce has been made official. the proceedings began on 28 June, after she filed for divorce in New York, citing "irreconcilable differences". There has been many a rumour about why they really broke up - most of them mentioning Tom's Scientology brushing up badly against Katie's Catholic upbringing, but we might never know as the details of the divorce and the settlement are to be kept under wraps. It is believed that Katie is to get primary custody of their daughter, Suri, but Tom will still have visitation rights.

liver & cheese
Three handsome male dogs are walking down the street when they see a beautiful, enticing, female Poodle. The three male dogs fall all over themselves in an effort to be the one to reach her first, but end up arriving in front of her at the same time. The males are speechless before her beauty, slobbering on themselves and hoping for just a glance from her in return. Aware of her charms and her obvious effect on the three suitors, she decides to be kind and tells them, "The first one who can use the words 'liver' and 'cheese' together in an imaginative, intelligent sentence can go out with me." The sturdy, muscular black Lab speaks up quickly and says, "I love liver and cheese." "Oh, how childish," said the Poodle, "That shows no imagination or intelligence whatsoever." She turns to the tall, shiny Golden Retriever and says "How well can you do?" "Um. I HATE liver and cheese," blurts the Golden Retriever. "My, my," said the Poodle, "I guess it's hopeless. That's just as dumb as the Lab's sentence." She then turns to the last of the three dogs and says, "How about you, little guy?" The last of the three, tiny in stature but big in fame and finesse, is the Mexican, Legally Blonde star Chihuahua (he may dress in pink but he’s all dog‌). He gives her a smile, a sly wink, turns to the Golden Retriever and the Lab and says.... Liver alone. Cheese mine.

want it? you Can’t have it... Banned Foods: In July foie gras was be banned in California. It’s ban sparked a veritable feeding frenzy, with the price of foie gras doubling as Californians scramble for one last taste of the controversial delicacy. However, it’s not the only food to have fallen foul of the law.
Tomato Ketchup
When HJ Heinz created his first batch of ketchup in 1876 by boiling up tomatoes and adding vinegar and sugar, we're pretty sure he'd never have imagined that the resulting product would end up being banned in France. Admittedly, the ban only applies to schools, and children will still be allowed their ketchup fix once a week, but only with French fries. The ban was introduced to help preserve traditional French cuisine. "We have to ensure that children become familiar with French recipes so that they can hand them down to the following generations," declared Christophe Hebert, chairman of the National Association of Directors of Collective Restaurants.
Japanese Puffer Fish
Fugu a type of puffer fish at a Japanese restaurant."The Japanese puffer fish is one of the most famous dishes in Japanese cuisine," says Professor Charles Brennan, a professor in food chemistry and nutrition at New Zealand's Lincoln University. "Its notoriety comes from the poison tetrodotocin which is found in its liver, ovaries and skin." Both the sale and consumption of Japanese puffer fish, or Fugu, is banned in the EU, and the catching and selling of puffer fish was banned in Vietnam between 2002 and 2010 after a spate of fatal poisonings. Elsewhere, only licensed restaurants can serve the dish, and chefs must undertake a two or three year apprenticeship. It's not an easy skill to master either - the apprenticeships only have a 35 per cent success rate.

WANT IT? YOU CAN’T HAVE IT... Horse Meat
The consumption of horse meat was first banned in 732 when a then Europe-wide papal ban was introduced, while Iceland also introduced a separate ban in the year 1000. In more recent years, the slaughter of horses for meat was banned in the US for five years but Obama lifted this ban in November 2011. To this day the Italians and French have a particular fondness for horse meat. In order to meet the high demand in Italy, around 20,000 horses are imported from Eastern Europe every year, while France's love affair with horse meat goes back at least 100 years records show that in 1911, 62,000 horses were slaughtered for their meat.

Raw Milk
Yes, you read that correctly. Milk, the stuff that we pour over our cereal and add to our morning caffeine fix is banned in several places, including 22 American states and the whole of Canada. However, the ban only applies to the unpasteurised variety, and was introduced to protect consumers from bacteria found in raw milk. Critics argue that raw milk contains beneficial enzymes which are destroyed by the pasteurisation process, while also pointing out that higher standards relating to farm sanitation mean that it's high time this law was revoked.
Haggis
Haggis is banned in the US due to a law against the use of sheep’s lungs in food products. The ban has been a source of contention between the Scottish Rural Affairs Department and the US Department of Agriculture for over 22 years. Despite rumours in January 2010 that the ban was about to be lifted, haggis remains illegal in the USA, although Americans can satisfy their cravings with what’s known as American haggis, which lacks the one authentic ingredient – sheep’s lungs. But on the plus side, it probably comes with a double helping of fries.

knock, knock, knocking... Three men were standing in line to get into heaven one day. Apparently it had been a pretty busy day, though, so St. Peter had to tell the first one, "Heaven's getting pretty close to full today, and i've been asked to admit only people who have had particularly horrible deaths. So what's your story?" The first man replies: "Well, for a while i've suspected my wife has been cheating on me, so today i came home early to try to catch her red-handed. As i came into my 25th floor apartment, i could tell something was wrong, but all my searching around didn't reveal where this other guy could have been hiding. Finally, i went out to the balcony, and sure enough, there was this man hanging off the railing, 25 floors above ground! By now i was really mad, so i started beating on him and kicking him, but wouldn't you know it, he wouldn't fall off. So finally i went back into my apartment and got a hammer and starting hammering on his fingers. of course, he couldn't stand that for long, so he let go and fell-but even after 25 stories, he fell into the bushes, stunned but okay. i couldn't stand it anymore, so i ran into the kitchen, grabbed the fridge, and threw it over the edge where it landed on him, killing him instantly. But all the stress and anger got to me, and i had a heart attack and died there on the balcony." "That sounds like a pretty bad day to me," said Peter, and let the man in. The second man comes up and Peter explains to him about heaven being full, and again asks for his story. "it's been a very strange day. You see, i live on the 26th floor of my apartment building, and every morning i do my exercises out on my balcony. Well, this morning i must have slipped or something, because i fell over the edge. But i got lucky, and caught the railing of the balcony on the floor below me. i knew i couldn't hang on for very long, when suddenly this man burst out onto the balcony. i thought for sure i was saved, when he started beating on me and kicking me. i held on the best i could until he ran into the apartment and grabbed a hammer and started pounding on my hands. Finally i just let go, but again i got lucky and fell into the bushes below, stunned but all right. Just when i was thinking i was going to be okay, this refrigerator comes falling out of the sky and crushes me instantly, and now i'm here." once again, Peter had to concede that that sounded like a pretty horrible death. The third man came to the front of the line, and St. Peter asked for his story. "Picture this," says the third man, "i'm hiding naked inside a refrigerator.

THE GEOGRAPHY OF A WOMAN:
Between 18 and 20 a woman is like Africa: Half discovered, half wild, naturally beautiful with fertile deltas. Between 21 and 30 a woman is like America: Well developed and open to trade, especially for someone with cash. Between 31 and 35 she is like India: Very hot, relaxed and convinced of her own beauty. Between 36 and 40 a woman is like France: Gently ageing but still a warm and desirable place to visit. Between 41 and 50 she is like Yugoslavia: Lost the war, haunted by past mistakes and massive reconstruction is now necessary. Between 51 and 60, she is like Russia: Very wide and borders are unpatrolled. The frigid climate keeps people away. Between 61 and 70, a woman is like Mongolia, with a glorious and all conquering past but alas, no future. After 70, she becomes like Afghanistan. Everyone knows where it is, but no one wants to go there.
A Man’s World
FIVE RULES FOR MEN TO FOLLOW FOR A HAPPY LIFE: 1. It's important to have a woman, who helps at home, who cooks from time to time, cleans and has a job. 2. It's important to have a woman, who can make you laugh. 3. It's important to have a woman, who you can trust and who doesn’t lie to you. 4. It's important to have a woman, who is good in bed and who likes to be with you. 5. It's very, very important that these four women do not know each other.

D.I.Y DESPAIR... Rosie Hall buys a self-assembly, flat-pack, cupboard from her local Leroy Merlin store. Reaching home Rosie reads the instructions carefully, counts the pieces then assembles the cupboard in the bedroom. It looks really great and she is delighted. Now, Rosie lives near a railway line and as the train passes by the cupboard collapses. Undaunted by this misfortune she re-reads the instructions and reassembles the cupboard. Once more, another train passes and the whole cupboard collapses again. Rosie now frustrated and thinking that she must have done something “wrong” re-re-reads the instructions and re-re-assembles the cupboard. Shortly, a train passes and the whole cupboard collapses yet again for the 3rd time. Rosie is now fed up, cross and rather angry so she phones the customer ser vice department. She is told that this is quite impossible and that they’ ll send along a fitter to take a look. The fitter arrives and assembles the cupboard. Again, a train passes and the cupboard collapses. Completely baffled by this unexpected event, the fitter decides to reassemble the cupboard and sit inside it to see whether he can find out what causes the cupboard to collapse. At this point, Rosie’ s husband comes home, sees the cupboard and says, “Oh, that’ s a splendid looking cupboard,” and he opens it to look inside. The fitter, who had been wondering how to explain his position in Rosie’ s bedroom cupboard, blurts out, “You probably won’ t believe me, but I’ m standing here waiting for a train.”

Understanding Mental Health
We hope that people do not feel inhibited through fear of being stigmatised or judged, for we are all prone or at risk of developing a mental health problem. The Department of Health’s National Service Framework for Mental Health reports that five out of the ten leading causes of disability are psychiatric conditions and that a half of all women and a quarter of all men will be affected by depression at some point in their lives. The cause of most mental health problems are not biological (dementia, head injuries and brain tumours are the main exceptions) but have their roots in the everyday and are natural reactions to adversity. Often people with mental health problems are socially excluded finding it difficult to maintain social and family networks, access appropriate education and obtain and sustain employment. Mental health problems originate from a combination of the external and internal. The external generally being social factors and the internal being how we perceive and react to them. The key to overcoming mental illness lies with addressing both factors. The external factors include a wide range of harmful influences that are caused by social exclusion or are a cause of social exclusion. For example unemployed people are twice as likely to have depression as people in work, people who have been abused or been victims of domestic violence, and people with drug and alcohol problems all have higher rates of mental health problems. Work can also be a cause, the most common examples being depression, anxiety and alcohol misuse, as a result of stress, overload, monotony and pressure. People with physical illnesses also have higher rates of mental health problems. How a person perceives and reacts to external factors is individual to that person in the context of their whole life. This relates to the internal domain and is where people feel their world of experience. Mental health problems are above all emotional phenomena and emotions are a result of a combination of feelings, thoughts and beliefs relating to the self, a persons relationship with the world and their relationship with others. They determine how a person will perceive, be affected by and cope with external factors. A person is able to find the resilience to overcome issues concerning internal and external factors in an environment in which they feel safe and secure. This can be achieved by the reduction of any emotional or physical threats against the person or those they care about, by developing an understanding of what has happened and is happening in their lives, and by using the support networks available to help them on the road to recovery.

Health & Well Being POSTure FOr A HeAlTHy BACk WHAT iS GOOD POSTure? Posture is the position in which you hold your body upright against gravity while standing, sitting or lying down. Good posture involves training your body to stand, walk, sit and lie in positions where the least strain is placed on supporting muscles and ligaments during movement or weight-bearing activities.
Proper posture:
• keeps bones and joints in the correct alignment so that muscles are being used properly. • Helps decrease the abnormal wearing of joint surfaces that could result in arthritis. • Decreases the stress on the ligaments holding the joints of the spine together. • Prevents the spine from becoming fixed in abnormal positions. • Prevents fatigue because muscles are being used more efficiently, allowing the body to use less energy. • Prevents strain or overuse problems. • Prevents backache and muscular pain. • Contributes to a good appearance. HA,HA,HE,HE... Women on the bus: A woman gets on a bus with her baby. The driver says: 'Ugh, that's the ugliest baby I've ever seen!" The woman walks to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to the man next to her: "The driver just insulted me!" The man says: "You go up there and tell him off. Go on, I'll hold your monkey for you." The Zoo: I went to the zoo the other day. There was only a dog in it - it was a shihtzu. Doctor, Doctor: A man goes to the doctor and says: 'Doctor, there's a piece of lettuce sticking out of my bottom.' The doctor asks him to drop his trousers and examines him. The man asks: 'Is it serious, doctor?' and the doctor replies: 'I'm sorry to tell you, but this is just the tip of the iceberg.' LET THERE BE WRITE: When NASA started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ballpoint pens would not work at zero gravity. To combat the problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion developing a pen that wrote at zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to 300C. The Russians used a pencil.

Proverbly Wrong!?! A junior school teacher collected well-known proverbs. She gave each child in her class the first half of a proverb and had them come up with the rest. Their insight may surprise you. • It is better to be safe than... punch a high school student. • Don't put off till tomorrow what... you put on to go to bed. • Strike while the... bug is close. • If you lie down with dogs, you'll... stink in the morning. • It's always darkest before... Daylight Savings time. • Laugh and the whole world laughs with you, cry and... you have to blow your nose • Never underestimate the power of... termites. • You can lead a horse to water but ... how? • Don't bite the hand that... looks dirty. • No news is... impossible. • A miss is as good as a... Mr. • You can't teach an old dog new... mathmatics. • Love all, trust... me. • The pen is mightier than the... pigs. • An idle mind is... the best way to relax. • Where there's smoke there's... pollution. • Happy the bride who... gets all the presents. • A penny saved is... not much. • Two's company, three's... the Musketeers.

MONEY SAVING HINTS & TIPS Are you feeling the effects of the financial crisis, follow our top tips... 1. Don’t’ waste money on expensive ipods. Simply think of your favourite tune and hum it. If you want to “switch tracks”, simply think of another song you like and hum that instead. 2. Do not waste money on expensive paper shredders to avoid having your identity stolen. Simply place a few dog poo’s in the bin bags along with your old bank statements. 3. Don’t buy expensive ‘ribbed’ condoms, just buy an ordinary one and slip a handful of frozen peas inside it before you put it on. 4. Save money on expensive personalised car number plates by simply changing your name to match your existing plate. - Mr. KVL 741Y. 5. Smokers, save on matches and lighters, by simply lighting your next fag from the butt of your last one. 6. Old telephone directories make ideal personal address books, simply cross out the names and address of people you don’t know. 7. Save electricity by shortening the cables to all your household electric appliances.

MONEY SAVING HINTScontinued... & TIPS 8. Drivers, save money by putting much larger wheels on the back of your car. That way you will always be going downhill, thereby saving on fuel. 9. Save a fortune on laundry bills. Give your dirty shirts to Oxfam, they will wash and iron them and you can buy them back for fifty pence. 10. Old people, if you feel cold indoors this winter, simply pop outside for ten minutes without a coat, when you go back inside you will really feel the benefit. 11. Separate the two ply loo roll - Inexplicably, there are websites out there that offer up this tip to save a euro at the cost of dignity, pride and hundreds of hours of your time. And that's with us carefully avoiding the too-nasty-to-mention consequences of having your fingers tear through the whisper-thin paper! YUCK..... 12. Make Dog/Cat Hair Sweaters - With only minimal shame and an excessive amount of effort, you can buy a book that will show you how to spin your dog or cat's fur into yarn which you can then knit into sweaters, purses, thongs or whatever hideous thing you choose.

WHY ETHEL CHANGED MOTEL Why Ethel Changed Motels! Last week, Ethel checked into a motel on her 60th birthday and she was a bit lonely. She thought, "I'll call one of those men you see advertised in phone books for escorts and sensual massages." She looked through the phone book, found a full page ad for a guy calling himself Tender Tony - a very handsome man with assorted physical skills flexing in the photo. He had all the right muscles in all the right places, thick wavy hair, long powerful legs, dazzling smile, six pack abs and she felt quite certain she could bounce a sixpence off his well oiled buns.... She figured, what the heck, nobody will ever know. I'll give him a call. "Good evening, ma'am, how may I help you? . . Oh my, he sounded sooo sexy! Afraid she would lose her nerve if she hesitated, she rushed right in, I hear you give a great massage. I'd like you to come to my motel room and give me one. No, wait, I should be straight with you. I'm in town all alone and what I really want is sex. I want it hot, and I want it now. Bring implements, toys, rubber, leather, whips, everything you've got in your bag of tricks. We'll go hot and heavy all night - tie me up, cover me in chocolate syrup and whipped cream, anything and everything, I' m ready!! Now how does that sound?" He said, "That sounds absolutely fantastic, but you need to press 9 for an outside line."

HA,HA,HE,HE... The Vet: A man goes to the vet about his dog's fleas. The vet says: 'I'm sorry, I'll have to put this dog down.' The man is incredulous and asks why. The vet says: 'Because he's far too heavy.' ANGRY WIFE: A man left for work one Friday afternoon. Instead of going home, he stayed out the entire weekend hunting with the boys and spending all his wages. When he finally got home on Sunday night, he was confronted by his very angry wife. After two hours, she stopped nagging and said: 'How would you like it if you didn't see me for two or three days?' He replied: 'That would be fine with me.' Monday went by and he didn't see his wife. Tuesday and Wednesday came and went with the same results. Thursday, the swelling went down just enough for him to see her a little out of the corner of his left eye. Happy Anniversary: Wife: Darling today is our anniversary, what should we do? Husband: Let us stand in silence for 2 minutes. Doctor, Doctor: "Doc, I can't stop singing The Green, Green Grass of Home. He said: 'That sounds like Tom Jones syndrome.' 'Is it common?' I asked. 'It's not unusual' he replied.

STICK UM UP.... A man walked into the downtown Bank of America and on the back of a deposit slip wrote, "this iz a stikkup. Put all your muny in this bag." While standing in line, waiting to give his note to the teller, the man began to worry that someone may have seen him write the note and might call the police before he could reach the teller. So, the criminal left the Bank of America and walked across to the street to Wells Fargo. After waiting in line for several minutes there, he handed his note to a teller. After reading it, the teller determined that this robber was perhaps a few sandwiches short of a picnic. She told him that because his note was written on a Bank of America deposit slip, she could not honor his demand. He would either have to fill out a Wells Fargo withdrawal slip or go back to the Bank of America. Feeling defeated, the man said he understood and left. The Wells Fargo teller promptly called the police, who arrested the man a few minutes later - still waiting in line at the Bank of America.

A man walked into a 7-11, put a $20 bill on the counter and asked for change. When the assistant opened the cash drawer, the man pulled a gun and asked for all the cash in the register, which the assistant promptly provided. The man took the cash from the assistant and fled - leaving the $20 bill on the counter. The total amount of cash he got from the drawer? Fifteen dollars.

Strange but true... 'Who's Your DaDDY?' Van offers Dna TesTs... Men Who WanT a paTerniTY TesT no longer haVe To go To a clinic if TheY WanT To finD ouT if a chilD is Theirs. a 'Who's Your Daddy' van is travelling around new York city, offering men the chance to find out whether they are the father of a child. The owner and operator of the vehicle, Jared rosenthal, is selling Dna tests, mostly to those who suspect youngsters may not actually be theirs. costing around ÂŁ200-ÂŁ300, men just have to give a cheek swab. Then there is a laboratory analysis and the paternity results are available in a couple of days. Mr rosenthal told cBs news: "They flag us down, they pull us over, they talk to us. "sometimes, because of the nature of the services, they want to be a little more discreet about it, but they do come or they'll call the number." Mr rosenthal said he deals with all kinds of strange situations in his line of work. "We have people that want to get the specimen from their spouse without them knowing about it. We deal with a lot of drama. it's constant drama," he said. one unidentified man, who was asked why he was taking the Dna test from the travelling truck, said: "i'm paying child support anyways and i would do it anyways. You just want to know." Mr rosenthal went on: "There's a lot of difficult situations and tough moments and heartbreak," adding there are happy endings as well. "There's a lot of good news that we're able to deliver and there's a lot of happy moments." for example, the test helped a 44-year-old harlem man find his long-lost 20-year-old daughter. Mr rosenthal maintained that his credentials are legitimate and that his business is legal. he believes he is providing an essential service. Who needs Jeremy Kyle!

A look at what's in store for you during September.....
Capricorn
Aquarius
Pisces
Aries
Taurus
Gemini 68
Capricorn you should already be feeling the energy from Mars as we speak! This continues up until Sept 9th it will bring initiative and passion that can be channeled into relationships and your home and family life, thanks to the August 31st Blue Moon. Confidence and attractiveness from Mars, plus a feeling of emotional balance and harmony from the Moon means that this is the ideal time to make great progress in all areas you’ll have extra support from family and friends, and there should be a lot less resistance to your plans and goals. Mercury also makes a very positive appearance from Sept 1st to 6th giving you clear thinking and sharp communication skills. Time to ask for a raise, debate, convince, or apply for a job. You can speak forcefully and directly without upsetting others. The peak for this powerful self-projection is on Wednesday the 5th of Sept because of Mercury and Mars in the sky. Aquarius you'll be the most fortunate creature of the zodiac in September 2012! Venus and Jupiter will make it a wonderful month to start a new relationship, to refresh an existing one or to give another try to a past love that you still long for. You'll be thirsty for love and you'll also have the opportunity to go for it. As for work September brings change expect a dynamic month from the professional perspective, scattered with ambition, challenges, fights and brave initiatives. You'll feel the need to measure your strength, to show what you're capable of. Your wish to stand out might not be exactly comfortable to your superiors or authorities, so you'd better keep some limits of discipline and diplomacy if you don't want to confront them. Assess the impact of your actions on your image and reputation! Pisces, relationships are key in September your house of couples acquires strength and glow under the Sunrays, keeping things under control and making sure that everything turns out well this month. September 2012 will be a good time in relationships to talk, explain, listen, understand, negotiate, and find ideas. You’ll like what you do at work this month there will be a pleasant environment, you get along well with colleagues, and the work is well paid. September will definitely be a month of collaboration though. You'll have the capacity to motivate, convince and mobilize people for some shared objectives and almost everything you'll do will be together or in agreement with the colleges this month. Professional training will contribute to improving your financial situation.
Aries, If you've had to cope with tension and unfavorable circumstances, things will start to unwind in September. Saturn will still breathe down your neck, but after more than three years, Saturn's interference with relationships has become something boarding on ordinary for you: obstacles, limits, and difficulties will now start to alleviate themselves. Venus, Leo, and Aries all come together and will open the door to flirts, adventure, and passion. The first part of September 2012 will be appropriate to solving some health problems and to focusing on the physical shape, hygiene, beauty care: you'll have access to good doctors, efficient treatments, useful information. It'll be a good period for diets and therapies. The second part of September 2012 will be particularly interesting: it'll bring solutions, dialogue, clarification, fulfillment, maybe even a new acquaintance significant to your love life. Taurus love and relationships are, hot, hot, hot in September! Even if it's autumn, you'll have burning feelings. Sept 2012 will bring strong emotions and overwhelming desires - and you'll also have the courage to do what you think it's necessary to get what you want. Your tendency to reserve, shyness, fear and embarrassment will vanish - watch out world! You won't wait for the other one to seduce you, but you'll take the first step without hesitation and you'll start the conquering campaign boldly. Work pressure and overload will cut you some slack this month and troubles related to tasks or work conditions will diminish. In the first half of the month, try to avoid excessive expenses, speculation and everything that could involve financial risk. Jupiter in your house of money promises prosperity especially in the second part of Sept 2012. Gemini, Venus and Leo will make Sept 2012 your favourite month this year love is strongly connected to communication, trips and information. You could have the opportunity to find the right words, receive nice messages and love declarations, to meet somebody interesting or to take a trip. The sentimental climate will become more intense in the second part of Sept 2012 when Mercury enters your house of love brings with it flirts, affairs, adventure, new experiences. Effort, pressure, challenges, decisions, initiative and efficiency: these will be the main focuses at work this month. You could even happen to be at the right place at the right time for some exciting news related to work, maybe a promotion. Financially, you'll earn as much as you need, maybe even something extra.

Venus will be capable of increasing your ability to cooperate within a group or partnership, bringing you success with team work, associations and contacts with clients or colleagues. Avoid discussions with parents and don't rush to domestic decisions this month! Virgo you are getting all the action in September because of the August 31st Blue Full Moon falling around your birthday. This Moon puts a strong emphasis on your close personal relationships for two weeks, up until September 15th. You are likely to feel a lot more sensitive and emotional during this time. Mars is bringing passion and strong desires from September 9th it will energize all relationships, bringing a big boom to your love life. This energy doesn’t only relate to sexual relationships, but all other relationships, even professional, your positive energy will make you more attractive and popular. Your extra initiative and leadership ability should win favours from superiors and improve team spirit. This is your time to take centre stage and enjoy being yourself. In the bigger scheme of things you can now start projects in those Jupiter areas of personal growth, wealth creation, travel or study. Libra you’ll have something going on all month with three transits one after another, climaxing at the end with a most intense full moon. The first influence comes from a beneficial Venus between September 6th to 16th this is a fabulous time for socialising, love and money. The optimum day for all this is on September 13th. Uranus is in your sign this year, which has meant a lot of tension and forced changes in your life. However Venus will now soften this affect and can lead to pleasant surprises and bit of excitement without the recent upsets. Next up is Mercury passing through your skies from September 17th to 23rd bringing a full on week with lots of personal interaction and communication. Your mind will be running at a 100 miles an hour which may be unsettling or just frankly frazzling, you may find it hard to stay focused. Scorpio expect an excellent start to September with a number of different factors combining to give you tremendous strength and power to succeed. The August 31st Full moon means that in the first half of September you should feel balanced and confident, and enjoy good relationships and a supporting home and family life. Mars is in your sign up until September 9th this is going to give a great energy boost making you strong, attractive and brave. Now is the time to take the lead and push ahead with confidence, go for what you really want, chase something or someone you are passionate about. Mercury in your skies from September 1st to 6th adds clear thinking and positive communications. You should know exactly what you want and can talk about it in a direct yet friendly manner earning you favours and respect. Sagittarius you start this month with some tension because the August 31st Blue Moon is directly in your sign. The added tension is most likely to come in the form of relationship difficulties with family or partners. Mercury in your sign from September 1st to 6th means that this first week is the most problematic as this Mercury transit increases nervous tension and can make it more difficult to fully understand relationships dynamics, it may reduces your ability to express yourself clearly compromise is needed at this time. Things improve quickly and the rest of this month is really fortunate, starting with the harmonious Venus making an appearance in your sign between Sept 6th and 16th. This will ease any tension and make you feel more sociable, others will seem friendlier towards you. Sept 23rd to Oct3rd many changes are happening making for a wonderful time with many positive changes and more excitement in life.

With the recession still unfortunately in full swing, it seems crazy to have a property sitting empty, costing you money each month when it could be earning you an income or at very least covering it’s costs. Unfortunately mortgage rates have increased over the last few years with many ‘low start, fixed rate’ deals that were offered five years ago, now coming to an end. This means that there are many property owners who are left struggling to pay large mortgage payments, with the banks often not willing to or able to offer any solutions or help The simple solution is to rent the property on a long term basis. Renting your property is easier than you think and although perhaps you may have heard of a bad experience from a friend of a friend of a friend, these cases are actually very rare. If you are careful and use an experienced rental agent, it is possible to rent your property, hassle free. Although it is true that rental prices have decreased slightly over the past few years, depending on your monthly mortgage payments it is still possible to cover the costs of your property and in some cases make a small profit. Benefits to renting your property long term: •Regular monthly income to pay, or a least help, cover your mortgage costs and community fees. •Tenants pay themselves for water and electric consumption, (so no large monthly or quarterly bills for you when the air conditioning has been left on for 24 hours a day) •Low maintenance - Unlike holiday rentals (that can be sparodic at best), there is no need for cleaners, changeovers and ‘meet and greets’ You can also rent your property completely unfurnished. •References always obtained and security deposits taken (held by yourselves) against damage or breakages. •Mangement of your property is also available, so if you wish you do not even need to have any direct dealings with the tentants yourselves. If you would like to know more about renting your property on a long term basis please contact Costa Rents on 671 093 925 or visit our website www.costarents.com

F I N A N C I A L Economic & Currency News... What a time to win a gold! At present it seems no currency can safely say they are in a gold medal position and like a decathalon each currency takes a leading position only to fall back into the pack as bad news follows good and is not allowing any currency to take a lead position and stay there. The last couple of weeks has seen the again “so called end of the euro” with Greece on the fringe of leaving, Spain needing a bailout and Finland not agreeing to support any funding to Spain and of course lack of any real unity from the eurozone leaders. Here cometh The European Central Bank charging to take control with Mr Draghi saying the euro project is irreversible as too much time has been spent on the project . The implication here of course was that The ECB would find some way of supporting governments either by buying bonds(keeping yields down) or maybe looking to increase bailout packages however as in the past no real activity was undertaken and the euro started a rollercoaster of a ride against the dollar and the pound. With consumer confidence also dipping and readings of PMI’s unchanged in July then the euro appeared to need some help. All eyes were focussed on the ECB monthly meeting for a possible interest rate reduction or a round of QE and neither happened, fortunately on a positive note we hear that the ECB did not buy any government bonds of late so it means that investors are still reasonably happy. News from the UK actually helped the euro as we saw the economy slip further into recession during Q2 and is around 5% lower than before the crisis started so all is not good back home. The latest manufacturing statistics also were poor showing a recovery is further away than hoped. Now it was the turn of The BOE and they also held interest rates and made no attempt at a further round of QE, preferring instead to wait until the government’s “ funding for lending scheme” has on the economy. Just to add to the gloom in the UK, house prices fell in July bringing the annual change to a minus 2.6%, add this to a lower than expected number of mortgage approvals and the market will probably taking sometime to recover. In the US, house prices increased for the 4th month in a row and with the latest set of figures showing the number of people going back to work, consumer confidence may just be on the up. No doubt there will be tough times ahead however markets do like confidence. Finally China it seems is managing to hold its own as we hear that the manufacturing sector improved in July and rose to its highest for 5 months so they will be keen to see a recovery in the eurozone for demand to continue to rise. origins AMG have recently announced that they are going to build an AMG 63 CLS Shooting brake (that’s estate car to us!) they are also about to release the new A Class AMG 45 ,and there are (as yet unconfirmed rumours of a SLS Black Series. All this is a long way from the two guys in an old mill that tuned Mercedes Cars for racing in the late 1960s. AMG is now a familiar badge but do you remember seeing any of these? The 300 Sel 6.3 was the first car to get AMG treatment in 1968. The plan was take an engine out of the massive Mercedes 600 and drop it into the much smaller S class, the result was a large car that with five people on board would outperform many sports cars including the Porsche 911 and had great success in motor racing. In 1978 AMG set out to build another race car, Mercedes were already rallying a 450 SLC but AMG built a car to circuit race. This hugely successful car beat Jaguars and Alpina-BMWs in the European touring cars and Really made AMG’s name! The 1986 HAMMER was the original E55 AMG, it had a 5.6 Litre engine and was good for 200 MPH with 0-60 MPH taking 4.9 Seconds, there was an even quicker 6.0 version At almost twice the price of a BMW M5 it was a genuine rival to a Ferrari Testarossa or Lamborghini Countach! The SL73 is as rare as hen’s teeth; they produced only 85 and were sold by AMG rather than Mercedes. It was one of the most powerful cars ever built by AMG and the engine is still in production and was used in the Pagani Zonda. The 6.9 Litre CLK GTR was built for homologation purposes in 1999 and just 35 were built, all in left hand drive apart from one – which was made for the Sultan of Brunei. 76

A man walks into a drugstore and asks the pharmacist for a pack of condoms. Paying for them, he bursts into laughter and walks out of the store. The next day he comes in again, again buys condoms, and again walks out laughing. Thinking this is somewhat strange, the pharmacist asks his assistant to follow the man if he comes back. Sure enough, the man comes in the next day and walks out laughing. This time the assistant goes after him, returning 20 minutes later. “So did you follow him?” asks the pharmacist. “Yup.” “Where did he go?”, “Your house.” A dyslexic man walks into a bra.
A young blonde woman fears her husband is having an affair, so she goes to a shop and buys a handgun. The next day she comes home to find her husband in bed with a beautiful redhead. She grabs the gun and holds it to her own head. The husband jumps out of bed, begging and pleading with her not to shoot herself. The hysterical blonde tells her husband: "Shut up ... you're next!" I stopped at a friend's house the other day and found him stalking around with a fly-swatter. When I asked if he was getting any flies, he answered: 'Yeah, three males and two females.' Curious, I asked how he could tell the difference. He said: 'Three were on a beer can and two were on the phone.'

A man tells his doctor, “Doc, help me. I’m addicted to Twitter!” The doctor replies, “Sorry, I don’t follow you … A woman has twins, and gives them up for adoption. One goes to a family in Egypt and is named "Amal". The other goes to a family in Spain, who name him "Juan". Years later Juan sends a picture of himself to his mother. Upon receiving the picture, she tells her husband that she wished she also had a picture of Amal. Her husband responds: "They're twins. If you've seen Juan, you've seen Amal." Two aerials get married. The ceremony was rubbish but the reception was brilliant.

RESTAURANTReview... The Playwright, Elviria Having just eaten at the playwright, I feel the need to tell everyone about it! It was the first time my husband and I had been there and it was truly amazing! The décor is beautiful and the staff were really friendly and outgoing. My Husband started with the Mussels cooked in coconut curry sauce which really were as good as they sounded and I had the Deep fried brie served with a mango, ginger and strawberry salad, this was an excellent combination a had so much flavour! The main courses came soon after, I had the tagliatelle with mushrooms cream and truffle oil, which was fantastic and my husband went for the rack of lamb, which was just perfect, the meat just melted in our mouths! And as our food came out, a couple on a nearby table were being served onion rings – which looked quite incredible, so were ordered some too, and really were not disappointed!! After this we were so full but the greed took over,so we decided that we had to sample the Baileys cheesecake, ordered one between us and it was just amazing. Our overall experience at The Playwright was absolutely superb, the food, the setting and the staff were all wonderful and I am sure that we will be regulars here, I am amazed that they can provide such high quality food for just 25€ for those getting there between 6 and 7.30. If you go there – and you really should, don’t forget the onion rings!!
