A Woman’s World

REASONS BEINg A STAY-AT-HOME MUM IS A THANKLESS TASK:

• Pay is far, far below minimum wage IF ALL ELSE FAILS... • Kiss adult conversations goodbye • Zero growth potential • Physically demanding • Rules of the game are always changing • Increased risk of substance abuse • Limits social opportunities • NO training program • Wardrobe options are limited • Workplace is always messy and often sticky • Drinking on the job is frowned upon • Most accomplishments go unnoticed • NO days off, NO holiday time and NO sick leave • NO awards, promotions or perks LOCK YOURSELF IN THE BATHROOM! • Very little opportunity for travel • Must be available to work early mornings & late nights • Tiny “employers” are often vocally critical of your work • Feedback from superiors generally limited to silent reproach and judging from afar • Your boss is unpredictable, irrational and prone to emotional outbursts BUT... YOU WON'T MISS THE MILESTONES & YOU’LL NEVER GET THOSE MOMENTS BACK!

WOOOOO HOOOOO NEW TV...

WHEN IS TOWIE BACK ON TV? The new series starts this month...

The show will be back with a mega 10th-anniversary series, returning to airing two episodes a week. And as part of the birthday celebrations, a number of familiar faces are expected to return to the cast. We can assume that the regular cast members including Diags, Chloe, Dan Edgar, Amber Turner and Pete Wicks will all return. It’s unlikely that there’ll be any huge departures as TOWIE viewers are just getting used to the new cast as a load of newbies were introduced in series 23.

SUPERMARKET SWEEP RETURNING... Time to go wild in the aisles again with a celeb packed edition ...The show has been given a brand new daytime slot on ITV plus Rylan Clark-Neal returning for a normal series before the celeb edition airs later in the year. There are loads of famous faces signed up for the show including former Queens of the Jungle Scarlett Moffatt and Jacqueline Jossa, who will be joining forces to go wild in the aisles. They'll take on the likes of Gavin & Stacey duo Melanie Walters & Joanna Page. WHOOP NEW TV! GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF 2020... Is on its way to TV as filming wrapped last month despite the ongoing lockdown restrictions. This year's series was due to begin filming in April with new co-host Matt Lucas joining Noel Fielding and judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood in the Bake Off tent. Production started in July under strict rules and concluded last month. It's expected the series will be able to air on Channel 4 later in the year.

WOOOOO HOOOOO NEW TV...

I'M A CELEB MASSIVE U TURN... In a huge change to this year's

series. There’s going to be some major changes on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… The show hosted by Ant and Dec will take place in the UK for the first time. Instead of setting up camp in the Australian jungle like they usually do, this year’s celebs will live in a “remote, rural castle” which is believed to be Gwrych Castle in North Wales. That’s not it either, as there have been rumours that bosses may have to scrap the show’s iconic Bushtucker trials, which often feature creatures and creepy crawlies, due to British animal welfare laws. WALES, NO BUSH TUCKER... Well have to wait and see!

CHECK OUT NETFLICKS... If you haven’t watched Selling Sunset yet, what are you waiting for? It premiered last year, on Netflicks, the show follows the lives of a group of glamazon property agents working at luxury broker firm The Oppenheim Group as they bitch, barter and make big bucks around the Hollywood Hills. Fancy a $44m mansion, with a 12-car garage, a home cinema and a TV screen that comes up from the pool? Look no further...

THE MASKED SINGER RETURNS... It’s one of the biggest shows of

the year. I’m A Celeb’s Joel Dommett will return to host the show alongside Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross, the panel of celebrity super sleuths who try to work out who is behind the mask. BAFTA award-winning comedian Mo Gilligan, who recently starred on Celebrity Gogglebox, is set to join the show as a fourth panellist coming to ITV for a second series soon.

404 ERROR...

As you get a little older sometimes you have a little trouble with your computer skills...

Yesterday, I had a problem, so I called Georgie, the 11 year old next door, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, and asked him to come over...

Georgie clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem. As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong?' He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.' I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless had to inquire, 'An ID ten T error? What's that in case I need to fix it again?' Georgie grinned. 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?' 'No,' I replied. 'Write it down,' he said, 'I think you'll figure it out.' So I wrote down:

ID10T

I used to like Georgie, the little bugger!

MORE THAN WORDS... "Dreamt" is the only English word that ends in the letters "mt". TYPEWRITER is the longest word that can be made using the letters only on one row of the keyboard.

"Stewardesses" is the longest word that is typed with only the left hand. The combination "ough" can be pronounced in nine different ways. The following sentence contains them all: "A rough-coated, dough-faced, thoughtful ploughman strode through the streets of Scarborough; after falling into a slough, he coughed and hiccoughed." The only 15 letter word that can be spelled without repeating a letter is uncopyrightable.

Facetious and abstemious contain all the vowels in the correct order, as does arsenious, meaning "containing arsenic."

There is a seven letter word in the English language that contains ten words without rearranging any of its letters, "therein": the, there, he, in, rein, her, here, ere,

A MAGIC menagerie

A man walks into a bar and asks the bartender... "If I show you a really good trick, will you give me a free drink?" The bartender considers it, and then agrees. The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a tiny rat. He reaches into his other pocket and pulls out a tiny piano. The rat stretches, cracks his knuckles, and proceeds to play the blues.

After the man finished his drink, he asked the bartender, "If I show you an even better trick, will you give me free drinks for the rest of the evening?" The bartender agrees, thinking that no trick could possibly be better than the first. The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a tiny rat. He reaches into his other pocket and pulls out a tiny piano. The rat stretches, cracks his knuckles, and proceeds to play the blues. The man reaches into another pocket and pulls out a small bullfrog, who begins to sing along with the rat's music. While the man is enjoying his beverages, a stranger confronts him and offers him €100,000.00 for the bullfrog. "Sorry," the man replies, "he's not for sale." The stranger increases the offer to €250,000.00 cash up front. "No," he insists, "he's not for sale." The stranger again increases the offer, this time to €500,000.00 "Get m cash. The man finally agrees, and turns the frog over to the e, I’m a Jazz stranger in exchange for the money. playin g rat!" "Are you insane?" the bartender demanded. "That frog could have been worth millions to you, and you let him go for a mere €500,000!" "Don't worry about it." the man answered. "The frog was really nothing special. You see, the rat's a ventriloquist."

EMERGENCY SERVICES

Our Emergency services have been HEROS this year but with it being Emergency Services Day this month on the 9th we thought we’d take a look at some of the idiots wasting their time….

1) First “nil poi” goes to a lady who couldn’t swim she walked straight off the end of St Kilds’s pier in Melbourne, Australia and need a swift rescue… THE PROBLEM? She was too busy checking her phone. And if you were wondering, yes, she did manage to hold on to it throughout the rescue!

2) A number of allers in the UK who have missed their alarm and were going to be late for a flight wanting officers to take them to the airport called 999! 3) A gentleman in Leeds, UK dialled 999 at 4am on a Saturday morning and asked: "Where is the best place to get a bacon sandwich right now?" 4) A lady in Las Vegas, Nevada dialled 911 to say there were men in “her” hotel room trying to take her away. The men in question were police officers who had come to arrest her for prostitution as she was “walking” the corridors. 5) A woman in London, UK, dialled 999 because she had seen a clown selling balloons for £5 each, Which was much more than other clowns were charging.

EMERGENCY SERVICES

6) Last Christmas in North Wales police said they had received an emergency call from someone asking where to buy brussels sprouts. 7) In the UK... A woman was prosecuted after making hundreds of hoax 999 calls over two weeks because she was “bored”. 8) A quick search on YouTube will reveal how regularly adults get stuck in children’s swings and require firefighters to cut them free.

9) In the West Midlands... Caller: “I’m calling because my laptop is closed and I need the password.”Police: “You’ve called the police to get a password for your laptop?”

10) In the UK... A man phoned 999 because he’d rain out of painkillers, saying: “I’m having a really bad toothache right now. “I don’t have any painkillers with me.” 11) In Spain on his holidays... A confused driver rang the police simply to ask: “Do you know is it illegal to drive with flip-flops on?” 12) In Devon... A man phoned 999 to report that sheep were going to ‘eat his kids’. The responder said: “Why would sheep eat your kids?” To which he responded: “I was making cottage pie earlier, the sheep must have smelt it.” 12) On a Friday night... A member of the public, who’d had a little bit too much to drink, phoned an ambulance for a case of the hiccups.

Sara Pipalini... Three old Italian spinsters die and go to heaven. At the Pearly Gates, they are met by St. Peter... He says "Ladies, you all led such wonderful lives that I'm granting you six months to go back to earth and be anyone you want to be.” The first spinster says, "I want to be Sophia Loren;" and *poof* she's gone. The second says, "I want to be Madonna;" and *poof* she's gone. The third says, "I want to be Sara Pipalini." St. Peter looks perplexed. "Who?" he says. "Sara Pipalini" replies the old spinster. St. Peter shakes his head and says; "I'm sorry, but that name just doesn't ring a bell." The old gal then takes a newspaper out of her purse and hands it to St. Peter. He reads the paper and starts laughing. He hands it back to her and says "No, my dear woman, the paper says it was the 'Sahara Pipeline' that was laid by 1,400 men in 6 months."

A Man’s World

WIFE CONTROL... Three mates are down the pub. Bill and

Joe are arguing about the amount of control they have over their wives, while the third bloke, Fred, says nothing. After a while, Bill turns to Fred and says, "Well, what about you? What sort of control have you got?" "I'll tell you," Fred replies. "Just the other night my missus came crawling to me on her hands and knees." The other two were absolutely amazed. "What happened then?", Joe asked. "She said, 'Get out from under the bed and fight like a man!!!".

Two Men in a LifeBoat...

Two men were adrift in a lifeboat following a dramatic escape from a burning freight vessel. While rummaging through the boat's provisions, one of the men stumbled across an old lamp. Secretly hoping that a Genie would appear, he rubbed the lamp vigorously. To the amazement of the castaways, one did come forth. This particular Genie, however, stated that he could only deliver one wish, not the standard three. Without giving much thought to the matter the man blurted out, "Make the entire ocean into beer!" Immediately the Genie clapped his hands with a deafening crash, and the entire sea turned into the finest brew ever sampled by mortals. Simultaneously, the Genie vanished to his freedom. Only the gentle lapping of beer on the hull broke the stillness as the two men considered their circumstances. The other man looked disgustedly at the one whose wish had been granted. After a long, tension-filled moment, he spoke: "Nice going! Now we're going to have to pee in the boat."

MEDICAL MAYHEM

GOING TO THE PHARMACY... The owner of a pharmacy walks in to find a guy leaning heavily against a wall with an odd look on his face. The owner asks the clerk, "What's with that guy over there by the wall?" The clerk says, "Well, he came in here at 7 A.M. to get something for his cough. I couldn't find the cough syrup, so I gave him an entire bottle of laxatives." The owner says, "You idiot! You can't treat a cough with laxatives!" The clerk says, "Oh yeah? Look at him-he's afraid to cough!"

DOES IT HURT... A woman goes to her doctor who verifies that she is pregnant. This is her first pregnancy. The doctor asks her if she has any questions. She replies, "Well, I'm a little worried about the pain. How much will childbirth hurt?" The doctor answered, "Well, that varies from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy and besides, it's difficult to describe pain." "I know, but can't you give me some idea?," she asks. "Grab your upper lip and pull it out a little..." "Like this?" "A little more..." "Like this?" "No. A little more..." "Like this?" "Yes. Does that hurt?" "A little bit." "Now stretch it over your head!" AT THE PHARMACY AGAIN... A distraught senior citizen phoned her doctor's office.

'Is it true,' she wanted to know, 'that the medication you prescribed has to be taken for the rest of my life?' 'Yes, I'm afraid so,' the doctor told her. There was a moment of silence before the senior lady replied, 'I'm wondering, then, just how serious is my condition because this prescription is marked 'NO REFILLS'.'

THE LIFE CYCLE OF A HABIT

HOW TO BREAK THE LIFE CYCLE OF A BAD HABIT

We are all addicts - addicted to the habits and routines in our lives. We wake up at the same time, have our normal morning routine (shower, breakfast, brushing teeth), then head off to work at the same time every weekday. Somewhere in this routine, we will feed our addictions. We may be addicted to substances such as sugar, nicotine, weed, drugs or coca cola, ice or alcohol, or we may be addicted to behaviours such as watching pornography, sex, eating, gambling or checking our phone every 60 seconds. Even our thought patterns can become habits - the voice in our head becoming ‘addicted’ to negative thoughts and self-doubt as it tries to avoid us feeling like a failure.

ure or possibly even relief from emotional or physical pain which triggers the release of oxytocin, a powerful TRIGGERS and addictive hormone that reinforces how much we Every habit is kick started by a trigger. Triggers could enjoyed the routine. The problem with oxytocin is that the include emotional pain, boredom, stressors or anxiety, more we get the less effect it has on us over time. As a or external events that grab our attention such as smells, result, we may quickly end up in search of our next ‘hit’. sounds or interactions with people.

CRAVINGS

Triggers often lead to cravings, which may get stuck in our heads once activated - such as a need for chocolate. However, cravings may not be about the substance or activity itself, such as nicotine, weed or sex, but the resulting feelings of calm, pleasure or even relief from emotional pain.

ROUTINES

To satisfy these cravings we might respond with the relevant routine or automatic action we use in response to the trigger. Examples of routines include having a smoke, taking drugs, indulging in sex, turning into an emotional zombie or getting drunk.

REFLECTIONS

Following the reward, we often reflect on our feelings resulting from indulging in our routines. Depending on whether it’s a good or a bad habit our reflections may include savouring feelings of pleasure and relief or potentially feeling guilty and remorseful if our actions conflict with our values and beliefs. It’s the power of these reflections that will eventually become the catalyst for us to break our habits.

BREAKING BAD HABITS

The best way to break a bad habit is to replace one routine with a different one that avoids the undesirable consequences but still gives us the reward. In life, triggers will keep happening and our cravings will drive us to do our routines as our minds look for their rewards. REWARDS Our routines will become firmly embedded in our minds Routines are really the only part of habits that are within if we continually receive rewards from them. THEY INCLUDE FEELING SEVERAL OF THE FOLLOWING FOR AT LEAST 2 WEEKS

• Feeling sad, anxious, or empty • Feeling hopeless or pessimistic • Feeling guilty, worthless, or helpless • Not enjoying things you used to enjoy • Trouble with concentration, • Remembering things or making decisions • Sleeping too much or too little • Appetite changes • Gaining or losing weight • Feeling restless or irritable • Thoughts of suicide or death You might not have all of these. Doctors call it "major depression" if you have at least 5 of these symptoms for at least 2 weeks. People with major depression might also have other physical symptoms, such as pain or other illnesses that get worse, stomachaches, headaches, or digestive problems.

IN CHILDREN AND TEENS, THE SYMPTOMS MAY INCLUDE:

• Insomnia or fatigue • Headache, stomachache, dizziness • Apathy or social withdrawal • Unintended weight loss • Drug abuse or alcohol abuse, • A drop in school performance, • Trouble concentrating • Isolation from family and friends

50

DEPRESSION:

DO YOU KNOW THE SYMPTOMS?

With the Global Pandemic of Covid-19 there has also been a massive increase in Depression. Depression can affect both adults and children but do you know what the symptoms are?

Depression can range from mild to severe. Doctors used to call the milder forms “dysthymia” if it lasted for at least 2 years in adults (1 year in children and teens). Now, it’s called "persistent depressive disorder." Everyone feels sad or blue now and then. Those are normal emotions. Depression is different. If it lasts more than 2 weeks and doesn’t lift, or if you start to notice other physical symptoms such as changes in sleep, appetite, or energy, seek help. You could start with your regular doctor or a mental health professional.

CALL YOUR DOCTOR IF:

•You or a loved one has suicidal thoughts. •You think you or a loved one is depressed. There are effective treatments. It’s also wise to check in with your doctor if you are considering alternative or complementary treatments for depression. Your doctor can help you weigh the risks, benefits, and what’s best for you.

YOUR DNA...

UNLOCKING THE KEY TO IMPROVING OUR HEALTH AND MAINTAINING OUR IDEAL WEIGHT

DNA testing is the key to helping us achieve and maintain optimum health, while at the same time it is highlighting any predisposition we may want to address in order to achieve a sense of wellbeing. This in turn allows us to create a life style we may only have dreamed of. From the specific to the broad spectrum and everything in between, it is certainly an area where we can discover a treasure trove of information about our own bodies. DNA testing has worked for Olympians and other athletes, tapping into their personal strengths and vulnerabilities and helping them to train and eat accordingly. In a time when we are increasingly bombarded with conflicting and often bogus information on diet and exercise, is this a way forward... after all our DNA is an individual as we are so a personalised plan makes sense, doesn't it? Rising obesity rates have prompted yo-yo dieters to look for a solution as the impact obesity has on our health increases the risk of being diagnosed with cancer or a chronic long-term disease such as diabetes or heart disease. According to the latest research, the solution lies within our bodies; our genes (DNA). In fact, researchers at Stanford University recently found that matching dieters to a

52

What if DNA held the secrets to your health, sporting ability & even sustainable dietary success?

specific type of diet based on their genetic makeup could significantly increase weight loss or indeed weight gain in some cases and can reduce risk factors to certain diseases. Your DNA tells you what foods and food groups your body needs and how it processes them. It can identify your body's reaction to certain medication and how your metabolism works. It can detail your absorption rate of minerals and vitamins and how to achieve the very best results as your analysis is as individual as you are. One of the problems with our approach to diet is that we are encouraged by society to think of it only through the prism of weight loss, as opposed to overall, optimum health. What you eat affects everything, your skin, hair, energy levels, sleep quality, chronic diseases and so forth. If there’s one thing that any healthy eating professional can teach you, it’s that changing your diet in a minor way can get rid of seemingly incurable illnesses, mysterious aches and pains, and can even reduce anxiety and depression. Understanding your own unique DNA empowers you to make those changes. We are offering the support and understanding of the difficulties that any change in our lives can bring as well as a deeper understanding of our own DNA and how it is affecting us on a daily basis.

THE ODD ORIGINS OF EVERYDAY PHRASES

1) Turn a blind eye often used to refer to a willful refusal to acknowledge a particular reality dates back to British naval hero Horatio Nelson. During 1801’s Battle of Copenhagen, Nelson’s ships were pitted against a large Danish-Norwegian fleet. When his more conservative superior officer flagged for him to withdraw, the one-eyed Nelson supposedly brought his telescope to his bad eye and blithely proclaimed, “I really do not see the signal.” He went on to score a decisive victory. 2) WHITE ELEPHANT White elephants were once considered highly sacred creatures in Thailand... The animal even graced the national flag until 1917 but they were also wielded as a subtle form of punishment. According to legend, if an underling or rival angered a Siamese king, the royal might present the unfortunate man with the gift of a white elephant. While ostensibly a reward, the creatures were tremendously expensive to feed & house, and caring for one often drove the recipient into financial ruin. 3) Crocodile tears Modern English speakers use the phrase “crocodile tears” to describe a display of superficial or false sorrow, but the saying actually derives from a medieval belief that crocodiles shed tears of sadness while they killed and consumed their prey. The myth dates back as far as the 14th century and comes from a book called “The Travels of Sir John Mandeville.” Wildly popular upon its release, the tome recounts a brave knight’s adventures during his supposed travels through Asia. Mandeville’s account of weeping reptiles later found its way into the works of Shakespeare, and “crocodile tears” became an idiom as early as the 16th century. MORE NEXT MONTH...

BEST MOVIE CARS EVER...

“You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!” One of the all time classic lines from the movies, we check out some of the best film cars ever…

ASTON MARTIN DB5 - GOLDFINGER (1964) A car that cemented Aston Martin’s relationship with the world’s least-secret secret agent indeed, one that continues to this day - is also really rather gorgeous. In the film, it had many gadgets for specific purposes each, applicable to Bond’s predicaments in the 1964 classic. How fortuitous Mr Bond...

LAMBORGHINI MIURA - THE ITALIAN JOB (1969) We could have opted for the Mini Cooper, because they were the real heroes in the film. But do you remember the majestic Lamborghini winding through the Italian hills to a glorious soundtrack. This is how every movie ever should open we think. The less said about the poor Miura’s fate three minutes after however, the better.

DELOREAN DMC-12, BACK TO THE FUTURE (1981) Visually, this stainless-steel stunner is legendary. The engine though wasn't quite the supercar that flashy bodywork promised, carrying a pokey 130-hp 2.9-liter V-6. No matter. Its futuristic looks combined with a bit of movie magic gave the DeLorean “Rock-Star” status.

FERRARI MODENA GT SPYDER CALIFORNIA, FERRIS BUELLER’S DAY OFF (1986) Movie magic and a limited budget are the culprits of this Ferrari imposter. A “replicar” built to resemble a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California instead of a Ferrari. Three replicas were made for filming. Two of them went up for auction in this century through Mecum, one in 2013 garnering $235,000 (Real one shown!)

60

SHELBY GT500, GONE IN 60 SECONDS (2000) This Dupont Pepper Grey 1967 Ford Mustang fastback depicted as a Shelby GT500. Eleven of the fictional Mustangs were created for the movie, with only three of them being working cars and two were ultimately destroyed during filming.

Weird Driving Laws FROM AROUND THE GLOBE

Driving in another country can be a stressful experience, especially when you are on the left hand side of the car driving on the right side of the road (or vice versa). As if it wasn't enough to be in an unfamiliar driving position, there are some places in the world with some utterly bizarre driving laws that you should definitely be aware of: We'll begin our tour of the world's weirdest driving laws by examining some odd rules to abide by in Asian countries 1) Make sure that your driver isn't drunk too. In Japan, being a sober passenger isn't enough, if the driver is intoxicated, the passenger can also be punished under the law.

2) Being a pedestrian is good in Japan, but not so much in China, and Beijing in particular, where it is illegal to stop for pedestrians. 3) Wearing a shirt is mandatory while driving In Thailand, it's mandatory to wear a shirt while driving, going topless can fine equal to a 1000 baht. 4) In Manila, Philippines, you cannot drive on Mondays if your number plate ends in a 1 or 2.

The biggest list of weird driving laws come from America, Most of which come from California.

U.S.A

IN CALIFORNIA IT IS ILLEGAL: 1) To jump from a car at 65mph. 2) For an unoccupied vehicle to exceed 60mph. 3) To buff or dry your car with used underwear, in San Francisco specifically? 4) To use a road as a bed. 5) Shoot an animal from your car, unless it is a whale (this law is also applicable in Tennessee).

OTHER AMERICAN STATES: 6) You can't drive a camel on the highway in Nevada. 7) In Alaska, you are not allowed to tie a dog to the roof of your vehicle.

8) Crossing state lines with a duck on your head is not permitted in Minnesota 9) In Kentucky where it is illegal to let your pet molest a vehicle! 10) In Montana, you can't leave a sheep unescorted in a truck. 11) In Denver, Colorado, it is illegal to drive a black car on Sundays. 12) It's against the law in Oklahoma to read a comic book while driving.

IN EUROPE

As crazy as the rules are in America, there are some strange ones to get your head around on our own continent:

1) Cleanliness is close to Godliness in Moscow where you can be slapped with a fine for having a dirty car. 2) It is a legal requirement in France for you to carry your own breathalyser.

3) In Denmark, the law states that you must check for children that may be hiding underneath your car before setting off on your journey. 4) It is illegal to eat or drink anything while driving in Cyprus. 5) In Switzerland, you can't wash your car on a Sunday.

6) Don't sit in the front seat if you are drunk. As a passenger? But in Macedonia, if one is "visibly under the influence of alcohol", he/she cannot sit in the front seat. 7) In typical German fashion, your car must be efficient and it is strictly illegal to stop or break down for any reason on the autobahn (which includes being out of fuel). 8) In the UK Taxis are not allowed to carry rabid animals or corpses and you must not flag down a taxi if you have the plague! 9) In France you’re not allowed to use headphones of any kind, whether in a portable music device or for your phone. 10) In France if a driver flashes their headlights at you it’s because they will move first; they’re not letting you through. You must also carry spare headlight bulbs. 11) All cars must have functioning windscreen wipers, but they don’t technically need a windscreen in Luxembourg. Guess that puts the Ariel Atom out, then! 12) In Spain Cyclists always have right-of-way. This explains a lot! 13) In Russia Hitchhiking is illegal, so don’t pick one up, and don’t hitchhike yourself. The same rule applies in Switzerland.

REST OF THE WORLD

crazy road laws that exist in other places... 1) Possibly the most backwards law of all belongs to Saudi Arabia where it is the only country that women are not allowed to drive, but they are permitted to own a car. 2) In Africa - Animals have as much right of way as pedestrians and there are big fines if you don't stop for a crossing animal. We certainly wouldn't argue. 3) In India - Use of high beam headlights at night will attract a 500 Rupee fine, but according to reports, this is the main cause of road accidents and is considered very dangerous. On the other hand, driving a vehicle at night and without headlights will attract just 5 Rupee fine, a cruel joke we think! 4) In India - No traffic violation laws can be imposed on non-motorized vehicles, which include bicycles, rickshaws, etc. This explains the chaos on most Indian roads...

Capricorn, an unhealthy relationship ends this month, and patterns that once set the stage of your love life are abandoned in favour of more fulfilling options. If you’ve wondered about trust, the mystery is gone, replaced by a true picture during the Moon on September 9th. Family ties and issues on the home front can be a source of frustration after September 16th, with problems below the surface emerging during the Moon on September 25th. Take inventory and get rid of products that aren’t moving or costly investments through September 11th. Financial losses from unexpected cost overruns or poor workmanship can be a problem. September is a great month for you to work on your inner peace and get your whole life into perspective. It’s time to activate your imagination and keep your energy flowing. Subtle therapies like reiki can be quite successful. Aquarius, commitments need careful consideration: How is your relationship supporting your needs? Bidding good-bye to unhealthy bonds will allow you to open your heart to your true needs. Second thoughts about a relationship give you a new perspective this could then lead to a light blub moment leading forward. Money matters especially taxes, or joint investments can be complicated at this time. If an ongoing problem seems to be stuck, progress can be made after September 14th, when obstacles give way to practical solutions. Achieving balance and creating a sense of flow between your inner self, your physical body, and the demands of the outside world stimulate a need to incorporate something different into your daily routine. Alternative therapies can jump start your energy when you’re feeling low. Pieces, cooperation with others may not be easy, especially if you’re dealing with people you don’t really like or if you’re ending a relationship. A different approach to your roles in partnership during the Moon on September 9th can change old patterns and help revive old loves. If you are single then the Moon on September 25th may bring a new love into your life. Are you feeling more driven to accomplish your aims this month, you can run into intensive power struggles with others who view you as a threat. Assess the manner in which you’re projecting yourself to strengthen your position. Eliminating debts and unnecessary financial burdens this month leaves room for expansion later on. Stress and tension increase, and it’s necessary to find ways to keep your energy flowing freely. Schedule a massage, foot reflexology treatment, or a session with your acupuncturist to release blocks.. Aries, even though there’s a lot of work to do this month, you’re feeling more confident and creative. If you are thinking about getting fit or starting a new health regime then September 2020 is the month to do it! Learn more about your health - refocusing your mental attitudes makes a significant impact on your physical well-being. Although you may have questions about your love life at the moment, the key issues are centered on how you really feel about your relationships. Your home life may present extra dilemmas from September 10th to 23rd. After that, your focus is trained on partnerships or potential partners! Open your heart during the Aries Moon on September 25th and new love may find its path to you. You may have some big expenses for travel or education this month. Try to avoid frivolous or risky expenditures. Taurus, to experience a true sense of alchemy in your love life, you may need to address some of your old inhibitions this month. Let love be your guide during the Moon on September 9th, when the flow of energy from your heart works like a magical elixir. Whether you’re exploring a new love or delving into untried dimensions of an existing relationship, this is your time to get to the core of what it means to be truly intimate. Good fortune may arise from an old investment or maybe even a lottery win from September 1st to 16th. Tension at work can arise during the Moon on September 25th, but may be quickly diffused once you identify the culprit. Improvements on the home front work nicely. Whether you’re renovating or just rearranging the furniture, use this time to create a new flow of energy in your personal space.

Gemini, with Mars and in your skies this month you may have quite a battle on your hands, particularly if someone’s playing power games. Knowing when to stand firm and when to walk away takes tremendous self-control. If you really want this situation to work, then you’ll fight for it. Kara had not yet done her kitchen, but perhaps would update it next. Brian, who is married to Maud, had not had new windows. Laura delighted in showing photographs of her new conservatory. Neither Charles nor David had a new kitchen. Julie had not had new windows. Alan, who also had not had windows, is not married to Laura and Charles is not married to Kara. Who is married to whom? and what work had they recently undertaken, assuming that each couple had one improvement and no two couples had the same improvement.

A Psychiatrists Help... A woman went to a psychiatrist because she was having severe problems with her sex life. The psychiatrist asked her many questions but did not seem to be getting a clear picture of her problems.

Finally he asked, "Do you ever watch your husband's face while you are having sex?" "Well, yes, I did once." "And how did he look?" "Very angry." At this point the psychiatrist felt that he was really getting somewhere and he said, "Well that's very interesting, we must look into this further. Now tell me, you say that you have only seen your husband's face once during sex; that seems somewhat unusual. How did it occur that you saw his face this time?"

"He was looking through the window at us."

WHATEVER YOU DO IN LIFE, ALWAYS GIVE 100%. UNLESS YOU’RE DONATING BLOOD.

A fellow was talking to his buddy, and he said, “I don't know what to get my wife for her birthday. She has everything, and besides, she can afford to buy anything she wants, so I'm stumped.” His buddy said, “I have an idea. Why don't you make up a certificate saying she can have 60 minutes of great sex, any way that she wants it. She'll probably be thrilled.” So the fellow did. The next day his buddy asked, “Well? Did you take my advice?” “Yes, I did,” said the fellow. “And... did she like it?” His buddy asked. “Oh yes! She jumped up, thanked me, kissed me on the forehead and ran out the door yelling, ‘I'll be back in an hour!!!’” 72

A Traffic Warden was rushed to the hospital with an inflamed appendix. The doctors operated and advised him that all was well. However, the Traffic Warden kept feeling something pulling on the hairs in his nether regions. Worried that it might be a second surgery the doctors hadn't told him about, he finally got enough energy to pull his hospital gown up enough so he could look at what was making him so uncomfortable. Taped firmly across his pubic hair were three wide strips of adhesive tape, the kind that doesn't come off easily. Written in large black letters was the sentence. "Get well soon..... Love from the nurse you gave a ticket to last week."
