Santa Barbara has always been the heartbeat of Could I Have That? Having grown up in the elusive California beach town—and now raising my own family here—I have a deep connection

not only to the city itself but also to the intangible aesthetic that Santa Barbara embodies. In turn, Could I Have That? mirrors and celebrates my enthusiasm for the paradise that I have been lucky to call home over my years. Additionally, Could I Have That? proudly explores each of the unique

aspects that create the desirable Santa Barbara lifestyle—from beach and beauty, to health and wellness, and especially dining and leisure. TH E

After so many inquiries over the years, I decided to finally share my insider guide to Santa Barbara. I love being a part of this city and every time I come home from a trip I’m reminded how special it really is. Since I’ve spent nearly my entire life here, sharing the best of the best places to eat, shop, stay and things to do feels as easy as making a grocery list. So if you’re headed to Santa Barbara, which I hope you do at some point, here are all of my recommendations...

HOME AWAY FROM HOME... If there’s one thing we have here in Santa Barbara, it’s charm. Overflowing actually. Even John

and Jackie Kennedy picked it as their honeymoon destination. From the tiny bed and breakfast spot to the bigger 5 star resorts, all of these hideouts mirror the idyllic setting of Santa Barbara. E L

STARTING OFF RIGHT... I would argue that the best cinnamon roll lives right here in Santa Barbara. Whatever your ultimate start to the day looks like—a cup of coffee, an organic scramble or a carb-filled splurge since it’s vacation—you can be sure to find it here.

BEST COFFEE SHOPS You can learn a lot about a community when you spend some time in a local coffee shop. Lucky for us, Santa Barbara has a lot of great coffee spots - definitely give any of these a try - even if you’re just passing through town and need a quick pick-me-up. TH E

SHOPPING... There’s a sort of je ne sais quoi about Santa Barbara and you’ll find that in the shopping here. Not to mention incredibly stylish locals running the shops.

TOUR AROUND THE AREA... One of the things I love about Santa Barbara is how centrally located it is within the California Coast. Thirty minutes over the hill and you’re in wine country, 45 minutes another direction and you’ll find the artist enclave, Ojai. Here are my favorite day trips that you could easily do in a day or less while staying in Santa Barbara.
