Castle lovers will love Beaumaris, the last and largest of Edward I’s ‘Iron Ring’ of fortresses in North Wales. Once discovered, the big skies of North Yorkshire beckon almost everyone’s inner explorer to immerse themselves in the national parks of both the moors and the dales, although there is plenty of scope, too, for those who prefer to drive, or take the North York Moors Railway. For those heading south, the Kent Downs are an equally appealing Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, stretching from the London/Surrey borders to the White Cliffs of Dover.

Wild Cherry Camping is a perfect site for families and couples, with a silent-site policy after 10pm, letting guests escape to rural North Wales, enjoy a digital detox and recharge the batteries whilst letting the children embrace the outdoors. The environment is at the heart of the site and recycling, renewable energy and sustainable practices are actively embraced. There are five pitches to chose from, all pitches have campfire pits.
