Valerie and Peter of Samphire Vintage Props dressed the space to create a boho-style chill-out area; perfect for couples wanting a romantic, cosy retreat for relaxing under the stars. They explain, “We used low-level tables which we made from reclaimed wooden pallets, together with natural seagrass floor cushions, pouffes, vintage bamboo cane furniture with cotton and linen cushions, vintage crystal decanters and glassware, gold handcrafted moons and star lanterns.” Visit www.samphirevintageprops.co.uk to see more of what they offer.

driana’s head was turned when she first caught sight of Matt at their local gym. “I then contacted him via social media, sparked up a conversation and he asked me on a date that night,” she reveals. They went to TGI Fridays followed by a walk at local beauty spot St James’ Hill, Norwich – a winning combo which Matt repeated for the proposal! “It came as a complete surprise,” Adriana recalls. “Matt text me while at work in the afternoon asking if I’d like to go out to eat.” He suggested the same restaurant and after-dinner walk and Adriana never cottoned on to the fact that something was afoot. “It was our first date all over again, but I just thought it was a lovely idea as he wasn’t acting any differently. Then during the walk he pulled a box from his pocket and I burst into tears! We still laugh about it to this day because, for all I knew, it could have just been earrings instead of an engagement ring!” The wedding took place on 9th February, 2020 at The Assembly House, Norwich in the midst of a mega storm. Read on for Adriana’s account of their big day…

As soon as we saw The Assembly House I had a lump in my throat. I knew it was right for us and could picture our day there. It’s bright, spacious with beautiful chandeliers and doesn’t need much decoration as it’s already stunning.

Julie and Craig’s wedding was a happy mix of close family and friends, great food and special touches Images courtesy of Ben Chapman Photography
J
ulie and Craig didn’t let distance get in the way of romance even though, when they first met online, they were living a three-hour drive away from each other. He was based in London and she was in Nottingham and after getting to know each other over the phone they spent the next two years alternating between their homes every weekend before finally settling down together in Grantham. “Craig has the most amazing blue eyes and he looked so kind and gentle in his profile picture,” reveals Julie. “Apparently he was attracted by my eyes too! We shared several messages but before we actually got to speak my mum had a heart attack, so everything went on hold for a while. When things settled down, I was relieved to find he was still interested.” After their first phone call they spoke every day for hours after work until
finally meeting in person and embarking on their long-distance relationship. Craig popped the question in September, 2017 while they were on holiday in New York. Julie had already pre-warned him, that if he ever did decide to propose, not to do it in public as she hated fuss. So true to her wishes, he got down on one knee in the hotel bedroom as she came out of the shower. “I had absolutely no idea what was going on, it was a complete surprise and I just stood there in shock,” recalls Julie. “Once I’d calmed down and said, ‘yes’ of course, all I could think about was calling my parents back home before they went to bed!” They tied the knot on 28th September, 2019, at All Saints Church in High Kelling, Norfolk followed by a reception at the nearby Pheasant Hotel. Read on for Julie’s account of their big day... 33
I couldn’t get the idea of the church wedding I’d always wanted out of my head. We spend a lot of time with Craig’s parents near Holt and there’s a tiny little chapel across the road in the woods which we’ve always loved, so once we decided to get married there, everything else fell into place.
I loved the dropped shoulders of my ivory lace Dracane dress by Pronovias.
Walking into the church and seeing so many friends and family, including some that I hadn’t seen for ages, was emotional.
34
I added matching diamanté belts to the maid-of-honour and flowergirl’s dresses.
My amazing hairdresser Amie did the whole bridal party’s hair including both mums. She was fantastic, helping to calm my nerves on the morning and making sure everyone looked fab!
REAL WEDDINGS
Craig went to Richard James in Saville Row, London for his bespoke navy three-piece suit. I still tease him now that it cost more than my dress! Both dads, the groomsmen and ring bearer Mason all wore navy suits with blush pink ties while Craig’s was ivory to stand out from the rest.
Craig is a fan of fast cars but also loves vintage VWs, so we chose Daisy, a stunning vintage cream Beetle with a soft top for our wedding transport. Unfortunately, it rained on the day but that didn’t stop us from having the roof down for a while, with umbrellas of course! It looked stunning at the church and later on the pebbly Weybourne beach!
We’d been for meals at The Pheasant before and the food had always been amazing, plus there were enough rooms to accommodate all our guests and several doggies too!
We’re both sticklers for detail so we put a lot of thought into all the special touches.
We held the reception in the hotel conservatory as it was the perfect size with plenty of light and a lovely garden.
I made little birdcage boxes filled with beautiful chocolates for our guests and the children had a gift to keep them amused during the meal.
35
The table centrepieces were large glass hurricane vases surrounded by floral rings to match the rest of the bridal flowers.
Craig made the place names, table numbers and table plan.
The food was incredible! Our guests enjoyed a threecourse meal with three choices for each and then in the evening we had a huge cheese table with local specialities, bread, biscuits and accompaniments.
We used a bookcase in the conservatory to display personal photos of our parents at their weddings along with candles and pictures of our two beloved cats. The cake looked stunning; three layers of delicious sponge in lemon, raspberry and elderflower flavours covered in buttercream and decorated with flowers to match our theme.
Singer and guitarist Steve Young played during the drinks reception and kept the dancefloor busy all evening with some of our favourite tunes and other hits for all ages.
Our photographer Ben was so much fun and easy to be around, we clicked from the moment we first met him at a wedding show.

Outdoor wedding venue Wellington Wood with its meadow circle ceremony area and naked tipi provided the perfect setting for local creatives to work their magic. Photographer and owner of the venue Vicky Plum explains, “The

idea began with a modern dreamcatcher backdrop symbolising the sharing of dreams and connections for a relaxed wedding surrounded by nature. The light, mood and temperature at outdoor weddings transition throughout the day and we wanted to show these changing elements by including a variety of décor and styling from the ceremony to the ‘just-married’ motorbike farewell.” Ribbons, symbolising connection, featured throughout the day from the dreamcatchers to the handfasting ties for the ceremony, to the table backdrop, place names and bouquet. Other elements such as the cake and ethically sourced handmade dresses also echoed the theme.

Make-up artist Ashley Kay created a naturally flawless bridal look including pops of coral and neutral tones for the eyes.

Bask in the vibrant tones and warm sunny vibes of this glorious scene. Cambridgeshire-based photographer Chloe Lezo was so inspired by the Norfolk tulip fields at Hillington she coordinated a team of local suppliers to capture a stunning bridal look among the beautiful blooms. She explains, “I found a floral dress to complement the tulips and had a bespoke headpiece made to match the colours of the field too. Our florist created a bouquet of all British-grown flowers in an array of lovely hues. We also used a bright red armchair for an avant-garde setup within the red tulips.”

ustainability is a big buzzword in the wedding industry as couples grow increasingly aware of the environmental impact of their big day. In response Pippa Eke, owner of Ivy & Gold bridal boutique in Cambridge, has reinvented her offering to provide a new service recycling beautiful bridalwear to give brides sustainable, affordable choices. “The business has now evolved from its original exchange model to stock only ex-samples from British designers, available to brides off-the-rack,” she explains. To capture the essence of the new collection Pippa organised this stylish outdoor shoot calling on the talents of other like-minded suppliers from around the region to showcase some of the gorgeous gowns from Indiebride London and Story Of My Dress. “The shoot was set among wild gardens and wooded areas, which made the perfect backdrop for our theme of natural, wild and British,” Pippa adds.

SILKY SMOOTH
I’d heard about the wonderous effects of silk on hair, but was slightly sceptical until I discovered British brand, This Is Silk. I can tell you I haven’t looked back since. If, like me, you’re growing concerned about the increasing knot of hair wrapped around your hair band, check out the silk skinnies. Made from 22 momme mulberry silk, they protect your hair from friction, kinks and damage, offering strong hold without the unwanted effects of a standard elastic hair band. No longer do I pull a clump of hair out of my head whenever I take my hair down and it already looks in much better condition overall. The bunny skinnies are my super-cute personal favourites, worth every penny. Head over to https://thisissilk.com, you won’t regret it!

MAKING

Kelly Andrews talks to bridal hair specialist Heather Dapaah about her top big-day looks
70
INTERVIEW If you could choose any celebrity to work with, who would it be and why? Can I give two? Michelle Obama and Dina Asher-Smith. They’re very different but both stand for excellence and class. They’re extremely down-to-earth, hard workers and I really admire them both. What’s hot in bridal hair at the moment? Definitely the more relaxed hair styles that look romantic and sultry. So, it makes sense that romantic waves, maybe with the sides pinned up, are popular at the minute.
A
ward-winning hair stylist Heather Dapaah opened her London-based salon, Her Definition at 23 and since then doors have continued to open on her career, working on TV sets, music videos, and getting celebs eventready. To name drop a few, Heather’s clients have included reality stars Kaz Crossley and Priscilla Anyabu, athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton, and British RnB artists Ray BLK, Miraa May and Dolapo. She’s known for her signature Hollywood waves and says, “I love to help women understand their true hair type and learn how they can achieve their hair goals.” Heather is highly sought after for her wide range of hair knowledge, having worked with all hair types and textures, so CWM beauty editor Kelly Andrews was delighted that she was able to take some time out to chat to her about their mutual passion – bridal hair.
I would say, start with the neckline of your desired dress because that will determine how much space we have to play around with. Obviously, face shape is really important too. In general, most people know what hairstyles suit them best, but you want to push the boundaries a little and come out of your comfort zone for your big day. Finally, the style of dress: whether it’s A-line, ballgown, fishtail and so on. Ultimately, you want a well-balanced silhouette. So, if you have an A-line that’s quite slim at the bottom, you can get away with bigger, wow-factor up dos.
If you could impart just one piece of essential advice to brides about their big-day, what would it be? Please take in the moment. Stop thinking of how people will view the day, the reception or indeed, you. Just think of the blessing of marriage and take in every moment.
What’s the biggest pitfall brides should take care to avoid when it comes to their wedding hair? Make sure you have a trial with the hair stylist if you haven’t already seen them do the look you have in mind. It’s also important to practice your wedding hair style as what you think you want might not look or feel right for your day.
Are there any red-carpet celebrity styles that you’ve created that would translate to a bridal look? I’d have to say Gatsby-themed Hollywood waves and vintage waves. No matter what the latest hair trend is you always see these looks on red carpets everywhere.
How can brides ensure their hair is in its best condition for the big day? Do exactly as your wedding hair stylist recommends! This is the only time I would say don’t listen to your hairdresser, because your bridal specialist knows and understands the look you have envisioned together.
What hair products or tools can’t you live without? For bridal hairstyling it’s my one-inch curling tong, liquid hairspray by L’Oréal Studio Line, hair pins and my tail comb.
What’s next for you? Well, after the detrimental effects of this pandemic, it’s definitely to get back to my beloved brides. I’d love to work on some celebrity weddings too.
How can a bride set about deciding the right style for her on her wedding day?
For further information, check out www.herdefinition.co.uk
What’s your main ethos when it comes to creating wedding hair? No matter what the look is I always try to create statement hair that’s timeless, classy and stylish. What’s your signature look? My clients always want my signature Hollywood waves, which instantly add glamour and volume to lustrous locks. It’s a timeless look that’s more than a trend, enhancing any wedding style. What’s been the highlight of your career so far? I’ve been super fortunate in my career so far, especially on a global-scale as I get to meet lots of people. I’d have to say the highlight is the recognition I’ve received for the elegance of my bridal hairstyling. 71
Wedding wellness
The last year’s been tough – take some time out for self-care and focus on your wellbeing #HYDRATIONISKEY
We all know by now that hydration is imperative to good health and a key part of any beauty regime. And if you haven’t been told by now that it’s the key to your wedding skin prep – you will be! However, switching that second cup of coffee for tap water isn’t necessarily the easiest change to swallow. What if we told you there was something that hydrated you faster than ordinary water, tasted better and provided an energising alternative to that acidic cuppa? It’s time to say “hello” to alkaline water. Actiph Water is the UK’s first alkaline ionised water. Purified from Shropshire with added electrolytes and minerals it hydrates you fast and helps to give your skin it’s glow back. Find out more at https://actiphwater.com
#FRESHSTART Bored with hot water and lemon in the morning? Then maybe it’s time for a Fresh Start with Pukka’s newest caffeine-free organic tea. Expertly blended with sustainablysourced organic herbs, delicious zesty organic lemon and warming aromatic fennel seeds, it gently awakens your body and mind to a new day helping you feel your brightest self. What’s more, this stimulating yet soothing blend helps to strengthen the digestive system to support optimum metabolism. Priced at £2.99 for 20 sachets, it’s available at https://uk.pukkaherbs.com, and from health food stores and supermarkets across the land.

#ThePowerOfSleep Given the trials of the last year, looking after ourselves at home has never been more important, so to help with this endeavour, The Somerset Toiletry Company has created a collection of gifts to promote self-care and wellness and we’re all about its Sleepeze range. After all, the importance of sleep when it comes to ultimate wellbeing can never be underestimated, it’s crucial for body and mind. The Sleepeze Calming Gift Set, £9.95, includes a silky eye mask, pillow mist, and essential oil-based rollerball. Then there’s the Calming Sleep Stones, £11.95 – 200g of volcanic rock infused with essential oils to enhance your night-time routine. Finally, in the collection is the Calming Bath Salts, £4.95, perfect for washing away that build up of daily stress before bed. Treat yourself at www.thesomersettoiletryco.co.uk
#SCREENEYES Modern life means we spend more and more time on our devices and computers, and since you blink six to eight times less when you look at a screen, it’s no wonder that many of us are ending the day with tired and heavy eyes. Dry eye syndrome is a condition that affects around 80 per cent of us – a sobering thought considering screen use has increased by 187 per cent over the last three lockdowns. To combat this problem, modern eyecare brand Peep Club has launched its new Relief Eye Spray, £15, which hydrates eyes from the inside out with a clever combo of vegan-friendly, organic and wild-harvested ingredients. It’s suitable for even the most sensitive of peepers, as well as being safe for contact lens wearers and can be used over make-up. Check out www.peepclub.com
EXPERT ADVICE
Bridal beauty
Q&A Local experts tackle your wedding worries
COLOUR CODE I have red hair, hazel eyes, fair skin with freckles and hardly ever wear eye make-up. What type of palette would you suggest to complement my natural colouring so I still look like me on my wedding day? Emma says: When it comes to eyeshadow paler skin tones don’t tend to suit bright shades such as turquoise and blue. Purple and pink will help bring out green tones in your hazel eyes while more neutral colours like brown, gold and bronze, will help make the brown tones feel warmer. Finding ways to work both in will really help your hazel eyes pop. All of these shades will make your eyes and freckles stand out. Personally, I love the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. The light brown, pink and taupe shades work best with a pop of gold or bronze highlight in the inner corner to complement copper hair and make the most of your eyes. Emma Burgess | Make-up artist www.brunettiartistry.co.uk
PERFECT PEEPERS
TRENDY TAILS I love the current trend for bridal ponytails and want one for my wedding but my hair’s quite thin and not very long. With only four months to go until the big day, is there any hope for me? Sharron says: The great thing about a ponytail is that it doesn’t just have to be for casual wear, they’re great for weddings too. Modern and at the same time elegant and trendy, a ponytail can have texture, curls or waves, messy-style or twisted. Wispy bangs or braids can be added or it can be sleek and off the face. From easy high puff ponytails to low smooth styles, with or without accessories, there are so many ways to dress up this look. Don’t worry if your hair is fine or not very long, as extensions can always be added to give you extra length, volume and colour. Sharron Wratten | Hair and make-up artist www.eleganthairandbeauty.co.uk
My eyelashes are very sparse and I’d love them to look fuller and longer for my wedding day. I’m not sure about wearing false ones though as I want to feel comfortable and keep my bridal make-up as natural as possible. Any ideas? Paige says: Your wedding is possibly the most photographed day of your life, and you should feel as comfortable as possible. If you don’t fancy wearing false lashes then there are other options available to enhance your natural ones. Most bridal make-up artists would never push big heavy lashes as part of your look though, as they can cast a shadow on your face, especially in photographs. So if you do end up opting for false ones, I’d suggest the very lightweight individual fan type to help achieve a fuller, more enhanced lash line as opposed to a heavy strip lash. A popular treatment to make the most of what you have is a lash lift, similar to the lash perm, however rather than focusing on curling, the process centres on lifting and lengthening your natural lashes, as well as tinting, for a darker, fuller and longer effect! It needs to be done by a professionally trained therapist and will also require a patch test at least 48 hours beforehand. The results last around six to eight weeks, so your lashes will still be looking great after the wedding day too. You may want to try the treatment out a couple of months before the big day and if you love it then you’ll feel confident and be ready to have them done again in time for the wedding. Paige Richards | Make-up artist and beauty specialist www.mirrorimagestudio.uk 73

hat a difference those all-important extra touches and decorative details make? Local suppliers showed how to create a fresh modern look at Norfolk’s Park Farm Hotel to show off the popular wedding venue’s newly revamped Colney Suite. HOT TOPIC Local experts on what’s next for weddings
THE GREAT BLUE YONDER We got engaged during lockdown and haven’t started planning our big day yet. With the horizon now looking brighter we’re keen to get cracking and are hoping to have an outdoor wedding. How do you see the shape of things to come? Vicky says: After the past year of lockdowns appreciation of the great outdoors and enjoying the freedom of natural spaces has grown. This has led to increased demand for al fresco weddings for relaxed togetherness and connection with loved ones surrounded by nature and fresh air. Couples are becoming more mindful and interested in exactly how and where their money is being spent, wanting locally grown seasonal produce and flowers, as well as services and products that support local small businesses. The wedding is an expression of their personal choices and what they stand for and no matter what the budget is, many newlyweds-to-be are definitely a lot more interested in making their wedding more sustainable and ethical. Outdoor weddings are all about creating a relaxed flow rather than having a rigid plan and timetable. This is often reflected in the décor and styling choices too. In general, those who opt for an outdoor wedding want style-savvy simplicity, a natural backdrop and lots of meaningful and mindful details personal to them without rules and formality. Creative ideas for minimum waste, maximum use and impact can include: ♥ Moveable ceremony backdrops and props that can double up for both the ceremony and celebration. ♥ Wooden poles for hanging dreamcatchers, ribbons or flowers that can also be set up later elsewhere. Hang small flower-filled glass bottles from the branches of trees and reuse them to decorate the tables or other areas later on. Personalised items can also be part of the décor and double up as favours for your guests too. ♥ For the catering, food trucks offer a stylish alternative to formal dining and rather than having a set table plan, couples can opt to eat with their 78
guests instead. Think rustic wooden trestle tables, with soft material or cheesecloth runners instead of tablecloths to add to the natural feel. ♥ Outdoor weddings provide extra scope for creativity, space and freedom to add natural touches to the décor and styling. Many choose their wedding date to tie in with their favourite season in order to reflect the natural backdrop such as a daisy meadow and wildflowers in the spring or a meadow with savannah grasses for a late summer celebration; perfect for a boho theme. ♥ We’re definitely noticing more requests for low pallet tables and seats outdoors with rugs spread over the grass so guests can relax and chat. Dried flowers are popular too and are a great keepsake. There’s also increased demand for glamping accommodation to extend the celebration over the whole weekend. MICRO MAGIC We’ve downsized our big day and will be having an intimate gathering instead followed by a bumper party to celebrate with all our friends and family next year. Although small in numbers, we still want our wedding day to be special though, especially the cake! What would you suggest? Emma says: I firmly believe that the ‘new normal’ in whatever form that takes, is up to us as wedding suppliers to create with our existing couples and those newly engaged who are looking for a bit of direction. With the right creative people at the planning table, I think a micro wedding can truly be a thing of splendour. Slimming down your guest list can mean more money available to splash out on extras to add impact and create a more abundant affair. Your cake can still be a star of the show, beautifully presented and decorated to complement your wedding flowers by coordinating with your florist. I always prime each bloom, ensuring its hygienic and food safe, and each finished look is created organically on the day. Inspired by texture, form and colour, I love the final reveal of the florist’s selection and finding the perfect placement for each stem or frond. Layering blooms, petals and greenery underneath the stand also helps create an ambience and a ‘space’ for the cake, hopefully generating a buzz so your guests will gather around to admire it.
We’ve postponed our wedding twice over the last year and are now hoping to get married as soon as we can. We’re not going to have the day we originally planned but definitely don’t want to compromise on the flowers. What trends and influences do you see emerging in the months ahead? Laura says: Freedom will be a core theme with a focus on the environment and use of natural resources. Smaller scale weddings will be coming into their own with the emphasis on quality over quantity. With heightened appreciation of nature we’re likely to be seeing lots of greenery and plants included in the décor. Couples in general are taking more account of their big-day setting and want to reflect the natural landscape by drawing inspiration from their venue’s existing gardens, wonderful foliage and flowers for their floral arrangements. Other key trends include: ♥ More pedestal arrangements and potted plants dotted around the floor. ♥ A continued move towards sustainability with use of seasonal flowers and foliage. ♥ Smaller posies for the bouquets featuring delicate flowers such as daisies, asters, love- in-a-mist, sweet peas and waxflowers. ♥ Incorporating meaningful and sentimental items into the wedding arrangements such as a favourite bloom or flowers to represent your birth month. ♥ Bright jewel-like colours, like crimson, cerise, yellow, red and blue as well as earthy shades of yellow, brown, red, terracotta and green. WITH THIS RING… My fiancé proposed to me with a Haribo ring during lockdown and now I get to pick my own! We both want our wedding to be eco-friendly and to make as many sustainable, ethical choices as possible. What should I look out for when choosing my ring? Sara says: Sustainability has become an important consideration and people are increasingly looking for greater understanding of the provenance of their jewellery and the materials used. As manufacturing jewellers, all our metal is recycled as standard and customers have the option to order Fair Trade metal as well. As part of our trade body we adhere to strict rules when it comes to making sure we and our diamond suppliers are all 100 per cent conflict-free, which is something to look out for if you want to make ethical choices. You can even have lab-grown diamonds, for those that might want to avoid natural ones for any reason. More organic styles and designs are in demand, especially with younger couples, and bespoke requests incorporating heirloom jewellery are as popular ever. Sara Sweet | Owner | www.sonkai.co.uk 79

Ring-a-ding-ding County Wedding Magazines editor Melissa Barker shares her wedding planning journey
L
ike many of you, I’m currently trying to plan my wedding during a global pandemic – there’s a sentence I never thought I’d say! My partner Dave and I have been together just under three years, and we’d talked about getting engaged a few times over the course of our relationship. My work colleagues were also giddy every time we went away thinking he would propose; after a fantastic trip to the Northern Lights and coming back ring-free none of us had any idea when it would be – but I kind of liked it that way! He had planned to propose last July but, due to COVID-19, his dreams of a romantic trip abroad were quashed. He had several backup
plans, all of which were ruined by lockdowns and restrictions, so in the end, he asked me in front of my family (virtually) on Christmas Day. It was a lovely moment, and we were both really excited and couldn’t wait to start planning.
PLAN, PLAN, PLAN! Having worked in the wedding industry for the last few years, I had a rough idea of where to start with the planning process. I’m highly organised and a big fan of making lists – there isn’t a folder in our house that isn’t colour coded, so the first thing I did was purchase a wedding planner to keep track of everything. I also looked through local wedding magazines, made a Pinterest board and joined a few Facebook groups, which are full of community spirit. Next, Dave and I sat down and made a list of the people we wanted to come to our wedding. A great rule we followed was to only invite people that we’d spoken to in the last six months. It might sound harsh, but we both have large extended families and were concerned it may quickly turn in to a big list of people who we don’t really know! We narrowed it down to 40 day guests and an additional 40 in the evening. Once we had the list, we were able to start focusing on the dreaded budget, which has been one of my least favourite parts of the process so far. We looked through guides online and overbudgeted for everything to ensure we don’t have any nasty surprises further down the line.
THE PERFECT SETTING After we had decided on our rough numbers and budget, we began the exciting part – looking 90
at venues. Due to the restrictions, this was a bit unconventional, with many properties only offering virtual viewings or only communicating via e-mail. Luckily, we managed to view our favourite venue in person the day before lockdown 3.0 began, and I’m so glad we did! We fell in love with it right away, and the staff have been amazing throughout the initial planning process. They were more than happy to answer all of our questions, in particular the dreaded COVID-19 related ones, and quickly set our minds at ease. It was exactly what we wanted with a gorgeous outdoor ceremony space and a barn area for the reception, perfect for our desired summer nuptials. We’re so excited to visit again, and for my mum, who is in full planning mode, to finally see it. Based on our venue’s advice we reserved the date, checked that our local council had a registrar available and once that was confirmed, we paid our deposit – yipee! I’ve since seen online a few brides who have booked their wedding but have been unable to secure a celebrant or registrar for their date. I’m thankful we followed the advice and checked first, it’s meant we have had a drama-free start to the wedding planning and are excited to see our plans unfold! Next issue, hear all about our plans for the food – my favourite bit – and finding our photographer!

BRIDE’S DIARY
Dave and I want quite a simple cake that’s full of delicious chocolate – yum! I love the idea of incorporating log slices throughout the day to add a rustic touch.
Here’s my moodboard to help give you heaps of inspiration.
I adore macrame and have been learning how to do it in my spare time. We’re planning to make an arch to place behind us when we get married.
Our plan is to hire long wooden tables mixed with a few round versions.
Hanging lights are a popular trend that we’re thinking of using in our venue’s grounds.
We’ve decided on a sage green and blush pink colour scheme and want to incorporate lots of foliage.
Gold or rose gold cutlery is a must have!
This elegant envelope is exactly what we’re looking for. 91
