n my way home from a car show or cruise I often think about the good and, perhaps, the not so good aspects of the event. My thoughts may include the vehicle and/or spectator turnout, facility size and cleanliness, food and other vendors and the general e ﬁ ien o t e e ent s ro oters al a s tr to focus on the upside of any activity I attend because the negativity just takes away from the fun and en o ent o t e ti e s ent don t no i t ere is s a t in as a er e t e ent t d a e to sa this one was pretty close. stinto n o ns i ar is a o t ﬁ e iles ro my home and a short trip is always a plus for me. The facility is large and well-manicured with plenty of space for both the event and spectator parking. Armstrong is a regional cable TV and internet provider. They have their own cable channel to promote regional activities and one of their popular shows is Street Scene. The team checks out and reports on automotive activities around the area. Street Scene TV host Rick Gurrera and co-host Krysta Sylvester along with Greg Rhoton and the crew traveled the grounds talking with those in attendance resulting in video coverage featuring many of the eo le s rides e ta in an e o nd on o e

Less than a week after this show, they announced a return to this location on July 24, 2022 for the 10th Annual Street Scene Car & Custom Bike Show. That sounds good to me!

The park had a band shell where Youngstown’s Vegas Band provided live music followed up by DJ Thomas John. Youngstown Cycle & Speed hand made all of the trophies that were presented to class winners at the end of the show. Door prizes were also handed out. Food was provided by Molnar’s Concessions and several other vendors were on hand to provide information about their products/services. All proceeds from this exciting event went to the American Heart Association. If all of this was not enough, an afterparty was planned at the Austintown Quaker Steak & Lube with the Austintown Police assisting in an organized cruise to that location. Whaddya think? Maybe put this show on you 2022 schedule? This years show is planned for July 24, 2022. With a rain date of August 14th. That’s all I have - Joe

Blue Arrow Farms Hits the Car Show Bullseye Photos and story by John McCartney

he Blue Arrow Farm located in Pine Island, New York is the perfect back drop for a weekly car show get together. You can feel all the groovy vibes from the late sixties when rock bands would come together in one place to have a fun relaxed event enjoying each others style of music. Well, this is just the feel and setting that Danny Colicchio of Danny C. Entertainment had in mind when he started his weekly cruise at the Blue Arrow Farm. From this simple idea came what was know as the Blue Arrow Farm Hot Rod Cruise Night & Concert Series. Each and every Wednesday night for seven months that is just what happens all types of cars converge for a fun night of cars and music. It’s now know as the best night of the week for friends to gather together. During the entire run of the cruise nights Danny C worked extremely hard to make each and every night very special for all who attend. Each week he had a special theme with all sorts of cool stuff. Every night of the entire series there are great bands playing live music to keep everyone entertained and moving and dancing around. There were cool train rides to take families all around the giant Blue Arrow Farm grounds allowing folks to check all the cool stuff on display. At one end of the farm there are a number of cool farm animals to check out. As the train makes it way back thru the car show area it then makes it way out to the land of dinosaurs. Where there can be found all types of dinosaurs on display of course in lifestyle model form. These dinosaurs are mixed in between all sorts of cartoon style houses

Junior Drag Racer Savannah brought out her junior dragster to spend time talking with fans both young and old about her racing career and even ﬁrin er ar d rin t e ni t In addition to all the great food, drink, music and great cars there are vendors on hand as well. James’ 1972 El Camino Cortland, Ohio. This is my 1972 El Camino that I have owned for more than 23 years. As you can see I’ve had different sets of wheels and tires on it throughout my ownership. I just pulled the old 350 which had a little more than 200,000 miles and replaced it with a ZZ4 350 and a 700 R4 Overdrive transmission. This thing will roast the tires off the back now. It can now cruise down the highway doing 80 without any issues at all!

Charles’ 1986 Corvette Convertible Washington C.H. Ohio. This Corvette is a member of the family. We purchased this 1986 Corvette Convertible new from Dority Chevrolet in Parma, Ohio. This is my 10th Corvette that Ive owned. I wanted something a bit different than the stock appearance. In less than a year I had the full ground effects package, gold trim, American Racing wheels, and a hood inserts 308 GT, next came the wood trim for the interior. My grandson Ryan has enjoyed Cruisin the street shows in Rittman, Medina, and Brunswick for several years. Soon the Corvette will be in the family for over 34 years and 44,000 miles of good times!

The RNRCSM reserves the right to establish and enforce all rules to provide an orderly and safe environment for the participants and spectators, including but not limited to, reserving and assigning spaces, prohibition of pets, alcoholic beverages, strollers and bicycles between cars, burnouts, etc. Anyone failing to comply to our rules will be asked to leave our cruise.
