£ 45,645 Tom James - Brand Ambassador We were delighted to announce ex dual international athlete and rugby player for Wales Tom James as our Brand Ambassador in January 2021. Tom’s career spanned over 15 years, playing for Cardiff Blues, Exeter Chiefs and Scarlets. He represented Wales on 12 occasions and scored two tries. He is Cardiff Blues’ current all time top try scorer. “I first suffered symptoms of mental health back in 2008, but managed to suppress those feelings until 2018, when I suffered a break down. Since then, I have learned how to cope better and I speak regularly to my psychologist and family. Since going public, I have had so many messages from others commenting on how I have helped them to talk about their troubles and seek help. I also feel passionate about raising money and awareness for Mind. It is an honour to be a Patron of Cwm Taf Morgannwg Mind.”
Tom’s Sports Memorabilia Auction Shortly after becoming a Brand Ambassador, Tom organised a Sports Memorabilia Auction - the proceeds of which were donated to us. Tom generated a total of:
£ 5,250 Tom’s memorabilia included signed shirts from rugby and football stars across the UK.
