of meals and supplies weekly to local schools, churches, and shelters. In February 2018, Billyssia was recognized as one of the d-mars.com Top 50 Black Professionals & Entrepreneurs of Texas, as well as in the same year being named a Pinnacle Award finalist by the Greater Houston Black Chamber of Commerce. illyssia Pierce, owner of Bee Fit Foods, a healthy meal prep company located in Houston, Texas, began her health and fitness journey over a decade ago when she began competing in beauty pageants. "It wasn't until I competed on a national level, training for the Miss Texas USA pageant, did I realize how important my health and fitness was to me," she recalls. After growing a love for fitness, Billyssia became a certified personal trainer, creating her brand, Bee Fit Solutions, specializing in personal and group fitness training. Always wanting to build her brand and having a desire for entrepreneurship and empire building, Billyssia realized that in order to contribute more to her clients and those around her to reach their health and fitness goals, it would first have to start with their diets. This inspired Bee Fit Foods, not your typical healthy food store. It was designed to satisfy everyone's lifestyle, allowing customers to customize their own meals, from a 100% gluten-free menu, serving everything from mouth watering steak to delicious lunch and dinner meals such as enchiladas and pastas, as well as dynamic vegan and pescatarian meals.

In less than a year of starting, Billyssia had built such a successful business, it allowed her to open her first store front and years later she now has two locations, the flagship store on 610/Main (near NRG Stadium) and the newest location, inside of ExxonMobil headquarters in The Woodlands/Spring area, with more in the works. Billyssia and Bee Fit Foods has also just secured a major partnership with MD Anderson Cancer Center and will now offer Bee Fit Foods in all their hospital locations. “Business isn't easy, but it's always worth it. You can achieve it, but it's going to take everything you've got," is what she likes to remind herself. Billyssia is also the co-founder of the Busy Bee Foundation, a nonprofit she, her mother, and sister started when she was just in high school. The Busy Bee Foundation is geared towards the advancement of our youth and communities, helping to fund young scholars as they advance to college. This foundation’s efforts do not stop there. The Busy Bee Foundation, along with Bee Fit Foods makes sure to sponsor a local business every month and most times a few businesses a month. The foundation’s service also includes donating thousands

“It is my duty to give my all to my community and to pour back into my community, lifting others up as I continue to grow,” Billyssia believes. Billyssia partners with schools, such as Legacy the School of Sport Sciences, Carson Parke, and she co-hosts health and wellness events with physicians and fitness professionals to bring health education and awareness to the African American community and at-risk areas where the knowledge is needed most. Within her platform, Billyssia has been able to support others in taking back control of their lives, helping them live without medications and achieve substantial weight loss. Her platform helps countless individuals break free from the bad habits that have controlled them for so long. Her ultimate goal is to create a platform that puts her in a position to build others up. As she climbs the ladder of success, she continues to walk in purpose, going after the greatness that was placed inside of her. There is nothing more fulfilling to her than doing something for others who cannot do anything for you in return. A good friend of hers always says, “All ships rise.” And as she continues to build upon a prosperous foundation, she remains humble and grateful for the position she has been given, helping others along the way.
