SPOTLIGHT Avena Cheng President

For her hard work and willingness to assist Lt. Governor Kimberly Barga, Avena Cheng was chosen as Officer of the Month. Avena has demonstrated the ideal attitude of an officer and member going out of her way to lend a helping hand without being asked. Keep up the amazing work!

h g i H s Clovi lub Key C

For not only offering their facilities for this year’s OTC, Clovis High Key Club has gone above and beyond. Transitioning into a new position can be difficult, but working with this club has been a wonderful opportunity. I look forward to working with the Key Club members and officers of CHS throughout the rest of this term. I greatly appreciate the communications, proper and early-bird submissions!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE! Official Division 05 North Newsle7er |8|

Madera South Key Club celebrated this Easter season by preparing a breakfast and 60 candy baskets for children.

Buchanan Key Club has recently helped out at the Special Olympics Swim Meet with their Kiwanis Club! We helped make hamburgers and worked side by side with Clovis High to provide food for the competitors and spectators. Despite the rising temperatures, we still had a lot of fun working with our Kiwanians and Clovis High Key Clubbers! Jaes Johnson

AROUND THE DIVISION

During the month of April and part of May, Clovis West Key Club attended the Farm Fare Event at the San Joaquin River Parkway on Old Friant Road and discussed the major details of the Eliminate Project as well as beginning to start the fundraising for it. At the Farm Fare Event, we were able to receive various tasks from a coordinator named Jesse. His orders ranged from directing cars in the parking lot to setting up numerous beverage stands to cleaning up garbage. This upcoming Friday, we will be returning to help out Jesse with similar tasks at the San Joaquin River Parkway from 4:30PM-8:30PM. Our club officers met up at the Starbucks on Cedar and Shepherd to discuss information about the Eliminate Project. We decided to each provide jars to collect money and other methods in attracting people to help our cause. Finally, we were able to attend the D05N Banquet and congratulate the resignation of Eric Kor and welcome the new LTG: Kimberly Barga. Charles Vatanatham
