Hello Corgis, This month has been jam packed with events. Thank you to all of the members that attended the Valentine's Grams for the Homeless event and the February Division Council Meeting. These upcoming months look out for Key Leader and District Convention. Those are events that are a once in a life time experience, so don't miss out on the chance to attend. Also, officers get ready to transition for next years officers. I will be making new Officer Service Agreements and if your currently an officer and want to run again- you will need to get permission from me. I really want a good foundation of officers for next year, so if you haven't been doing your jobthings won't look so good. But I hope that doesn't deter you from staying active. As the year dwindles down I continue to hope for more DCM attendance, as that was one of my goals of the year. I love seeing new faces and meeting new people! You're amazing and keep slaying. -LTG Kathy

Welcome Hello Kiwanians, This is your 2017-2018 Lieutenant Governor elect Brittney Rodriguez. I am here to serve you all as member, leader, and a friend. I am currently a junior at Clovis North High School where, currently, I play both varsity soccer and badminton. Other enjoyable activities I like doing are meeting new people, reading, and drinking coffee. I have been in Key Club since my freshman year and am the current president, I look forward to working to help better Key Club. By being LTG I am in charge of overlooking Division 5 North and to work to improve how our Division runs. However, to achieve this goal of improvement I rely on the effort of all of the clubs in our Division and Kiwanians, in order to do this I want to encourage even more attendance at DCMs than we have had this past term. Personally, I hope to work on communicational improvements within Division 5 North between Kiwanis, officers, and members. In order to do this I want to make friendships with members and Kiwanians, and also to make it a goal of mine to make sure everybody is updated on information as soon as possible. Hopefully this will help strengthen the feeling of Ohana within our Division and in turn further improve Division 5 North. As your next LTG I aim to improve and to serve Region 12, I am very open to new ideas and will always be available to answer questions. I am so excited to work with my fellow corgis and to serve as your next Lieutenant Governor! -Brittney Rodriguez

January On January 13th all of Clovis Easts officers were in attendance for January DCM and Conclave. Two members, Quran Tran and Makayla Lee also represented to vote in Conclave for the next LTG. Makayla Lee stated, "I enjoyed listening to the speeches and getting to be a part of the voting process!" The T-Wolves enjoyed meeting new members from other schools, playing games, feasting, and all around having a great time. -

D05N Conclave On January 11, we had our Division’s Conclave after our January DCM. All the schools were present and we had about 50 people that showed up, one of the most members in an event. There were two candidates for ‘17-’18 LTG, Angela Yue and Brittney Rodriguez. Both of them delivered their speeches, got to answer questions from D05N Key Clubbers, then the panel voted. Brittney Rodriguez was the chosen LTG for the next term, and she was able to meet and take pictures with other members and our current LTG, Kathy Chu. This is one of the most important events in each division and we are happy for the participation of schools, especially those who travelled for hours on a school night. Congratulations Brittney! We’re rooting for your success. We know that you’ll do a great job!

Holy Family Table For the month of January Madera, South Key Club volunteers attended the Holy Family Table where Key Clubbers go to every Sunday. Key Clubbers are supposed to arrive at the Soup Kitchen around 6:00 am and stay till 10:30, time will be changed if needed. Key Clubbers have many tasks to complete whether it's helping bring chairs down, clean tables, or broom. The members helped make salads, cut up vegetables specifically carrots and broccoli, help cook or separate food and butter the bread when they arrive. The members are assigned jobs which must be completed whether it's handing out utensils, keeping count of how many plates were served, serving salsa, plates, pastries. Once the Holy Family Table closes its doors to the people, members have to clean tables and pick up chairs and place them on top of tables. -By Itzel Garcia, Madera South High School

On January 18th officers Camille TeNyenhuis and Katie Donovan attended Reyburn's Food Fair to fundraise for our club. They sold handmade cake pops and made a total just over $60. Was great getting positive feedback for the delicious treats. -By Taylor Solley, Clovis East High School
