Hi everyone! I’m Angela Yue and I am your new Executive Assistant for the 16-17 school year. You guys will be seeing a lot of me this year so I hope I can get to know each of you. To tell you a little about me, I am a junior at Buchanan and so happy to be your new EA. If you guys have any questions, feel free to contact me. It doesn't just have to be about Key Club as I would like to be friends with you guys. So just treat me as one
of your friends and don’t hesitate to ask me about anything. Just to warn you guys, I am a bit dorky and childish...still a child at heart! I am told that I am kind of whiny so I am sorry in advance. I am told that I don’t look very welcoming at first, but I promise that I am. To end this seemingly long paragraph, I want to thank you guys for being a part of key club as a current or new member. 4
Hey Key Clubbers! I am Stacy Park, your Member Recognition Coordinator for the 2016-2017 term! I am
so excited to help acknowledge many of you that are so committed and engaged in Key Club. I will work my very best to make this year the best year of Key Club as I fulfill my role in the division. I hope you guys
all enjoyed your summer, and I hope to see you at all the key club events, DCMs and much more. Thank you so much and go Corgis! -Stacy Park 5

Hi Corgis! I’m Angela Simplina serving as your new Division News Editor. I am basically the person who receives the visuals and articles of every club in D05N, and also the person who com-
piles all the division’s activities all together in this newsletter. I’ve decided to join the DLT as a way to give back to Key Club. This club has given me many opportunities to meet new people, make friends, serve the community and, ultimately, grow as a person.
So...a little about me. I am an incoming senior at Buchanan High School who loves to paint, draw, take photos, bake, dance and read. I’ve been told
always up for picnics and nature adventures. Tips to make the best out of your Key Club experience 1. ATTEND EVEN WITHOUT A FRIEND Don’t cancel on going attending an even just because your friend can’t come. There will be a lot of people to talk to
2. GET CRAZY! Key Club is all about combining vice and fun

July DCM On Wednesday, June 15th,, the Buchanan Key Club hosted the DCM that took place at Selma Layne Park located in Shepard and Maple. In this DCM, the members participated in events such as icebreakers and volleyball. After the meeting, the dinner service took place where Kiwanis provided hotdogs for everyone. Later on that night, the

CIF
State Track Meet
From Friday, June 3 to Saturday June 4, the Buchanan High School volunteered to help at the yearly CIF State Track Meet at the times of 3-5pm. A total of 5 volunteers helped out the Old Town Clovis Kiwanis in providing food and selling food for the track players in the event. Though it was a very hot day, the key clubbers did not complain on helping out at the event and kept a smile while serving. The Saturday event took later than the Friday event, but thanks to our key clubbers, the Kiwanis got through the hard day of making food for our state track players. The Kiwanis was thankful for the helping hands, and Buchanan was thankful for giving an opportunity to serve on this wonderful 2-day event. -Joshua Bautista, Buchanan High School
Middle School Recruitment On the 2nd of June, two officers were able to go to Desmond Middle School to recruit new members. Due to it being on senior finals, most officers weren’t able to attend. On the 2nd of June, two officers were able to go to Desmond Middle School to recruit new members. Due to it being on senior finals, most officers weren’t able to attend. Same thing happened on the 6th of June where the officers were expected to arrive at 12:00. The officers presented a PowerPoint to the future freshmen to explain to them what Key Club is and what we do. It was a great way to get the students’ attention to join Key Club since most of the other clubs only accept sophomores. The incoming freshmen were able to have an opportunity to be able to start volunteering at the Holy Family Tables since that is one of the major projects that we do. -Ana Tirado, Madera South High School
