Hello hello Corgis, December is such a busy month. There's so much going on, but hey we got through November. Hopefully everyone's college apps are doing well, don't forgot those letter of recs! Going to Fall Rally has really inspired me to push forward our Division. Someday we will leave a large imprint on Fall Rally and win the spirit stick. I have hope for the future.
Speaking of the future, Conclave is coming up. Which means the new Lt. Governor is to be elected in January. I encourage clubs to look out for members who have the potential to be Lt Govenor. It could even be you! Lt. Governor is a lot of hard work, but you gain so much out of it. If you or any of your members are interested please attend Candidate Training Conference on December 10th. That is where you will learn the duties of LTGs and have the opportunity to ask LTGs in R11/12 questions about the job. This is very important for the whole Division. Make sure every Division attends the Conclave on January 13th. The December DCM we'll be donating cans for the food bank and doing a secret santa. I hope everyone has a good break, and hope to see you all throughout Division events! Love you! -LTG Kathy

Hello Key Clubbers!! It’s December already and this year is about to end. I hope it was filled with services and fun times with your friends. As we begin to celebrate holidays and enjoy our times with our loved ones, I hope that we keep in mind the less fortunate people in our community. Check out the December SOSP Focus for some ideas on how you can help. Also, our beloved LTG’s term is almost coming to an end. Lets give her some love for doing an amazing job overseeing D05N. LO-V-E WE LOVE OUR LTG KATHY! P.S. Thank you to all the editors who submitted articles and visuals for November! The schools who have submitted have doubled...I hope to see continuous commitment to your responsibilities

Holy Family Table
For the month of October, Key Clubbers were expected to attend
the holy family table to every Sunday. Key clubbers are expected to arrive at 6am every morning and approximately leave at 9 am. Members are assigned jobs whether it's to butter bread, set up the kitchen table, cut vegetables (Image by Elizabeth Sorenson), help cook, put chairs down from the tables, prepare food, or make the coffee. Once everything is prepared the members are assigned tasks in which they have to either serve food, hand out dessert, serve coffee, help the disabled people with their food, clean tables as people leave, and serve the salsa. The whole time being there members are split into different categories which help them be able to communicate with others members better.

October DCM On October 19 Madera South held the monthly DCM. Members and officers were able to help set up the decorations in the Media Center. To help out members and officers were expected to start set up at 4 pm after school (Image on the right by Itzel Garcia). The DCM was from 6pm until 8pm. The theme was Horror and members were encouraged to dress up as a horror movie character. During the DCM members and officers were able to meet new people and also get to know what other clubs do. We would like to Thank our Officers for doing an amazing job getting food and also preparing the desserts for the DCM (Image on the top left by Itzel Garcia). By Itzel Garcia

Boo Fest On the 24th of October, Madera South High School held their yearly BooFest. It is an event in which all clubs from Madera South are able to hand out candy to the Children from Elementary schools in Madera. The children come to school with their class and go around every booth to play a game and get candy. Key Club was able to participate in this school event. Members who signed up for this event hand to check in their 4th period and leave to the gym and go back to class for their 6th period class. Members and Officers played games with the and gave out the candy once they were done to the children. -Itzel Garcia
Monster Mash Dash On the Saturday before Halloween, Clovis West came out bright and early to the Monster Mash Dash race held at Woodward Park. We helped direct traffic, showed runners where to go and cheered them on. Kids and adults were dressed in cool costumes like Santa Clause, Spiderman and even T-rex. They even had some of the volunteers dress up in costumes! -Alyssa Rivera, Clovis West High School

Boo Grams From October 17th to the 21st, the Clovis High Key Club made and sold Boo Grams. Customers could buy and write a nice note to their friends or teachers. After the purchase, we’ll deliver the Boo Gram to the person’s fourth period class. Boo Grams sell for a dollar each and the money goes to Key Club. We use the money to pay for trips and to help us out financially. Boo Grams are lollipops that are decorated to look like ghost with a note. To make a Boo Gram you first wrap the lollipop with a napkin and tie a string around it. Remember to not tie the string too tight. Then you add some googly eyes and draw some cute features. Finally add a cute note. -Seraphina Yang, Clovis High School
Food Fair Clovis West Key Club had an opportunity to sell at school during lunch for Food Fair! After much brainstorm, we decided to sell some churros. We gathered at our president's house the day before to home-make the churros and the next day, members gathered to sell them. It was a great event not only to raise some funds but also to socialize with one another. -Alyssa Rivera, Clovis West High School

Hawaiian Senior Get Together Aloha, Key Club Members! On September 22, 2016, many of Liberty High School Key Club members joined our president Sarah Folsom at the wonderful Senior Center located in Madera, CA. These young students volunteered at this center and had a very amazing Hawaiian experience with all the senior around them, they even got to help at the Tiki Bar. Through the months of September to October, many members got together to support the senior center on their Hawaiian theme gettogether! High School members were amazed on the fact that they put smiles on every person at the Ranchos Madera Senior Center! -Rosario Duran, Liberty High School
Japanese Garden Clean Up Volunteering at one of our usual events, Clovis West once again sets out to the Shinzen Friendship Garden, also known as the Japanese Garden, on Oct 15th—this time with new faces! Volunteers wasted no time in getting started after greeting each other and the ladies who worked with us. We raked leaves, pulled weeds, trimmed plants and swept the grounds. It was a great event to enjoy the beautiful scenery, socialize among the peers and play with the ducks, all while helping the community! - Alyssa Rivera, Clovis West High School

December SOSP Focus 2016 is quickly coming to an end! This December, the Spotlight on Service Focus will be Providing Basic Needs. As the holiday season nears, we want to make sure that people in our community feel included and cared for. No matter what holiday you choose to celebrate this winter, lets work together to give back to those in our community who need help. SERVICE PROJECT IDEAS Homeless Care Packages Pack some boxes filled with basic sanitary supplies and canned foods! Don't forget to add some warm clothing for the chilly holiday season. Ask for donations from the community to collect these supplies!
Food Banks Look for any food banks near your location where you can volunteer! Food banks support people in your community. They are always welcoming help and a small amount of food donations can go a long way. School Supply Drive Not everybody has the luxury to receive all the basic school supplies they need, but you can help. Organize a school supply drive by spreading the word to the community!
