Message from your Lt. Governor Hello Corgis! I am hoping you all are starting off your summer with a splash! Are you looking for activities to do during this time? Feel free to let me know, I am constantly seeking events for the division to take part in, and would more than happily like for you to join me and your fellow Key Clubbers. Be sure to remind your club officers that this is the perfect time to start fundraising for Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP). These funds will be added up with the division to be donated during Fall Rally. If you have any ideas, share them and the Division Team can help spread the word as well as participate in the event. I wish you all a fun-filled and safe summer, and I look forward to seeing you soon!

Pawsing for service,

Meet the Division Leadership Team Hello, my name is William (Will) Cho. I am from Clovis West High School and have participated in a majority of the club's events.I look to bring a sense of community and a more enjoyable social aspect to this organization. This club should not only strive to aid the community but also indulge in the presence of others. This will attract the interest of our peers and help the club grow. Key club should be something individual seek, not feel obligated to. Fun Facts: 1.  I have moved a total of 9 times. 2.  I am a dog person, mostly because I'm allergic to cats. 3.  I have participated in cross country, volleyball and basketball in my high school career. 4.  Don't be afraid to approach me, I will usually find the time to help you in ANY situation, whether it be club-oriented or personal. I'm here to help. Hello hello! My name is Anna Yue from the home club of Buchanan High School, where I will be a junior. During my term, I hope to intensify interactions and strengthen connections both between and within clubs. Friends make one's involvement in just about anything so much more memorable, so I plan to help create an even stronger bond between all members. As for myself, after the usual load of homework, I enjoy playing musical instruments, reading the occasional good book, and just listening to my most recently discovered songs during my free time. Let's work hard and have a golden year together!

Service Coordinator: Maurice Frediere Communications & Outreach Coordinator: Andrew Kim My name is Maurice Frediere. My home club is Clovis North. As the service coordinator for the division, I want to spread information to as many members as possible about all service opportunities in our division. I believe in the concept of strength in numbers and I hope to grow our membership for each club to allow us to make a greater difference in our community. Lastly, I hope to bring our division together. I want Key Club to be an organization where our members can feel have a family where they will be cared for and supported throughout all aspects of life while giving back to a community that has shaped us into the volunteers and leaders we are today. Outside of Key Club I also volunteer with the special education program at Clovis North, at the Children’s Hospital of Central California, and compete in Mock Trial, robotics, and soccer. Hello, my name is Andrew Kim and I am a part of Clovis West Key Club. I have been in Key Club for two years now and I have enjoyed every second of it. Whether it was an event at 5 in the morning or an event that consisted of exhausting work, they were all fun to take part in along with my Key Club family. For this year, in my position in Club Outreach, I plan to go to as many Kiwanis meetings as possible in order to inform people of what our division has done. I want them to see that we're capable of making a change so that they would support our division financially. Also, I plan to work with the rest of the division team in order to make this year as best as prosperous as possible. Some of my interests include riding bikes, playing video games, and making friends. I look forward to a great year!

Spirit Coordinator: Young Park Fundraising Coordinator: Harrison Yu Hello fellow Key Clubers! My name is Young Park and I currently attend the Clovis North High School as a Junior now. I do like to play a couple sports that include soccer, tennis, and basketball in addition with playing the almighty League of Legends. I love to socialize and gather with friends and just simply have fun. I have many plans stored for our Key Club(s). With full dedication, I look forward to working with y'all as your spirit coordinator. From simple car wash fundraisers to large scale conventions, I wish to help improve our club standings and make our district the best as we can be. Speculating our potential and our skills, I believe that I will able to use all of your skills and help to effectively increase the numbers of our members and our spirit as team. Be ready for those DCM's and events because it's just about to get a whole lot more interesting. Go Corgis! Hello, my name is Harrison Yu and I am the treasurer for Clovis West Key Club. To me, volunteering not only gives me the feeling of accomplishment but it also gives me chance to bond with my friends and other members that I have never met or rarely talk to. It is a win win solution: helping out the community and making new friends. In my free time, I like to play League of Legends, hang out with friends, sit under the tree with a book in my hand, and lay on the grass to watch the beautiful Fresno night sky. For my term this year as a key club officer and as the fundraiser coordinator for the Division Leadership Team, I hope to promote fun and interactive fundraisers to raise money for a good cause. I also hope to be as approachable as possible to other members and be someone who they can talk to freely.

Pediatric Trauma Program

What is it? Every year, Key Clubs fundraise for the PTP to turn in during Fall Rally. The funds raised for the program is used in a multitude of ways including educating doctors on proper treatment to children and preventing trauma accidents amongst young kids.

How can I help? Join up with either your home club or division in raising funds. Come up with new FUNdraising ideas or stay safe and classic. Some ideas might include: •  Yard Sale •  Car Wash •  Selling Chocolate •  Working with another organization. Have ideas? Let your club president or Lt. Governor Kimberly Barga know! With summer approaching, fellow key clubbers and I cranked through a few hours of hard work under blazing yet acceptable heat from the sun. We directed parking, put up signs, arranged chairs, and readied dinner table. For this event, we weren’t the center of the attention, neither were the hundreds of parents gathered around the park. The spot light shined brightly on each Mclane high school student performer, as it was their student appreciation night. That night’s performer had no boundaries to separate them, whether they were jazz players, singers, orchestra players, bandos, or choir singers; on this night they represented the school not them individually. For us the volunteers, the job was simple; bring out dinner trays and make sure no certain dish runs dry before it is replaced. The night ended with us sitting under the Fresno sky eating, joking around, and listening to the variety of performances on the stage. On May 16, 2014, Clovis West Key Club volunteered at the San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust to assist with the McLane High School Ceremony. At the start of the event, we helped set up chairs for attendees of the service. Later on, Jesse (the director of the event) informed us of other tasks to work on from setting up dinner material to putting up signs. We also had the opportunity to meet other staff members and other students. During the event, we noticed that students would have artistic expressions in dance, rap, or poetic literature. We learned about their unique talents and backgrounds. Overall, this volunteer experience was one to remember and introduced us to another side of our community.

Thank you to for participating! Avena Cheng, Sophia Ma Terry Chen, Harrison Yu Carlene Christensen, Soly Lee Ms. Johns, & Kimberly Barga Waking up in the morning is not my favorite thing to do, but when it’s for Key Club, I never hesitate. When I arrived at the event, there weren’t many people there, and I didn’t know what to do. My Buchanan friends and I were sent to the main building, where we were put to work on laying out the quarters. My most fun part of the event in my opinion was cracking open the cylinders filled with quarters. Actually, meeting other people and chatting was also fun. I hope that the experience of all the people who attended this event was a positive one because it definitely was for me. This event was a great way to start out summer, and really “kick off” a multitude of summer events. Thank you to everyone who went to the event. I also hope that more members become active in Key Club, because Key Club events not only benefit the community, they also benefit you as an individual by building friendships. Have a great summer Key Clubbers and I hope to see you at more events!
