Swag Points - Introduction What are "Swag Points"? Swag Points are basically a point system used by Division 15 to determine which club in the division is going above and beyond regular club duties.

Why would I want them? At the end of the month all the points are tallied up and the winner is allowed to keep Jocelyn the Giraffe for one month to decorate! The club with the most points at the end of the year gets recognition at the end of the year banquet.

What can I get points for? Here's a list of some of the few ways your club can earn points: Early Bird MRF - 20 points On Time MRF - 10 points DCM attendance - 3 points (per person) Division Service Project / Event - 3 points (per person) *District Project / Service Partner Project - 15 points *PTP Project Fundraising - 20 points Kiwanis Meeting attendance - 5 points *Article Submission - 5 points (per extra article) *Visual Submission - 1 point (per extra visual) Summer Projects (Any Overall) - 5 points (per event) Task Coordinators - 5 points *Spirit item designs / cheers - 10 points Ice Breaker / Activities - will vary

Spirit Spirit Gear Hi D15! So far no club has been interested in designing: -Wristbands -Capes -Temporary Tattoos -Ears Designs for these items have been taken: Chino - Tails Upland - Tutus Rancho Cucamonga - Thunder sticks Claremont - Lanyards If your club would like to take the opportunity to create one of these items, please contact Jaguar at d15.cnhkc.ltg@gmail.com! :D

Important Note! For the clubs interested in taking charge of a spirit item, for now, please just find a cheap and reliable company to order from. It would be appreciated to have a comparison of prices, pros, and cons between companies. Please DO NOT ORDER any since the leadership team and I have not figured out how to approach making a spirit pack from these several different companies. Hope this addresses most of your questions and confusion. - Jaguar

Hey Giraffes? Do you want to win the spirit stick this Fall Rally? If so, we're taking any ideas *you* may have for new cheers! Feel free to include stomping or song lyrics to keep it memorable! (Hey, I just met you...)

Old Cheers We're giraffes, we're so fly, we have our heads up in the sky. G-I, G-I-R, G-I-R-A-F-F-E D-1-5, you know! Clap your hands, stomp your feet, move to the groove of the wild beat. D-1-5, D-1-5, D double D double D-1-5

New CNH Cheer! While we're on the subject of spirit and cheers, here's a new CNH cheer that was created at ICON 2011. You don't want no CNH, You don't want none, And if you want some CNH, Come and get some, And if you think you've got the juice, Watch, us, get, lose *stomp stomp* *clap* *clap* *stomp clap* *stomp stomp* *clap* *clap* *stomp clap* CNH *clap clap clap* Buzzing Bees *clap clap clap* What?

If you have an idea for an event, or would like to help out in some specific way (e.g. finding locations for the next DCM, creating a new service/fundraising event, or forwarding information from the CNH District) then apply to be a task coordinator! If you have any more questions on the specific duties of a task coordinator, feel free to contact Jaguar, Amy or Fahrin for assistance :) To all of those who applied and were not selected, don't be discouraged and continue to apply for other coordinator positions. The year is just starting and we're going to need a lot more help to make it super successful! :D

OTC Review

I can truly say that June 16th was a very memorable day in my life. Not only was it the first Training Conference I held, but it was also the first time I was able to unite with the division I serve in a spirit battle against 36W and 36E. I would like to say that Division 15 had completely dominated the OTC with over 54 attendees! I loved being able to finally meet all of the officers in person and I loved being able to represent the division as your Lieutenant Governor. I don’t think I could thank you guys enough for letting become your Lieutenant Governor. I hope that the experience was very enlightening and I hope that you will be able to use these skills for not only for Key Club, but also for other leadership opportunities as well. L-O-V-E! I LOVE DIVISION 15!! -Jaguar Jung

Region 13 Picnic

On Saturday, June 23 Region 13 really stepped it up with their first region event of the year. Beginning at 11AM in Butterfield Park, members were assigned awkward tasks ranging from taking pictures with D35W's LtG Serwoo Lim to singing "Call me maybe" with a group of at least 5 people. The day was sprinkled with tons of activities: Key Club trivia, relay races, awkward ice breakers, water balloon fights, awkward turtles, tribal dancing and of course: spirit battles. Although D15 lost to D35E in the final round, D15 brought to the table something no other division had - a new cheer. For all those that came, I hope you had a great time meeting people from both the division and the region. For all those that missed it, turn the page.

Upcoming Events Region 13 Beach Clean-up Having a nice summer? Well now's your chance to make it even better with this year's:

Introducing the second Region 13 event of the year, the Region 13 Beach Clean Up. The Beach Clean Up has become something of a tradition here in D15. If you've gone before, you know that there's a lot of crazy things going on: from people selling Spam Musubi to ice breakers involving *hundreds* of people. If you haven't, here's a chance to meet Key Clubbers from all across the region - D35E, D35W, D10N, and D10S. By the way, this is a great opportunity for a club fundraiser; just be sure to turn in the fundraising form *two* weeks before the event. :)

Some of you may have seen some of their officers around division events, but if you haven’t, please welcome them with a big hug! Or even ask them how they feel! They have had an amazing start for just being chartered in the month of May. I’m sure that Pomona will become an amazing and strong club with their officers leading the way. Los Osos’ Division Chair, Brandon Swan has been taking a strong initiative to to charter a Key Club Upland-Christian Academy. Their prospective president is Cassidy Koo and she has already attended our OTC! Already being one step ahead, the SWAG points competition only seems to get more competitive as they go.

Throughout the summer, we will be having spirit battles and a spirit rally to prepare for the day we win that spirit stick! But wait, how are we going to win without any new cheers? That is where YOU and YOUR CLUB comes in. Our division is always searching for new cheers so if you happened to make a new cheer, we will be more than glad to hear it!
