Lieutenant Governor’s Note! What’s Grazin Sheepies! We have officially met the halfway mark of the term and I am utterly shocked at how much progress we have made as a division! It feels like just yesterday that we started off the term as a new division but now we are close to developing into full bloom! Now that we have transitioned to in-person events, take this opportunity to really immerse yourself in events to experience the fruits of Key Club itself! I promise that it is so fun and there is something for everyone at events! DUESSS SEASON IS HERE! Membership dues are so important to KEY Club as it allows you to become an official member and help fund for amazing events like Fall Rally South! Be sure to communicate with your club officers to find out more information about membership dues so you are ELIGIBLE for exclusive events like Fall Rally South, DCON, and region events! Last but not least, I would just like to say thank you for all of your hard work this past quarter! We have smashed our quarterly goals at exceeding rates! Continue to be productive, involved, and hype as we are nearing Fall Rally South and more in-person events!
With sheepie love,
April Lonh D15S LTG 2021-22

CLUB UPDATES ELEANOR ROOSEVELT On Saturday August 7th, ERHS Key Club attended the D15S School Supply Drive! This took place at Riley Gymnasium at the Norco Community Center, and it was our first in-person event of the term! Partnering with Norco Kiwanis, members were able to fill backpacks for kids. To stay safe, masks were worn and key clubbers who attended filled out a Covid liability form. This event was a great opportunity for our members to get to know the people in their division and bond with them (in-person!) while doing something for a great cause.
CENTENNIAL
On September 3rd, Centennial hosted their very first in-person meeting of the school year, with over 60 members attending! During the meeting, we educated new members on what Key Club is and what we do as a club. We held the meeting in our advisor, Mrs. Burkes’ room. All of our members had a great time and learned a lot about our club, division, and general Key Club 101.
CORONA On September 10th of 2021, Corona Key Club had their first in person general meeting with members at 12:00PM. This meeting discussed the basics of Key Club such as dues, division merch and what our new shirts will look like this term, community service projects such as free rice, the levels of Key Club, our pledge, and introductions of each officer. We hope that every member feels comfortable and included in this meeting and enjoyed it!

NORCO Our first in-person meeting was held on September 7th. The classroom was filled with enthusiastic people ready to change our future for our community. We were excited to introduce our members to our hard working officers. The members were engaging with our presentation held by our president, Roxy Fisher. We provided our members with more information as to how our club will function and how to be more involved. In our meeting, we talked about our community service event for the week. Our event includes writing letters to elderly seniors. We think it is important to continue to include the seniors in our community and by writing letters, we can accomplish this goal. Our club planned on using a website to write the letters to be covid safe while we are still transitioning back to in-person events. We informed our members of future events we plan to have in-person. We would like to thank Ms. Marquez for her assistance in running the meeting and for her support. Overall, our first in-person meeting was a success!
SANTIAGO On August 6th the officer board from Santiago and the Circle City Kiwanians met at Graziano’s in Corona and had an afternoon filled with pizza, lots of laughs, and stories. The event went from 2pm to 4pm and we were able to introduce ourselves to the Kiwanians and get to know them and their stories! At Graziano’s we shared fun facts about ourselves and played a team building game where we had to build the tallest tower that could support the weight of a marshmallow and we could only use a piece of string, spaghetti, and tape! This game was so fun and a shoutout to my partner Mrs. Colville for helping me make one of the best towers I’ve ever seen! This event was so amazing and we hoped to bond with the Kiwanians and we definitely accomplished that goal. Through their stories and our stories we built a bond and 10 we hope to continue to grow that bond with our Circle City Kiwanians.

RECAP ON WHAT SPOS IS
UNICEF OVERVIEW
Spotlight on Service is a program created by the CNH Service Projects Committee to promote and encourage service initiatives across the district by providing monthly guides which showcase a new topic each month that will provide service project tips and ideas. This program provides opportunity for clubs to showcase their service events at a district level and have a chance to earn district recognition!
UNICEF was created in 1946 to bring emergency food and health care to children and mothers in countries devastated by World War II. Key Club and UNICEF have been partnering together for many causes, helping many communities around the world. Helping save children, combating iodine deficiency worldwide and HIV and AIDS in Kenya and Swaziland are just a few of the programs Key Club has supported. Key Club has been trick or treating for UNICEF since 1994, which has raised $7 million!
PROJECT IDEAS
EVENT IDEAS Costume Party Host a virtual or in-person costume party with your division/home club. You can play different games and even have a costume competition for merchandise. Have your trick or treat for UNICEF box ready for donations at these events to promote donations! SERVICE IDEAS Letter and Drawings for Children Write letters or draw pictures for children in hospitals. Optionally, you can make them Halloween themed! Educational Materials on UNICEF Create educational pamphlets, guides, and posters about UNICEF! Distribute them to your local libraries, schools, and other public establishments; this brings awareness of UNICEF. FUNDRAISING IDEAS Bingo Dates Create a Bingo Dare sheet for members and officers to participate in! PRESIDENT’S Centennial
Ellorie Mariano
Wassup Division 15 South! I hope you are all doing well. For the month of September, we have been focusing on recruiting members for our home club. Our Club Rush booth was very successful, garnering over 100 sign-ups! So far, we have already had two general meetings, which each had around 80 attendees. At our meetings, our members participated in fun icebreakers. We are excited to be back in motion! Our September service events include a Peppermint Ridge Run collaboration with Santiago, lei-making, and an on-going free-rice community service event. Lastly, our newly revamped website is about to be released soon!

Hey Key Club! We started the year off strong with club rush as well as our first general meeting! Our current service event is on readytocare.com, where we write letters to elderly citizens. It’s so exciting to see everyone in person and have the opportunity to meet together rather than online. I can’t wait to see everyone at the next NHS key club meeting!
Santiago
Nicole Hatton
Our club has put out multiple service projects. We have Peppermint Ridge which is an interclub service event with Centennial, positivity rocks, dog toys, and ptp infographics, and plantthepeace.com with Roosevelt where members can answer trivia questions. We had our first meeting on 9/15 and although we had technical difficulties getting our slides up, we improvised by sharing the slides on remind and having members follow along on their phones. We are still working on maybe having a fundraiser at a restaurant. We also have a lot of interested people in key club that are new. As for me, I have been participating in division events and president duties

HIGHLIGHT A
SHEEP
D15S Secretary
Sean Nguyen
My name Is Sean Nguyen and I’m currently the Division Secretary and a senior at Centennial High School. Some of my hobbies include skating, building Legos, and playing typing games. Listening to music is also pretty swag and some of my favorite artists are Wu-Tang Clan, BIBI, and Jaden. While music and skating is fun, my favorite thing to do on my free time is eat because food(especially fried chicken) is yum.
What motivates you to continue Key Club?
What motivates me to continue key club is being able to provide new members with great event that I got to experience where I also made many new friends and gained valuable skills.
What was your Key Club moment?
My Key Club moment was when I was at the region picnic is 2018 where I got to meet tons of new people since that was when I really learned how to socialize and network with people by reaching out of my comfort zone. This event also taught me how to break the ice with people and really just gave me an introduction to what key club was all about at its core.
