Editor 20192020

This is Joanne Ma, your LTG, again! I can’t believe another month has passed already. Through AP testing, finals, end of school, you all managed to stay on top of serving your communities and I cannot be more proud. There is so much more in store for you guys during the summer and I hope you take your time off school to further serve our community and attend more division and region events! This summer we have a OTC, a joint summer Olympics DCM with D15E and D15N, and our very first region event of the term, region 13 beach cleanup! I hope you all come out for these events and help raise funds for PTP while having fun. Please also remember to sign up for

VISUALS TOWNSEND EIGHTH GRADE DANCE Today I went to our local middle school and helped out at their end of the school dance. There were around 10 of us helping out. We helped put wrist bands on the eighth graders as they arrived at their dance, served food at their barbeque, made cotton candy and ice cones, cleaned up trash, and ensured no one brought food or drinks onto their dance floor. It was a nostalgic experience seeing as we had just went to this dance three years ago. My friends and I were in charge of putting on the wrist bands on girls and they were really friendly, making us feel fulfilled and happy to serve them. When the dance was in full swing, all of the volunteers walked around the dining area and picked up food and trash that the kids had left behind and also recycled any cans or plastic bottles. Overall I had fun going back to my middle school and helping out at their dance.

that I got to do it with my friends and the job wasn't too difficult. Although we spent several hours there, it only felt like 1 because it was that fun. I got to see some familiar faces as well when we gave out programs to people that came to the graduation. Overall, graduation ushering was a great experience and I had a great time. I would totally do this again!

pomona high installation night

Installation night was held on May 13th . Installation night is an event when upcoming officers are officially the new key club officers for the new year. Our installation night was also potluck style so we had every member bring food and drinks. Our table was filled with all kinds of food like wings, pasta, curly fries, ect. We invited our members and our staff. In total we had about 25 people show up. The new kiwanis president even showed up which was such an amazing moment that he took time out of his day to attend the event.

DCM RECAP

Early in the morning of June 15th, at the CNH District Office in Rancho Cucamonga, I attended my first Officer Training Conference. I had just become the d15s executive assistant and was eager to learn more about Key Club to better my division. I helped with registration, and it was nice to greet everyone at the door. The general sessions were chaoticbut fun and everyone there was so energized and kind. The presentations were also fun and informative. Our division fifteen north, east, and south ltgs were amazing; our guest ltg from division 35 east was so fun and hilarious. Each one of them was so kind and their presentations were all so different my personal favorite being the one about fundraising. Though it may not be the most entertaining topic the presenter made it really entertaining and it taught me the most. We also held our June DCM there, and it was great to see all the new and familiar faces in my division. Overall, the OTC was informative and fun. I especially enjoyed meeting people throughout the division 15 nes half of region 13. Its definitely an event I’d recommend and I can’t wait for the Region Training Conference in the fall.
