A LETTER FROM THE LTG Hello baby belugas! It's been a wild 2 months so far! With the May DCM and raising awareness for The eliMiNaTe Project to Officer Training Conference this past month, Division 15 South has shown nothing but an overwhelming love for service. I've already seen so much growth and potential from every single one of you, and I can only see far more greater things happening in this division for the months to come. This summer, I want you all to focus on your goals whether you are an officer or member. Think of ways to better serve your club or the community or plan a social to bond with one another! Don't forget to stay hydrated and beat the sweltering heat! Thank you all for making my term as your Lieutenant Governor one of the best so far! I'll always be here if you need me!

Townsend Junior High School 8th Grade Dance

Submitted by, Leo park

CHINO HILLS KEY CLUB On May 26, I volunteered at the Townsend’s 8th Grade Barbeque/Dance. I helped out at the event by assisting the leadership teachers, Mr. Murillo and Mrs. Noblett. What I specifically helped to do was help get all the food, snacks, and beverages out on the table for the 8th graders. As a group of volunteers, we helped to organize each food by its category and make it convenient for everyone. Other side jobs I helped with was putting back the chairs into rows after the event was done, taping down the floor into rows, and putting back the remainder of the food back into the storage room. I was able to help out the community because I was helping the school run their annual barbeque smoothly. Other officers that attended this event were Isabella Tan and Andreana Flores, and a bunch of other volunteers.

The Officer Training Conference/June DCM was an amazing experience. Over 100 Key Clubbers attended from Division 15N, 15S, 15E, and 36W! We began the day by splitting up into our DCMs. Then, we attended workshops led by the LTGs and DLT members. The workshops were very informative and fun, as well. Through this event, many were able to meet Key Clubbers from other divisions and make friends. For lunch, we had pizza and those who won the game during the General Session drank lemonade. This OTC was a huge success!

MAY DCM The DCM this month was super fun, but hot! Not many people attended, but it was around the time of testing. Anyways, on that hot morning, we did the monthly reports/updates on what each club has done. Then we went on a hike on a trail near our Chino Hills Community Center; we picked up trash too! At the top of the hill, the view was so pretty and the thought that there was going to be a lot of trash was wrong; there was barely any, which means people help out around the community and we made sure the hill was kept extra trashfree. At the end, we got lemonade in mini mason jars along with granola bars and it was so good! Andreana Flores (Chino Hills High School)
