A LETTER FROM THE LTG Happy October, belugas! Now that school has started for all of us, be prepared for one of the most exciting times in Key Club! Dues season, the induction of new members, and fall rally is upon us! That said, I hope you have all held your club fairs / club rushes and we're successful in recruiting new members! Let's make our numbers skyrocket this year! You all never fail to amaze me! Region Training Conference will be on Saturday, September 23rd at Cal Poly Pomona. I hope many of you will be able make this MAGICAL Harry Potterthemed event and join us for a day of training with our lionfish family! Keep up the service and keep up the spirit! Get excited as we approach the Fall season and enter a stressful yet exciting time. Our cheers will be released very soon, and our designs will be finalized and ordered soon as well. Stay tuned for that! Thank you all for making me the happiest lieutenant governor͞ it is still such an honor to be your LTG. I'm always here if you ever have any questions! Love, Michelle Ho

CLUB UPDATES:

Chino Hills High School

As the new school year has arrived, so has many new KEY CLUB MEMBERS! We are super excited to welcome new members into this new year of Division 15 South! To do that, we had CLUUUUUB RUUUUUSH!! This year’s club rush event was filled with tons of new students and returning members to sign up for our Key Club interest forms! We also were able to talk and answer question to many new individuals. Although club rush was 5 days long, we were able to fill everyday with candy, flyers and much more! In addition, it was a great event to see all the new freshmen arriving and being interested in what key club does and has to offer! We are super excited for this new year of Key Club and can’t wait for you to be a part of it!!

Club Rush is an event held each year at Don Lugo, so all students can have a chance to know which clubs are available on campus. Key Club, along with all other clubs, have representatives there who can talk about the club's significance and answer any questions the students may have. The students also have a chance to sign up for the club and get some flyers and other papers, which will inform them about meetings and other important information that will apply throughout the year. Club Rush is definitely the onetime students can truly find what they would like to participate in without being pressured to sign up for one specific club.

First Meeting On August 28th, Montclair High School’s Key Club held their first meeting of the semester. The club’s Officers were especially excited to meet the all the new members. It should be noted, that this meeting had an exceptional turnout, with more people come this year than the last. Key Club President, Marissa Solorzano, had a few words to share at the meeting, “ I sense a lot of opportunities and fun from this group.” Some goals that the Key Club Officers hope to accomplish this fall are: (1) Display large amounts of club spirit, (2) have all students participate in DCM by completing required hours, (3) and most importantly, have Key Club members give back to our community. With all the new faces, there are definitely endless possibilities for what Key Club can accomplish this school year!
