lieutenant governor' s note Hello Belugas! Thank you all for an amazing 2 months into the 201 8-201 9 term! I have learned and grown so much during these two months even without a DLT! I didn't expect this much support and response from my beautiful club presidents but every club is doing amazing even with the stress of AP testing and final! Thank you all for 260 hours of service already! Let's keep it up and keep fundraising for PTP and reach our goal of $1 ,000. Please embrace your new Division Leadership Team into your arms and please support them as much as you can. Please turn in on-time MRFs and on-time articles and visuals so we can strive to be the best division we can. You guys are almost done with school, so never give up and work hard until the end! Let's end this school year off with a bang and have an amazing summer of service and fun!
love,

CLUB UPDATES: Teacher Thank You Cards During the past week and so, key club members were asked to create thank you cards for the many teachers of our school. This was last week, ongoing to May 1 0, though there was an extra opportunity for those who had AP tests. That was because AP tests went onto past 2:50, and maybe even longer pass 3 pm for these APES students. While it was unfortunate that they couldn’t come today, they are able to go the next day on May 1 1 , which relieved many members of key club who couldn’t have the chance to come and get more hours. Now on May 1 0, Colony Key Club received many cards, and were still bringing them in, as we can add more for the 1 1 th. After counting them, I found out that we had received 70 cards! Not only were there a lot, there was a lot of beautiful art ranging from the use of markers and pens to printed art! It was nice to see that our members put so much effort into their work for our teachers, and I hope for more opportunities for our Key Club members to show off their art and do wonderfully.

CLUB UPDATES: Polynesian Luau
submitted by,
andreana flores
Chino Hills High School Helping out at our school’s Polynesian Club Luau was a great experience! I went with my two friends Andreana and Nathaniel and we had a really fun time together. Us three were assigned to serving our food to the event attendees. They were serving Hawaiian BBQ and we were all assigned to different stations (rice, chicken, pasta salad etc). Poly was also nice enough to let us volunteers eat for no charge afterwards. Furthermore, we also helped pass out brochures once the performances started in our large gym. We decided to stay for the performances and I’m really glad I did! I got to see a lot of my friends perform beautiful Polynesian dances and cheer them on! Overall helping at luau was a very pleasant, enjoyable experience and I highly encourage members to volunteer at this event next year!

CLUB UPDATES: Jump Spring Celebration
melanie manorat Ayala High School
The Jump Spring Celebration Event was an event hosted by Pre-Med Club, an active club in Ruben S. Ayala High School that allows students interested in the medical field a chance to experience it in high school. This all-day event on Saturday, April 21 was an event for the incoming freshmen and junior high students who are interested in the medical field. All students coming from different schools in different districts were welcomed to participate in order to learn more about the medical field. The Jump Spring Celebration event which provided a warm environment for incoming freshmen and junior high schoolers had been a great opportunity to learn more about the field that they were interested in. I am glad that Key Club was able to be a help in hosting this event, whether it was through a small task or a big one. Either way, every Key Club member must have felt proud to be a part of this event.

May DCM: Pie-TP I am so proud to say that the MAY DCM was a success! Our attedance was very high in comparison to last DCMs from less than ten to about 30 members and officers attending! The club presidents volunteered to get pied at the DCM by their club members and we raised almost $1 00 TO PTP! It was such a success and everyone had a good time meeting other club members within the division. To finish off, the Division Leadership Team for the 201 8-201 9 term was announced at the DCM! It was very fun and exciting and I believe it was super successful.
