Community Events Provided by Jeremy Lee Oani (ERHS) As the school year has progressed, the ERHS Key Club has continued to attempt to help the community in as many ways as we possibly can. For the past month, we were able to participate in various service events and some members even went to the aRT-TC 2021 event! One service event we participated in was a Serve Santa Maria event at Pioneer Park. At the event, we were able to plant trees to help the environment! Another event that we partook in was at the Chalk Festival in Old Town Orcutt! There, we basically just helped set up, clean up, help activities, and more. We also took part in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Event in which we helped raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease. The most recent service activity we were a part of was the Relay For Life event. Here we basically just helped facilitate the annual fundraiser which actually took place at the Santa Maria Speedway. We are also attempting to fundraise through Krispy Kreme BOGO cards which will really help our club here at Righetti. One of the big events that we were able to attend was the aRT-TC 2021 event. As implied by the name, it was art-themed and was very fun. We were able to meet more members across our region and also learned lots of info about leadership and just key club in general! We hope to continue this trend of constant service opportunities in which our members can attend! GO, WARRIORS!

Elks Rodeo Parade Provided by Nathaniel De Francia (PVHS) A service event that Pioneer Valley Key club decided to participate in was the Elks Rodeo Parade. This service event let members of our club decorate the Kiwanis float that was going to be flown throughout Broadway. This event let members connect with other Key Club members from around different schools while helping Kiwanis being represented throughout the community. After all the hard work the members did, they were able to participate in the parade and have a fun time. There were around 8 members in attendee from our school and there were many more from other schools. At the end of the day, it was a great experience for all to help and serve our community.
