How’s it going, Snow Leopards! I hope everyone had an amazing thanksgiving break! I can’t believe the year is almost over! It’s been amazing and fun working with the Division Leadership Team throughout this year. As News Editor, I’ve gained more experience on communicating with others as well as making new graphics corresponding to a theme for each monthly newsletter. I hope to include more graphics and making each newsletter unique for the months that come. I encourage you all to set a goal for the upcoming year, and hopefully by the end of next year you will have made progress or reach that goal :) Most importantly, don’t forget to find ways on getting more involved in your club! Our monthly newsletters are always in need of articles and visuals, so don’t be afraid to submit one in! I also congratulate those who have submitted their college applications and wish the best to you all! In this issue of Leaping into the News, you will read more about how the DLT members are doing in their positions, articles from your division, and recaps. Happy Reading!

Serving with Gratitude,

2021-2022 News Editor

Happy Holidays, Snow Leopards! I hope you’re all doing well during the holidays! December is a busy month for us all with the year quickly coming to a close. The early and on-time deadline for dues is December 1st! Hopefully, each of your clubs have submitted dues by the deadline. Please keep in mind that new members are always welcomed to join Key Club and submit their dues until the end of the term! Invite your friends to a Key Club meeting or service event, this may just spark their Key Club journey! As we approach the end of 2021, it is nearly time to elect the next Lt. Governor! This year’s Candidate Training Conference (CTC) will be held on Saturday, December 18th from 9am-4pm at the Burbank Boys & Girls Club in Burbank, CA. CTC is open for anyone interested in learning more about the duties and responsibilities of being LTG as well as the election process. If you are interested, make sure to sign up! I look forward to seeing the future leader of our Division. I’m also excited to invite you all to our December DCM happening on December 19th from 1:00-3:30pm in Santa Maria CA. We’ll be having a potluck and many activities for everyone to enjoy! Make sure to spread the word and invite your fellow key clubbers. It’s hard to believe that the term will be ending in 4 months! I’m so proud of all the accomplishments we’ve had and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what else D24/29 will do. Let’s finish off the year strong! As always, don’t hesitate to contact me if you ever need anything! I’m more than happy to talk to you! See you soon, Snow Leopards! :)

Leaping through Service,

2021-2022 Lieutenant Governor

Hello Everyone! It’s the holiday season and things are going well for so many of us! As Thanksgiving approaches, I would like to give thanks for all of the hard work each and every one of you had put in this year to ensure that our division stays active! We had our October DCM which was a blast and that was in my very own hometown of San Luis Obispo! Our club has been working on some virtual activities and we cannot wait to help serve over break at our local food bank! Keep up the good work Snow Leopards!

2021-2022 Executive Assistant

Hey Snow Leopards! As we approach the end of the year, reflecting back we have accomplished a lot as a division! I am very thankful for having the opportunity to serve as your executive assistant and be part of the division leadership team for 2021 and I am more than ready for 2022 and for what holds for our division in the future. I have been planning DCM’s along with our division team and have been contacting club officers and advisors. I have also been gaining a lot experience through these months in how to become a better leader! I have had the opportunity to also meet many members in the DCM’s which has been amazing because I get to interact with them and get to know them better. I wish all of you snow leopards some very happy holidays so you guys can spend with your loved ones and I’ll see you guys next year!!! P.S. – Don’t hesitate to reach out, I will still be available if you guys need anything.

Hello Key Clubbers! The holiday season is on its way, offering many opportunities for us to give back to our communities. I look forward to seeing what activities everyone engages in and highlighting the amazing work you do. I also am happy to provide any Key Club with help on finding opportunities that interest them, as I am sure everyone on the DLT is. Keep up the great work and happy holidays!

2021-2022 Media Editor

Hey there Division 24/29! I can’t believe it’s almost been a year since I was elected to be a part of the Division Leadership Team which has been SO FUN! I’ve had such a great time, especially when I met with other Key clubbers from different clubs in our area. I just wished we could have experienced everything that COVID has sadly limited us from, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I did not enjoy the time I spent with all of you! Now I only hope to meet more and more people in Key Club, especially the key clubbers from Atascadero, which is why I have been anticipating having a DCM there! At last we will be having our DCM there for November’s DCM! I hope and wish all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving and keep up the lovely work you all have been doing :D

Hey Snow Leopards! As the school year continues, we are planning our first division fundraiser! We have decided that we will be fundraising with Chipotle. The date is yet to be determined, but we will have one location in SLO at Madonna Rd, and one location in Santa Maria at Betteravia Road. Awaiting further information/ approval. A third of all proceeds from Key Clubbers will go toward division funds! Stay tuned for future updates on division fundraising!

2021-2022 Fundraising Coordinator

Hey Snow Leopards! Currently, I am involved with the volunteering opportunities here at Santa Maria and at Key Club, so I have been active with volunteering lately. I want to improve on my hours with that and participate more in the club so I can do what's best for the community. I am also excited for this next DCM!!!

Rodenberger Trash Clean Up Provided by Jeremy Lee Oani (ERHS) Now being fully into the fall season, the ERHS Key Club has continued to try to attempt to help our community in as many ways as we could! As a club, we have participated in many different service events that have allowed our members to get their service hours up and also just to help out with the community in general. We were able to give our members three different service opportunities this month with another being this Saturday. The first we did, was a park cleanup at our local Rodenberger Park in which a number of members just attended to clean up the park. The second service event we did was the Toys for Dogs! Service event. In this, we basically just created dog toys for local animal shelters using old t-shirts! The third service event we were a part of was the Letters of Love Service event. In this, we all met up at Waller Park and created various letters for the elderly! Our next service event will be this Saturday in which we will be doing another trash cleanup. This time it will be on Biscayne and Battles Road as we have been informed that there has been an increase of litter and trash on those two streets. We hope to continue our duties as key club in which students at ERHS are able to help out their community as much as they can!

Día De Los Muertos Event Provided by Nathaniel De Francia (PVHS) A service event that Pioneer Valley Key club decided to participate in was the Día De Los Muertos event at the Veteran's Memorial Center in Santa Maria This service event let members of our club help set up certain activities that were being held, set up the scenery, and watched over the event to see if everything was going smoothly. After all the hard work the members did, everyone who went to attend the event had a great time. There were smiles and laughter everywhere. There were around 15 members in attendee from our school and there were many more from other schools. At the end of the day, it was a great experience for all to help and serve our community.

October DCM Recap Provided by Finn Westley (SLOHS) Our last Division Council Meeting was on October 24, at Meadow Park in SLO. Our division came together to play icebreaker games and learn about events going on at other clubs. The club, advisor, and member of the month were also announced. The meeting was sadly cut short because of the rain, but everybody still had a phenomenal time! There are images of some of the activities below. We hope to see you next time!

Introduction We are proud to introduce the CNH Member Survey. This is a form we hope all members will fill out this term with the help of division and club officers. Its intent is for us to gain a better understanding of who makes up our mighty district, what you all like about Key Club, and what you all feel could be improved. This form is also anonymous to promote truthful responses.

Importance We cannot stress how important it is to fill out this form! Without filling it out you are removing your voice from deciding the future of the CNH District. This is because we want and need to hear your opinions so that we can better improve the club for this term and future terms. The form only takes minutes to full out but its impact will last for years so do not forget to fill it out!
