MY FINAL MESSAGE
Hello Koalas, This will be the last and final newsletter for the 2014-2015 term and concludes this year’s Volume 5 addition of “The Koalaty Times”. It’s been a blast serving as your Division News Editor, if the time permitted I’d never want to quit but as they all say “good thing must come to an end”. I must commend you all for your dedication and love for this division and organization this past term. Seeing the growth in each and everyone of you makes the Division Parliament of Queen Reyes term know that our job was succeeded. In this last April Newsletter you will find the newly installed Lt. Governor for Division 25 East Tyler Kowta’s message to the division and as well our beloved IP Lt. Governor Monica Reyes, this is her last and final message to the division! Moving on you’ll find the division news where you will see the newly appointed Division 25 East Parliament of King Kowta’s term alongside upcoming events, Lt. Governor Tylers goals and much more. You will see the members who earned KOTM, OOTM, and COTM. Finally to finish off this newsletter we have the heartfelt messages from our peers written to members who they believed have impacted their growth throughout this term. Koalas thank you for believing in me, without your support and love for what I do best I wouldn’t of gotten recognized as Distinguished News Editor on stage at District Convention 2015. It’s been a great year and I can’t wait for what the next DNE Amber Huynh will provide for you all. Signing off for the final time, Coddy Anthony Ramos IP Division 25 East News Editor

Aloha Koalas! I hope you are all having an amazing spring break! Thankfully, “Service never takes a break!” –Alina De Castro. I hope you are all relaxing with your friends and family, or you may just be watching Netflix on the couch by yourself. Either way, I hope that each and every one of you take this time for yourself. There are so many things to look forward to this term and I am happy to announce that our next DCM will be a joint DCM with Division 16S and 25W. I hope all of you are looking forward to this DCM because it is another opportunity to be bonding with our Region 7 Ohana. There will be numerous activities at Balboa Lake Park but we would also like to hear what you would like to do as well! If you have any ideas about what you would like to do at this DCM, please feel free to share your ideas with me! I believe that June is the long awaited month for Division 25 East! We will be having our banquet as well as the Run or Dye service event! I hope all of you can make it to both of these amazing events to have a koala-ty time with your division Ohana! This is just the start of an amazing year! I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you at service events, fundraisers, and DCM’s. This year, I challenge YOU to BEE more active in order to strive as a division. By doing so, we can BEE recognized as a division with more service hours, more members, and more money raised for PTP and Project Eliminate. I BEE-lieve that we can save more children, mothers, and babies during this term together! If you have any questions during this term, please feel free to contact me at any time!

final message
Hello Division 25 East,
I hope you all had the time of your lives at District Convention 2015! Now that the term has officially come to a close, I want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of my journey. It was a very emotional weekend for many of us. Although I am sad that I am now retired, I am excited to see what great things the division will accomplish next year. My term has been a seemingly never ending road of work, emotions, and challenges. But even when times seemed unbearable, I have always had the love and support of the division to keep me going. I want you all to understand the impact you have made on my life. I am a better leader, but more importantly, a better person because of all of you. Division 25 East, you gave me the best years of my life. I will always cherish the time we spent together. The impression you left on me will stay with me as long as I live, and possibly even beyond that. I love you all so much. Through all our accomplishments such as the total hours of service, donations to Pediatric Trauma Program and the Eliminate Project, and almost winning the Spirit Stick at Fall Rally South, I am most proud of all of you. We can choose define ourselves with our statistical accomplishments, our percentage of membership increase, or even our contributions to PTP and Eliminate. Defining ourselves in those ways would be a great way to encapsulate our individual potentials. We were able to change lives! But I choose to define the division by the impact we have each made on each other. Look around you. There are people you love sitting right next to you. They are people who love you for who you are. The people who see the good, yet understand the bad. They are the people who have been there for you through your Key Club journey, and possibly even through a majority of your high school life. They are Division 25 East. Love each other, inspire each other, and cherish each other. Whether you know it or not, you have made a positive difference in someone’s life. It could have been the 2nd grader you read to at Everybody Reads, or maybe even the person whose gift you wrapped in front of Toys R Us. It could even have been the mother and child who received the MNT vaccine, the vaccine that you helped fundraise for. There are a number of people who won’t go out of their way to tell you how much your actions have positively influenced their life. And then there’s me. Members of Division 25 East, you have changed my life and I am grateful for every single one of you. You have made my challenging experience as a teenager worthwhile. You have given me purpose. You have provided me with an opportunity to serve. You have given me a sense of self-worth. Thank you, Koalas. I love each and every one of you. Whether you’re continuing your high school and Key Club journey next term or moving on to great things after graduation, never forget how this organization made you feel. Continue accomplishing wonderful
Forever yours in Koala-ty Service, Monica Reyes D25 East Lieutenant Governor 2014-2015

DIVISION Family. It’s a single word that perfectly defines my last year with Division 25 East. Family starts in the home (or in this case the home club), so I’d like to start off by thanking Monroe. From calling Fong a “superstar” to picking on John to coming up with vicious cheers, Monroe has transcended all expectations and become such a supportive and proud club. Every member brought a smile to my face, and nothing made me happier than watching them fall in love with Key Club. Next is my fellow D25E Presidents. We were young and naïve, but now we’re old and bitter. Throughout this year, we supported each other in our own ways. We became a team determined to serve members and make fun of Thang. Even now, we’re still supporting each other through this period of “irrelevance.” You all will always be relevant to me. Families have a strong leader, and that was Monica. She has always been there to cheer on and celebrate everybody in the division. Through the highs and lows of this term, Monica was the inspiration of this division and one of my personal inspirations to keep serving. Finally, I’d like to thank the whole family: the division. To every school and every individual member, knowing that I have you to call my Ohana is something that makes me so proud. My Saturdays consisted of collaborating and serving alongside all of you at events, fundraisers, and DCMs, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. To all of the graduating seniors: go on and carry the spirit of D25E. And to everyone who still has time with this division: celebrate it and make this family even stronger. You are all koalafied to be mighty leaders. -Kayla Gonzalez
Everyone in Division 25 East has helped me grow so much and I've met so many people. I love every single one of you and you all changed my life forever! Farewell to all the old term officers and Seniors I really hope I had more time with you. Everyone in this division no matter how close we are has showed me one thing: Key Club isn't just a 'club' or an 'organization', its a WAY OF LIFE that I now live by and I hope everyone has a bright future using the experiences we learned in Key Club. I hope all you fellow Koalas had a good 2014-2015 term. BRING ON THE 2015-2016 Term! -Jay Velasco Hello Division 25 East, As my final Key Club year is ending, many memories are still in my head: Fall Rally, DCON, fundraisers, service events, etc. It would be so hard to perfectly describe this year. I'll definitely miss everyone and everything involved with this term. Honestly, this year has been one of the greatest years of my life, and I want to thank everyone for being a part of it. Thank you for all your support! All the accomplishments, events, etc. would not have been possible without you all. Serving with Division Parliament, I had such a blast! I've gained so much experience, knowledge, and friends. Anyone thinking of applying in the future should take that opportunity to serve. -John Camara
Hello to all of my lovely Koalas! I just want to say that this past year has been a wonderful experience. All of these memories will forever be in my heart. All of you guys are so precious. All of you guys are my family. Without being a part of this BEE-autiful green division, I wouldn't be the person today. I never realized how beautiful the color green and how adorable koalas are until now. Division 25 East, you all are perfect and amazing. I am thankful to work along your side as a member, friend, and family. -Clare Kanchana
coddy ramos
Hello Coddy! I know that we never really talk to each other, but I’m honestly so glad to have met you. Last year in June, I remember at a fundraiser after OTC that you told me to apply for your job, DNE. I was so new to everything and my club publications weren’t so great in my view. However, you were able to bring my spirits up and tell me how good of a job I was doing. I don’t know if you were just saying that, but your words allowed me to work hard at being tech editor. You are the the start of why I’m running for DNE. Without your encouragements that one time, I would not be the key clubber that I am today. I regret not talking to you as much as I wanted to. Even though it may not seem like it, I looked up to you. You’re such a friendly, amazing person. Thank you so much for everything! I really hope you have fun at college and do well. - Farewell Coddy!
Hey Buddy, Coddy Ramos is the greatest DNE in the whole world. His newsletters are beautiful and all his pictures make everyone look like super models!!! I have fallen in love with Key Club because of every single individual. No matter who you are, what you did, you inspired me to love every single thing about Key Club. I love waking up early in the morning to serve our community. Everything we have done, has currently changed the world. It is be effectively changing someone elses' life with the money we are raising. I wouldn't want to be in any other organization because it truly is BEEutiful. This past DCON had made me our bond a lot stronger, we are truly a family and made these amazing experiences and opportunities unforgettable. -Anonymous

THANG DIEP & MUTHIA FAIZAH Thang, I really wanted to tell you before you left that seeing how much you loved Key Club sparked something in me.
