LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR DIVISION NEWS CLUB RECAPS CLIMBING ON UP CONTACT INFORMATION

DIVISION NEWS EDITOR

Hello Koalas, G-Double O-D JOB Good Job! Not only were we one of the smallest divisions but we also made it into the top 3. It was so inspiring to see all of your Koalaty members at Fall Rally 2014. I can’t express how much I am proud to be a koala, we’re small in numbers but together our might can be seen throughout the world. I hope you all had a great time at one of the biggest district event, maybe you met a new face or reconnected with old faces no matter the fact I hope you left Six Flags with a smiling face and a passion for service. Now onto the newsletter, in this month’s newsletter you will find updates within the division, what is going on with clubs through their club recaps, division award winners for the month of November, and much more! Signing off for now, Coddy Anthony Ramos Division 25 East News Editor

Monica Reyes

Lieutenant Governor Hey Koalas!

Fall Rally 2014 was a huge success! Division 25 East managed to raise $3,000 for Pediatric Trauma Program, make it into the second round of the spirit session, and buy Lt. Governors Joseph Ko and Joshua Nuesca, along with District Treasurer Darin, and District Governor Jacqueline Tsang! I am so incredibly proud of each and every single one of your efforts to make November 15, 2014 a day to truly remember. I hope we continue to work this hard and remain spirited throughout the remainder of the 2014-2015 term. Elections season is just around this corner. As we prepare for club elections, Conclave, and District Convention, reflect on each of your individual passions for Key Club. In this time of electing the new officers of the next term it is very important, especially for the candidates to remember why you joined Key Club in the first place. Channeling the love you feel for the organization will help you best serve the members. When elected, remember why you ran in the first place and stay humble throughout your term. I would like to thank you all once again for working extremely hard to fundraise for such worthy charities. The funds the division received in the first half of the term went to Pediatric Trauma Program. We ended up raising $3,000 for those children in need. Funds received for the remainder of the term will go towards the Project Eliminate. Let’s strive to match our PTP donation and give $3,000 to help pay for vaccines to save a mother and all her future children. It cannot be stressed enough how proud I am of the division I serve. You all continue to inspire to me to serve as the best Lt. Governor I can be. Without your constant support, along with the tear-provoking cheer “L-O-V-E we love our LTG” I and continuously reminded that I serve the greatest members. Every service event you attend, every fundraiser you hold, and every step out of your comfort zone for the sake of Key Club truly takes my breath away. Keep on shining Division 25 East. You are my inspiration. Monica Reyes Division 25 East Lieutenant Governor

lt. governor remarks

division news

I am indescribably proud of each and every single one of the members of the division. We raised $3,000 for Pediatric Trauma Program. That’s amazing! Through all your hard work and efforts we are changing lives, one dollar and one fundraiser at a time. In addition, Division 25 East made it into the second round of the spirit session. We are one of the smallest divisions in the first round so it was incredibly amazing to see that such a small division could advance to the second round. Your spirits and enthusiasm for Key Club is so amazing. We have been recognized by the District Executives when they chose us to move on to the next round. Apart from the spirit session, Fall Rally was amazing experience. We saw some old faces and some new faces. We gave out free hugs and screamed at the top of our lungs, not to mention all the pictures we took that day. We will fondly remember those memories and smile at the words “Fall Rally.” Thank you for making this Fall Rally a memorable one for all of us. I have nothing but love and pride for the division I serve. S-U-P-E-R, superstars are what we are!

C A ID S W A L K L E V Vice President Aram E L OFFICER TRAINING A CONFERENCE N D Aids Walk was a fun but tiring experience. We had to walk 6.2 miles, but it wasn't all that bad. I got to walk with my friends and even meet some new ones. The time really ew by because it was a pretty fun experience. After the event was over, we all went to go chill in the stores nearby. If I could, I would deďŹ nitely do it again.

“Hey y’all! This month was very successful for our club, it was filled with so many fun service events like helping out with a haunted house at Northridge park, AIDS Walk, Balboa Family Math Night, Beckford Trunk-or-Treat, and much more! Our new members are also so involved and enthusiastic to attend events, and it really warms my heart to see them build a passion for Key Club. We have so much planned for next month, so stay tuned koalas!”

Kennedy RUN OR DYE Memorial Day, Kennedy key clubbers got to experience the world’s most colorful 5k! Run or Dye was certainly one of the most enjoyable runs that Kennedy has ever done. We had the opportunity to paint each other and the sky. In the end we cleaned up the running pathways and got treated to some free Run or Dye gear.

Reflections “Summer has just begun but that doesn’t

mean the service stops! This term we have so many exciting service events planned for our members to participate in. Color Run one of the events the members (including the board) are super ecstatic about! We also started to sell our koala wristbands again, which is one of many beneficial fundraisers to come. I can hopefully show that service doesn’t have to be boring but also fun. This way as a club we can gain more members!” Jesse Gonzaga, Club Vice President

Operation Gratitude: At this event, which Monroe Key Club has done multiple times, we made care packages that were sent to troops all over the world. Fill the Truck: At this event Monroe Key Clubbers assisted the Northridge Kiwanis with their annual clothing drive.

Officer Reflection: During the past month Monroe served 400 hours of community service, which is a personal best for the club! Seeing so many new members (especially the freshman) fills me with so much joy because I can see a bright future for Monroe. We are constantly striving to better our community and raise funds, and although it is hectic at times, every event and fundraiser reminds me why I love Key Club and Monroe so much. Personally, one of the most rewarding things I have experienced this month is watching the new members fall in love with service. Having members tell me about their developing love for Key Club is an incomparable experience. Monroe also had an amazing experience at Fall Rally; it was filled with spirit and memorable moments. With elections looming, I am constantly striving to serve Monroe to the best of my abilities and hopefully leave an impact worth remembering, because this club has surely impacted me.
