ltg's welcome
Spittle Drizzle Lavender Llamas!Â
I hope you are all doing well and I am missing each of you all more and more as the days go by! Now that school has officially ended, I encourage you all to use this time towards Key Club! Remember that we are serving our community all year round so make sure that you are using this time to attend service events and fundraisers. Don't forget to bring your friends to events as serving our community is much more fun when you do it with others! I strongly encourage you all to set your goals for the rest of the term! How many hours do YOU want to have by the end of the term? How many new people do you want to meet at events? How would YOU make our division better? Keep it simple! A goal could be as simple as wanting to introduce yourself to someone at an event! As we officially approach summer, take this time to explore! Shoot your shot to the person you've had a crush on, read a new book, start baking or cooking, do anything! Don't let your fear determine how far you'll go and always remember that you have all of us to support you! Please stay safe and never forget that it is always a good day to serve others! See you at our July DCM <3 Happy reading and I hope you enjoy this month's division newsletter!

Let your LIGHT shine, Jarlene Clavido Division 2 South Lieutenant Governor 2020-2021
Spittle Drizzle Llamas! Thank you for taking interest in the second issue of "The Llama Legends" this term! Summer is here and even though all we wish to do is to go out and hang out with our friends, we just have to convet all that energy to spending time by yourself at home. With all the uncertainty in the world, we still have to understand that we have strength in numbers and change comes within yourself. Remember that Key Club is still underway during the summer and continue to serve your community in creative ways. Let's stick together during these times and continue to grow and develop. With a Passion to Serve, Claire Liang Division 2 South News Editor 2020-2021

members of Euvin Chiu ALAMEDA Euvin has been an active member in our community even since COVID-19. Given our circumstances, he has continued going to division events such as the May DWS and DCM. He has been keeping in contact with our board members and going to general club meetings. I believe Euvin has contributed to our club by being an active member who has only spread positivity.
Brian Tran ARROYO We chose Brian to be the club's member of the month because he is active in participating in club meetings and dcm's.
Crystal Huang KIPP KING She has shown dedication to club, by still doing the events at home. By doing the events at home even though there aren't many events demonstrates how dedicated she is. Issue 2 | Page 12

For the month of May, San Leandro Key Club successfully held 2 service events, 1 bonding event and 2 fundraisers. Those service events being the Dog Toy Making and FreeRice program. Both officers and members actively participated in the FreeRice event. We also were able to host both Livestream for members to meet the new DLT members as well as a bonding Pen Pal event with Division 36. There is also a Bingo Fundraiser for PTP and D2S Bracelet fundraiser that is still going on via our Instagram account.
san lorenzo Although we weren’t able to have events or meetings in person, San Lorenzo still found a way to get community members involved with our events this month. We have been actively sharing posts on our social media accounts to inform people of current service events and encourage them to participate. This month we had 4 at home events and virtual events including our May DCM! For June we hope to have even more events and fundraisers!

service at home v2 For the month of May, we continued our Service At Home Event. The event consists of making food for your family, cleaning around your home, video calling with friends and family, emails of appreciation to your teachers & essential workers, and last but not least making infographics for your favorite cause. We decided to continue the Service At Home event because we wanted our Key Clubbers a chance to do service enough though we are stuck in these tough times. Some of our Key Clubbers had noodles for their family to eat. Additionally, there is a member who sent an email of appreciation to one of her teachers. A member had also done chores around their home with folding clothes. With this service event it gives our members a great opportunity to help people out during these harsh times.

may submission Since it was May, and many people were still at home due to the shelter in place order, LPS Hayward Key Club decided to host a service at home event. LPS Hayward believed that by having members participate in the service event, many members would be active and would have their time occupied which would, in turn, keep many members from becoming bored and would also keep member's minds off the virus. The service at home event was a success since we had 12 members participate in the event and between those twelve members, the club was able to award those members 60 community service hours collectively. The event lasted from April and followed through into May and even though the event had started in the month of April, it didn't die down, instead, it got more popular since it was able to accumulate 60 hours for its members.

masks for may This month we were still working through quarantine and this pandemic. San Lorenzo wanted to find a way to help our community members stay safe during these uncertain times. We held a “Homemade Masks event where we taught people how to make masks from things they probably already had at home such as t-shirts, bandanas, and even paper towels! We asked people to send in pictures of them if they tried out these homemade masks when they went out. This event was meant to ensure that anyone who went out had a mask to wear so we could all do our part in keeping the people around us safe!
