ltg's ltg's welcome welcome

Happy Valentines Llamas! I hope you are all doing well! It is finally the month of sharing love with others so make sure you send a little message to all the special people around you :) We only have a few newsletters together but I want to thank you all for giving me the chance to share a piece of word with you every month. Now that we have our next LTG elected, I hope you are all excited to work super hard for the last few months of the term. Our journey together has been an amazing one so far and although I won't be here to watch all of your bright lights shine even brighter next year, I know you will do great! Ending this on a happy note, please remember to stay inside and use proper precautions when going out so we can see each other soon! This concludes my short note for you, happy reading and I hope you enjoy this month's division newsletter! Let your LIGHT shine, Jarlene Clavido Division 2 South Lieutenant Governor 2020-2021 Issue 3.9 | Page 4

editor's editor's note note

Hey Division 2 South Llamas! Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing well! Can you believe it's already February? I'm sad that the term is coming to an end but super excited for what you all are going to do next year. Now that we have officially selected our LTG elect, we are slowly transitioning into a new term. We only have a couple more months together but we can definitely make the most of it by continuing to do service and staying active in our division; it's the home stretch! In no time, we will all be celebrating all our accomplishments we have rightfully earned. I hope you enjoy reading this month's newsletter (personally my favorite by far, I'll see you in the next one! :) With a PASSION to Serve, Claire Liang Division 2 South News Editor 2020-2021 Issue 3.9 | Page 5

members of of the the month month members Brian Tran ARROYO We chose this member to be our club's member of the month because he has participated in the service events offered in the month of December.

Melissa Manafy KIPP KING

We choose her as the MoM because she remains consistent whenever we hold events. Despite being new she attends social events and socializes with other people she may not know. She always attends and participates in events when there are.

Megan Ky SAN LEANDRO We chose Megan because of her consistency in doing service. Despite of the lock down, she still finds a way to do service which is by doing charity miles. Issue 3.9 | Page 10

officers of of the the month month officers Glendon Thai ARROYO We chose this officer to be our club's officer of the month because he has stayed consistent in making sure there are service events for each month.

Cindy Kwok KIPP KING

She is the OoM because she keeps our club very organized and tells us what we are missing if we do have any. She is constantly reassuring that we are on the right track. Since she tracks everything she knows what we still need to do or improve on!

Jessica Ma SAN LEANDRO

We chose Jessie Ma because of her dedication. She has been consistent in making graphics and updating our website which is not easy to do at all. Issue 3.9 | Page 11

Ornament Making! In the month of December, we hosted an ornament making event with San Lorenzo. In this event we bond with watching Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Also we had a fun time making some ornaments. Some of the ornaments that were made during the event were some christmas trees, some stars, and more. This was a great event because we had the opportunity to bond with Key Clubber from other clubs while watching Harry Potter, also having a fun time making some ornaments.

December Submission Happy New Year from LPS Key Club, For the month of December 2021, LPS Key Club was able to host a slew of events, some of which were new events and some of which were continuation events. A new event that LPS Key Club was able to host alongside LPS interact was a free rice competition event. Alongside the new event, LPS Key Club was able to host three continuation events, one of which was a Free rice event, where students would be able to donate rice by answering questions right; this event had five members participate who collectively were able to raise 19 hours. Another continuation event that LPS had was a Charity Miles event, in which every mile a club member ran, walked, or biked would equal one service hour. For this event, LPSKC had two members participate and raise 20 hours collectively. The third continuation event that LPS Key Club had was BeanBeanBean, and it had a total of five members participate and was able to raise 17 hours.
