Design / Build project of a new Aerospace Laboratory for the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico Orlando Campus. The new laboratory consists of a test jet engine, autonomous vehicle research studio, supersonic and subsonic wind tunnel. The building structure consists of CMU and steel joist, with an exterior stucco and storefront exterior façade.
FLORIDA SOUTHWESTERN STATE COLLEGIATE HIGH SCHOOL ADDITION
This one-story addition to Florida Southwestern State Collegiate High School is an impressive project that features stateof-the-art wet and dry laboratories, spacious classrooms, a modern cafeteria, and flexible meeting rooms. The facility also includes a warming/serving kitchen, allowing for convenient and efficient food service. To enhance the outdoor experience, the project is equipped with a beautifully paved courtyard, providing an inviting space for students and staff to enjoy.
The facility is designed and constructed to minimize the environmental impact, improve energy efficiency, and promote healthy indoor air quality, among other sustainable features. The addition of security fencing and site work adds another layer of protection and functionality to the project, ensuring the safety and security of all those who utilize the facility.
AVE MARIA, FL
AVE MARIA UNIVERSITY
This project included a continuing contract agreement with Ave Maria University to continue service works at various AMU buildings, including soffit repairs, roofing repairs, and acoustical wall panel repairs.
HENRY FORD COLLEGE
DETROIT, MI
This project included renovation and interior work on existing Henry Ford College - M Building. Work included two separate locations within the college and focused on updated and upgrading the interior fixtures and finishes.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE IN EDUCATION
BABCOCK HIGH SCHOOL
This project is an exciting addition to Babcock Ranch, America’s first solar-powered town located just northeast of Fort Myers. The innovative 39,000-square-foot charter high school is designed to inspire learning and creativity, with flexible and adaptable spaces that meet the evolving needs of students and educators.
The school features 24 spacious classrooms that are filled with natural light, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for learning. Additionally, the high school includes academy support spaces and AICE labs, which offer advanced learning opportunities to students.
Administrative support spaces are also a key component of this project, providing a centralized hub for staff and faculty to manage the day-to-day operations of the school. To ensure seamless connectivity, the new high school is designed to connect to the current K-8 Neighborhood School via a covered walkway, creating a cohesive and integrated educational community.
DeAngelis Diamond worked closely with Franklin Christian Academy and the design team to ensure that our construction work caused minimal disruption to the school traffic, staff, parents, and children. We initiated cost-cutting exercises and engaged in working sessions with the entire design team to fulfill the owner’s requirements for budget, schedule, and quality.
The new building offers a range of facilities, including a football field, basketball court, and state-of-the-art classrooms designed to create an engaging and immersive learning experience. Moreover, the second-floor mezzanine provides additional space for students to study and interact, further enhancing the learning environment. The design and construction of this project demonstrate our commitment to delivering superior quality results that align with the needs and expectations of our clients.
