A Letter from the
Lieutenant Governor Hello, Arctic Foxes! My name is Roselyn Romero and I am proudly serving as YOUR Lieutenant Governor for the 2017-2018 term! I am currently a junior at Channel Islands High School and I have been an active member of Key Club ever since the summer before freshman year. Outside of Key Club, I have maintained a 4.56 GPA while being the Vice President of CSF, a member on the Mock Trial team, a staff writer for the school newspaper, and a tutor for elementary school students at Fred Williams Elementary. This year, I aim to promote inclusiveness in our division by increasing membership attendance at DCMs. I also want to encourage our division to raise $875 for PTP, as well as advocate more contributions toward Key Club's preferred charities, such as March of Dimes and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. I hope to get to know you, the members I serve, throughout my term, and I hope to inspire all of you to continualy serve your homes, schools, and communities. As always, stay foxy! Trotting in Service, Roselyn Romero
District Convention 2017 On April 6-9, the 71st annual District Convention was held at the Anaheim Convention Center and the Anaheim Marriott Hotel. ProsperiBEEs, NewBEEs, and members across the Cali-Nev-Ha District gathered together to celebrate another year of fun, passion, and service. Our District's new Executive Board was selected at the House of Delegates, with Angelica Rose Garcia as our new District Governor, Margarett Lee as our new District Secretary, and Vivian Chu as our new District Treasurer. Day three of DCON was the most emotional as retirement and installation occurred, signifying both the bittersweet end of a term and the start of a new term for many. Members will reunite once more at District Convention 2018, which will be taking place in Reno, Nevada from April 12-15!
Past Events April DCM On April 15th, Division 42 West's new Lieutenant Governor Roselyn Romero hosted her very first DCM for the 2017-2018 term! It took place at The Collection Park and started promptly at 1:00 p.m. The DCM was also a cereal social, which means that all members in attendance were encouraged to bring their favorite box of cereal as they would all be eating and bonding together.
Santa Paula Key Club Cleans Up the Beach This past March, Santa Paula Key Club hosted a beach cleanup at the Ventura Beach. Members took time after school to drive twenty minutes to help better their environment. For three hours, members picked up trash, conversed, and relished the beach's waves. The group took a picture behind the sunset to commemorate this event.
You are invited to our annual
