Update
Aloha Arctic Foxes! Happy spooky October arctic foxes! Did you figure out what you’re going to be this Halloween? I haven’t, so don’t feel alone! I hope that everyone’s first month of school went swell! Or if you started earlier, I hope everything is going smoothly! October is also a month for applications! UC and CSU applications are opening up the 1st of October, and so is the FAFSA application! For those taking the SAT or ACT, I wish you good luck! Speaking about school, I would assume many of you have had your club rushes and brought in new members to Key Club! If not, continue to recruit new members because more the merrier! Let them know what we’re about and let them know about Fall Rally as well! Speaking of Fall Rally, have all of you started practicing your cheers or prepping your spirit gear? I haven’t but you can count on seeing me decked out for my last year! Seniors, this is your last chance at Fall Rally so BEE sure to go all out with your spirit gear!
ssue 6
RTC is also usually in that, I hope to see all of faces at RTC and
this
month, so with your BEEautiful Fall Rally!
Serving with pride,
Noah Tyler Ratley News Editor, 2014-18 3

We, Pacifica High School’s Key Club believe that the month of August has been fairly good to us. Despite the ending of summer vacation, we still have been productive in volunteer work. We attended a monthly service project, cleaned up a park, and did some helpful tasks for VC Caregivers! We look forward to our Blenders fundraiser, RTC, and the DCM for September! Some testimonials for this month are Dianne Montano and Alex Meza! As always, PHS Key Club is still thriving for the best! Submitted by: Ella Borcena Pacifica High Club Editor Upcoming Events

For the month of August, our club has participated in a few events. These events were all notified to our club members by our president, Shiela Valerio via Remind. We were able to have many members attend these events and some testimonials this month include Tristan Caldejon, Danielle Nario, and Vernadette Laderas. Over the summer, Key Club painted posters to get ready for our first meetin September 12, 2017. While making posters, we brainstormed ideas to recruit members for our first meeting. We then started to make flyers that were hun day before school. Because we made the posters before the August Su Guide, we had members bring in school supplies and help us with the poste flyer making. Now that all of the preparation and planning are done, we patiently for our first meeting. We are beyond excited for a new key club year!
The August survival guide was held at Santa Paula High School where over tw people showed up to create survival guides for incoming freshmen. As a sur we had a couple incoming freshmen pop into the event to help with the su guide making because Santa Paula was having a freshmen orientation on same day. We first played a couple ice breakers to introduce ourselves to group, ate some lunch that was provided, and then began to distribute sc supplies for all of the bags that were made. Most members who showed up able to make five bags. With the bags that Santa Paula made, we distributed out during lunch on the first week of school to recruit members to join Key Club
School just started and we have still volunteered every Wednesday at Many M We are approaching our 100 week at Many Meals in two weeks. At Many M Key Club members prepare home cooked meals for community members wh in need. These meals are created in an assembly lines as 60-80 people from S Paula wait patiently outside for their meals. Members then serve the meals t people who come to the event. As some people stay to eat their food, members start playing the piano to entertain the people who come. Our event is a success and we can't wait to hit our 100th week with Many Meals!
