message from the
LT. GOVERNOR Sofia Yahya
Hello there Pandas! The end of the school year is right around the corner! I hope you all did well on your AP and IB tests, and I wish you the best of luck with your final exams. Please remember to continue to serve throughout the summer months but remember to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen! I would like to thank you all for being such wonderful Key Club members; I know that we will have so many memories together. Stay tuned for many new and exciting things to come! With service and integrity, Sofia Yahya
SERVICE RECAP Ohana Festival | Valley At the Ohana festival we helped out with the crafts ands other things. First I was pleased with the bands. Fallyn and I were supposed to call the stage manager when the acts come. No acts came. So we ended up sitting down for 3 hours. We took a 20-minutebreak. They provided us with food and water. After the break, Fallyn and I were placed in arts and crafts. We helped little children makes frames out of sticks and color them. As the event started to die down we decided to go see the butterfly garden. It was so beautiful and it smelled so wonderful. All in all it was the best event this year. It didn’t even feel like I was volunteering because I was having so much fun. Hopeful we can do this next year! -Mary Sarpong, Valley Key Club member
Race for the Cure | Valley “Susan G. Komen’s Race for the Cure was an amazing and productive service event in Downtown Las Vegas. There, we handled the barricades and helped out in the food court as well. Also, the event was truly inspirational as we listened to many breast cancer survivors’ stories. Can’t wait until next year’s Race for the Cure!” -Miguel Ordanez, Valley Key Club member
REGION 5
officer training conference Officer Training Conference 2015 was an incredibly informative and useful event that our officers of Valley Key Club were able to attend. In this wonderful morning, we learned about what it really means to be dedicated to our organization, our schools and community, and most importantly, our members. While it was a great experience professionally, it was also a wonderful time to see other officers. We all had the Key Club spirit and the passion to lead our clubs. - Marie Hashitani, Valley Key Club President
Thank you for attending Officer Training Conference!
