LETTER FROM THE LTG Hey, Penguins! I hope you all are having an awesome semester! If you’re struggling with balancing school, Key Club, and other commitments, I’m always a text away! This semester, we have a lot to do: I’ve completed officer training for Pullman and Orofino already, and will be training Moscow on Nov. 18. Additionally, we will have our Winter DCM, and LTG Candidates Meeting very soon, so make sure to check out the important events page! If you are interested in running for Lieutenant Governor, message me ASAP, as the FINAL deadline in declaring your candidacy is December 1. We have a lot to do before DCON, so please keep going! I know that school gets hard sometimes, but we’ll all get through, I promise! And remember: I’m always here for you, please message me if you ever want to talk! Yours in love and service, DMITRI SABERI LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR OF DIVISION 56 LTG56@PNWKEYCLUB.ORG (509) 715-7475 3

PULLMAN UPDATE Pullman Key Club has been having a busy semester! In early October, Key Clubbers braved the rain on a Cougar Football Game Day to hold a Barbeque outside Dissmores IGA. The funds from the event went towards KCCP, our district project. Pullman hoped for around $400, on par with what they made last year. Then, they exceeded expectations in a huge way, raising $800 dollars for KCCP in just one day! The huge success of this event was incredibly inspirational and energizing for Pullman’s Key Clubbers, helping them build momentum and keep moving through the semester. They then continued this incredible momentum, raising an incredible $1500 for UNICEF on Halloween during their Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF event. These huge successes that have defined Pullman Key Club for this past semester are a testament to the fantastic work the officers are doing, which I have had the privilege to witness and be a part of, and I’m very grateful.

MOSCOW UPDATE Moscow Key Club, after a slow start to the semester, turned things around incredibly and have stabilized their attendance, leading to success in their events. They held a successful blood drive in October, and look to increase excitement and membership with their upcoming Highlighter Dance. The Highlighter Dance’s purpose is to get Key Club’s name out there and get people excited about service, which will help Moscow continue their recent success.

OROFINO UPDATE Orofino Key Club has been doing an incredible job this semester on all accounts. Recently, they did their yearly Trick-or-Treat in the street event as an interclub event with their Kiwanis, which was a huge success, as the kids really loved it. This event was also in celebration of Kiwanis One Day, showing the strong bonds between Orofino and their Kiwanis Club. Additionally, Orofino went to their local home for the elderly, and carved pumpkins with them. This event was such a success that the residents requested for them to come back as soon as possible. In response, they plan to come back to the elderly home in early December. Their strong ties to the community serve as a great example to the rest of the Division. Great job, guys!

RUNNING FOR LTG? POSITION INFORMATION The position of Lieutenant Governor is a very rewarding leadership position. I strongly believe that the amount of benefits you get out of it is determined by the amount of work you put into it. As Lieutenant Governor, you are responsible for overseeing the clubs in our Division, visiting the clubs, and serving as the bridge from the Division to the District. There are several monthly responsibilities, including holding monthly Presidential Council Meetings, completing Lieutenant Governor reports to the District, and making newsletters. Our Division especially requires diligence on the part of the LTG to keep relations between clubs and excitement high. More information on the position will be provided at the 1st candidates meeting, which will be held Tuesday, November 15th at 8:00 at Thomas Hammer in Pullman. This will also include a Q&A so I can answer any questions that the candidates may have. The final deadline for informing me of your candidacy is December 1, but I strongly recommend letting me know earlier. Please message me with any questions you may have!
