LETTER FROM THE LTG Hello, Division 56! This has been a fantastic month, and I’m so proud of all that you’ve accomplished. In September, we had our first official DCM, had fantastic attendance and won the spirit stick at Eastside Rally, and raised money for KCCP! Your Presidents and I have been hard at work planning future events to keep the momentum going. I will be visiting your clubs very soon for the second time to give a presentation on Key Club and, of course, to meet all of you. Be sure to be attending as many events as you can and helping your Key Club get going during the start of this year. I hope you all can take the energy and passion you gained from Eastside Rally back to your clubs to take your service to the next level and ”build your home, school and community” ;) Be on the lookout for future events and service opportunities, which I will do my best to detail in this newsletter, as we have plenty of opportunities this fall! Our emphasis in October is Kiwanis-Family integration due to Kiwanis One Day. I have worked with the Presidents to set up events with Kiwanis in October, so please show love to our parent organization! Best of Luck this fall Penguins! I’ll see you all soon! In love and service, Dmitri Saberi 3

BEASTSIDE RALLY 2016 Eastside “Beastside Rally 2016 was a huge success that created a great passion and energy in every one of the 38 attendees. In addition to Icebreakers, a presentation on the District Project, Educational and fun Forums, a Talent Act, and much more, the Key Clubbers raised over $200 for KCCP, a huge amount for the small number of attendees. This event really catalyzed growth and bonding between the Key Clubbers, all of whom came out with new ideas and a fresh energy to jumpstart their club. A huge congratulations to Division 56, who brought 24 people and won the Spirit Stick with their excitement and passion. You all are truly incredible and I am lucky to be able to serve you.

TRIPLE-C UPDATE COMMUNICATION

CONNECTIONS

COLLABORATION

As of now, we are transitioning from the Connections stage to the Collaboration stage. We have already established the forms of Communication we will use for the foreseeable future (e.g., our Facebook Group, Instagram, Officer Group Chats, among others). We then moved to the Connections phase: Bonding through the DCM and Eastside Rally, as well as through our Communication outlets, has begun and is going strong. We are currently transitioning from the Connections phase to the Collaboration phase. This Transition will be a long one, but we will hopefully develop a strong basis of connections by the end of this year to build on for the future. The last stages of the Connections stage leading to more regular future collaborations will be the Winter DCM, the Pre-DCON DCM, and DCON, which will hopefully break down the barriers between our clubs once and for all.

Trick orTreat FOR UNICEF ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF began 66 years ago to help kids who needed more than candy. Since then, children all over America have gone doorto-door on Halloween with UNICEF collection boxes, calling out, "Trickor-Treat for UNICEF!" They have helped to raise more than $175 million for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF since 1950. ABOUT UNICEF Founded in 1946, UNICEF has always put children first, helping to save more children’s lives than any other humanitarian organization. UNICEF cares about making the world better for kids. WHERE THE MONEY GOES The U.S. Fund meets Charity Navigator's highest ratings for transparency, accountability and administration. Out of every dollar spent, 90 cents goes toward helping children. We spend just 7 cents on fundraising costs, and 3 cents on administration. 17
