2019 Trip To The 200 Glennadine Gouldman August 2020 In March 2019, I rode to Richmond, Virginia, to meet Motor Maids members Ellen T. and Sharon P. We rode to Rocky Mount, NC, to spend the night with Jeanne D. We had dinner at a diner next door to the Harley shop, and they had great fried green tomatoes! Doobie joined us for dinner, and we had a good time; we don’t get to see her enough. The next day we rode to Savannah, GA, to stay the night. After breakfast the next morning, we got on Route A1A for the rest of our trip to Daytona, FL. What a beautiful ride along the ocean! We stopped at Martin’s Restaurant for a seafood lunch in Flaglers Beach, FL. If you love seafood, try this place! We got to Daytona after 2 pm and checked into the Hilton on the beach. Then we were off to see the sights and people watch. We were just one block off Main Street, so there was a lot to see. It was fun to see all the bikes riding around and around the block and checking out the vendors. Back in 1960, Main Street was all bars; it was more fun then! The next morning, we went down to the Daytona 200 Monument on the beach. Dick Klamforth and his wife, Bev worked hard and long to get this started. The first race I went to in 1960 was the last one run on the beach, and Dick was one of the racers.

Helen Kiss Main, also known as, The Pink Lady, on her pink and blue bike. She was one of the founding members of the Motor Maids Inc. The Motor Maids were established in 1940, and are one of the first women’s motorcycle groups and has been called the oldest existing women’s club in the United States.

Daytona Monument We had purchased a plaque for Motor Maids charter member Helen Kiss Main, AKA the Pink Lady. {Helen Kiss Main was a founding member of the Motor Maids #7 and the first treasurer. Helen was from Pottstown PA and started riding motorcycles when she was fourteen! Her dad owned the local Indian dealership there. Helen passed away in 2014 at the age of 94. She spent her life helping people, animals, nature and of course the image of motorcycling.} There was a big party going on and lots of people celebrating, with hot dogs and cake to eat. I got to talk to Bev and Dick, and I am so glad, as she died three weeks later. Dick passed six months later. While on my way over to give my talk about Helen, I heard my name called and looked around to see Jill Parham from IA. She lost John Parham in 2017. He started J&P Cycles and owned the National Motorcycle Museum.

Glennadine Gouldman

Ellen T.

I didn’t get to visit with her but for a few minutes, and she was gone when I finished my talk. Later, in July, I rode to Anamosa, IA, and got to spend a couple of hours with her. There were about a dozen Motor Maids in Daytona to visit with. We took pictures and even signed up a new member who wanted to meet Gloria Struck, who was also with us. The next morning, we left for home. Ellen and Sharon were going to stop in SC, so Jeanie and I rode on to NC to stay the night. I was home by 1 pm the next afternoon. It was another great time with friends, but I was glad to be home with my husband. If you haven’t seen the monument, go! It is on the beach near Main Street. It is free, and it’s nice to see and read about the people who got Daytona Bike Week started.

nc packs4 patriots Support Our Local Heroes

Many of our volunteers and donations are from church groups, schools, and civic clubs. We often have groups of 12-20 people volunteering at our center. As you may know, our center is very small without much ventilation so maintaining the safety protocols for Covid 19 contact prevention is very concerning. We are asking due to Covid 19 that you continue to support our troops while maintaining safety. WE DO NEED YOUR HELP. Please make plans to conduct fundraisers, and packing parties in your church fellowship hall, or other large area, which you determine to be safe, and then deliver or ship the donations and funds to us. We will be posting ideas on our Facebook page for holiday ideas. We are only allowing 2-4 persons in our center at one time so we can maintain social distancing to minimize risks. We want to balance our needs to support the troops with donations and care packages with our needs to stay safe from this virus. Please continue to help us show appreciation and support for our troops during this time.

Women of Worth

On The Open Road Empowering Women Women of Worth on The Open Road Empowering women is something tthat has been occurring for centuries. However, Kellyjean Deming (founder of Women of Worth Moto Group), has taken empowerment to exciting new levels through mentorship programs, personal interactions and so much more. The knowledge, confidence and sisterhood we gain takes us to the open roads where the possibilities are endless. As Courtney Kay so perfectly put it in an interview with Jessi Haar, being “behind the barz” on the open road is “Moving Meditation”. With over 200 crusaders strong across the world... the events, rides and shenanigans just continue to grow and empower. From new riders to veteran riders it is an ever-freeing experience of doing what some say can’t, or shouldn’t, be done. Women of Worth Moto Group has had and will have events that span across the country. The Tail of the dragon will be tamed by many crusaders in September. Through the help of the Ambassadors and Chapter Liaisons, the mission persists in the efforts to help women realize the awesomeness that is inside. You can visit us on Facebook to learn more, watch podcasts, become a Crusader. We are also on Youtube and TikTok. Our website is womenofworth.bike. Comfort Cabins on the Blue Ridge Parkway for Motorcyclists

T

he vision of the owner is to offer comfortable and affordable lodging for motorcyclists traveling through the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounding areas. The love of motorcycle exploring, ( especially off the beaten path ) coupled with a passion for meeting fellow riders, created the desire to build a quaint set of four “ low-occupancy” cabins on their property. The cabins are cozy, inviting and built for two. We know all too well that after a long day of riding, it’s nice to return to comfort. You will have that here with amenities like air conditioning, private bath with endless hot water showers, mini fridge, coffee pot with coffee and a comfortable queen bed. Charge your phone and your body for the next day’s adventure in the wind. These cabins are situated on a small rise overlooking a creek and a neighboring pasture that may yield wildlife picture opportunities in the fall. You can stroll down the property to a picturesque shaded place by the creek and dip your feet while you sip your favorite cool beverage. Ride it here or trailer it. We can accommodate both. Each cabin has a concrete pad for motorcycle parking. If you trailer your bike we have a designated parking area for vehicles with trailers at the entrance to cabins. Once you’re settled in, you can take advantage of the numerous twisty motorcycle routes in the area that will keep you in the wind for a day or a week! We will be happy to suggest some great day rides or visit the “Attractions“ page on our website and blaze your own. Below is a list of just a few of the things to do nearby. Things to do nearby: Blue Ridge Parkway, Claw of the Dragon, Big Walker Lookout, Grayson Highlands State Park, Chateau Morrisette (winery), Buffalo Mountains Ziplines, Maybry Hill, Mt. Airy, N.C., Tail of the Dragon and more! Go to their website to reserve your cabin today! www.ridgeridercabins.com

"Best of the Best" Enjoying the great food... Darron & Doobie

Some of our favorite eateries!

These are some of our favorite restaurant eats...and some of our favorite foods from those places. The Behind Barz Crew has been all over tasting some of the South’s best foods! DICK’S HOT DOG STAND WILSON, N.C. Darron and I visited Dick’s Hot Dog Stand for a late lunch recently. Limited seating is available so, we picked up our order and sat out in the parking lot. Everything I have ever eaten at DHS has been great! Their hot dogs are my favorite but I also love their cheese burgers. I always order my fries barely cooked and they were cooked just right! The dogs and fries were just as wonderful as the last time we ate there! Darron got a hot dog all the way and a hamburger all the way with fries. Look at all the fries they piled on!

Hot dog, cheeseburger, french fries and that Dick’s famous homemade chili!

Dick’s Hot Dog Stand, situated on the corner of Nash and Pearson streets, began in 1921 when Socrates “Dick” Gliarmis sold the very first hot dog. Across the street from the restaurant’s current location the same delicious hot dogs were sold out of a wooden grocery store for a nickel. Ninety-nine years later, the name and the restaurant are still going strong. Dick’s Hot Dog Stand survived the Roaring ’20s, two world wars, and the Great Depression, never closing its doors. Dick’s is still serving their famous chili recipe since that they have used since 1921! Their chili makes everything better! It was made in secret with fresh ingredients and fresh ground beef, was originally created by Socrates. Campbell’s Soup once approached Socrates about having his famous chili canned. He turned them down because he wanted to keep the recipe in the family. They are located in downtown Wilson. You could spend your entire day there just looking at and reading all the memorabilia on the walls! So many famous athletes, movie stars, and politicians have eaten at Dick’s over the years! Stop in for a bite and enjoy the scenery...While you are at it, enjoy a great meal and pick up a copy of Behind Barz Motorcycle Mag! Darron & Doobie

FOR CHARLIE by Sorez There is deep sorrow in my heart, as I try to lay down ink that will express the sincerest of thoughts from my soul.. of the Love, Honor, Respect and the forever debt of gratitude that I owe to my cherished good friend, Charlie Brechtel. I use the term that brother Good Time used towards me during our last interview together.. "My Good Friend," words that he used towards so many brothers and sisters, that were a part of his life, as he was a part of theirs as well. Hundreds.. Hundreds, and thousands.. were considered by Good Time Charlie Brechtel to be his good friends. A term of endearment that Charlie did not use lightly. If he said it, he meant it. You could see it in his heart. With passion in his eyes, and that appreciative smile on his bearded face. He wanted you to know that he truly cared, and dug what you was doing. Supporting others endeavors and appreciating all of the support that he received. Thankful, every single dang darned day. A true Brother of Motorcyclism. More than a minstrel to royalty. A very real legend in the hearts and minds of the hundreds of thousands of his good friends. A humble brother that played with the best of `em, throughout his life's time. Respected by all that knew him well. Truly loved for who he is and what he's done. Leaving us all at the fork in the road, saddened by his traveling on‌

Fingers grip the throttle Going down a hard road Holding on for all that it was worth Came across a brother Coasting same way miles He said, "c'mon now brother let us ride on down the road." Hands extend in friendship, Brotherhood in his smile A heart of gold that surely it did shine The miles passed quite easily A bond of trust was forged in steel On the road in search of a good time...

Some of our favorite eateries!

These are some of our favorite restaurant eats... and some of our favorite foods from those places. The Behind Barz Crew has been all over tasting some of the South’s best foods! Ribeyes Steakhouse Nashville, N.C. We visited Ribeyes Steakhouse recently. We just love the location...it is located just off of Hwy 64 in Nashville between Rocky Mount and Raleigh. Their steaks are mid-western grain fed beef by Omaha Steaks in Omaha, Nebraska. All their ribeye steaks are cut from Angus cattle. All steaks are served with an endless salad bar.

(L-R)

Wilson with his dad, Jeff Ellis.

Owner, Jeff Ellis, and his son, Wilson, strive to give their customers the very best experience and food possible! Many times one of the two of them are doing the cooking. They serve several seafood items, as well as, chicken breast and pork chops. They also have a smaller portion menu for kids or those eating lite. Everyone is so friendly at Ribeyes! Our server for the evening was Thomas. He was very attentive and made sure everything was just the way we wanted it and kept our glasses full. I had the Surf & Turf...petite Ribeye steak and skewer of grilled shrimp. It was served with their house made signature cocktail sauce and came with a baked potato, texas toast and the endless salad bar! My steak was cooked just like I asked and was very tender. The shrimp were grilled to perfection. The meal was very enjoyable Stop by for an unforgettable meal or great drinks in the bar or both! Ribeyes is biker friendly and you can pick up a copy of Behind Barz in the lobby. Doobie

WHAT NC MEANS TO ME N.C. is the home to 9 military installations, representing every branch of the military, where thousands of heroes live and work every day! In North Carolina you can get things that you just can’t get anywhere else in the world! Down home cookin’ like Grandma used to make - People in other places may try but it’s just not the same. It is the land of endless Pine trees and tobacco fields. Maters and Tea are sweeter here. Bar-B-Que is what we eat, not what we do. North Carolinians wave, “Hey”, to one another as they pass on the highway. They say, “Hey”, to one another when they pass on the sidewalk. We have pig pickins and family reunions. We can visit the coast and if we change our minds, the very next day we can be on top of the highest mountain peak east of the Mississippi. In N.C. the stars are brighter, the air is cleaner and the Lightnin’ Bugs still wink at night. North Carolina is a never ending place to explore and the best place in the world to go bare footin’, Bass fishin’ and motorsickle ridin’! It is my playground, my get-away, my refuge, my home!

The Bull Chro It’s that time of year again when scooters are rumbling toward the western mountains and, of course, to the 80th Black Hills Motorcycle Rally here in Sturgis, South Dakota. The numbers in Sturgis are off a little this year mainly because of the travel ban in so many countries but the rally is rolling on full steam ahead. There are scooters and riders from all over America riding this summer and they are not letting the heaviness in the atmosphere in America dampen their fun out here. Most of the people I know don’t really come here to go into Sturgis except to get a few pictures to show friends back home who didn’t make the trip this year. They really come to ride the canyons, Iron Mountain, Needles Highway or Custer State Park Wildlife Loop to see the buffalo and whatever other critters are out roaming the plains. They come to see Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devils Tower or just to see where their front wheel is taking them. Those are only a few of the other incredible rides the Black Hills, nearby Wyoming, and Montana have to offer. The same is true of the mountains from Arizona to Idaho..... As is usually the case I haven’t been able to do much pleasure riding again this summer because I really can’t afford it but mainly because the ministry I do is in pretty high demand lately. There are a number of people from around the country who follow me that have wanted to meet up so I put helping those people as my priority. I’ve been here and and virtually every other mountain range in America and ridden all the popular roads several times before so missing out on my friends rides isn’t so bad, I’ll ride with them here and in Colorado again next year.

I know it’s a lot of work to plan a two week vacation to anywhere and especially in the mountains or in a place like Sturgis but if you’ve never experienced South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, or the western mountains from a scooter saddle you really must. From some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets to Bridal Falls in Spearfish Canyon, Devils Tower National Monument in Wyoming, the infamous Bad Lands in South Dakota or Rocky Mountains National Park in Colorado, the natural beauty of creation is just around a bend or over the next hill. Take the time to plan to get out and see this amazing country we live in. I guarantee you will not regret it.....

The media is spreading fear, hate and doing great in dividing us and we are all happy to accommodate. I’m walking in to grocery stores laughing at the one way signs down each aisle. I’m like the hell with that! Have you ever made a grocery store list that is coordinated with the way the store is laid out? Like oh shit! I forgot the bread, damn that’s two aisles over, I’ve already passed that. Well no bread for me on this trip. Yea right. Why have we let this dictatorship rule over us? Better question. Why did we come over to America to start a new nation in the first place? Can I answer that one for you? To escape religious persecution. So, what is religious persecution? It is the systematic mistreatment of an Individual as a response to their religious beliefs or affiliations, or their lack there of. So, let’s dig deeper. What’s was the persecutions?

Big Ed aka 2Timer

Hello You Happy People! If you are reading this, congratulations, you have made it to veteran level of 2020. Man, what a year we’ve seen biblical changes in just within months. Virus, riots, cities burnt to the ground, civil unrest, government corruption, storms, volcanos, earthquakes, close fly by asteroids, and murder hornets. Also, I’m very sad to say, a 5 year old boy being shot down by a monster, for simply riding his bike. The evil in this world is at tip levels and I’m still wondering why a lot of us are still sitting in our recliners and not willing to budge to stop some of this. It’s like we lost our balls. Generations ago, none of this would have been tolerated. But not us. We just sit here and look at our phones and shaking our heads. I’m kinda ashamed of us all really. I’m wanting to bust the gates wide open, but one individual is simply played out as a looney toon. If only we could all come together and say enough is enough. None of us are thinking. I mean tell me this, have you’ve ever seen a flu being headline news in the summer? I mean, by summer there might be a case here in there at the beginning of summer. But here we are in the middle of the hottest months of the year and we are all following this B/S like sheep.

32

Here’s some examples, confiscation or destruction of property, incitement of hatred, arrest, imprisonment, beatings, murder, and executions. We came to America to escape this kind of treatment over religion. OVER RELIGION... A FORCED RELGION…..so, we are just going to sit here as a government FORCES THEIR RULE OVER US WITH LOADS OF FALSE INFORMATION? So, our people came across an ocean with people dying on the boats, facing starvation, lack of clean water and I’m sure the boats won’t that great to come here to a land of total uncertainty, because they were sick of the treatment. But we will gladly wrap our wrist with chains that belong to a government full of lies and deception? I mean, I was born in 1976. I came up living in the back of a trailer park. I won’t given anything! But what I was given was freedom to roam anywhere I wanted to go because 1. We didn’t seem to have as many sickos that preyed on children like we do today. So, I was like a feather in the wind...and 2. My folks raised me with morals and respect so they didn’t have to worry about me stealing shit or causing too much trouble. So, with my freedom to roam and be a kid, I saw the world differently than my friends who had to stay in the yard.

Big Ed... then, when I was 13, I met my Dad who was a Vietnam Vet and he taught me love and understanding for our freedoms and love for this country. He taught me freedom ain’t free! It comes with a cost of blood. A cost of life. But a few lives lost for a greater good for millions. That’s the price of freedom. Are you willing to share blood for the sake of your children? I am. ‘Cause I don’t like seeing where we are heading, and sometimes it takes the hard choice to put us in the right direction. Right now I feel like we are a train going at full speed and the bridge is out just right up the track. Hell, what do I know? I’m just a simple man. A Husband, a father, a guy who loves riding motorcycles and shooting guns. I’m just a simple man who goes to work and pays taxes and tries to be sure my family is safe. I fix things and I’ve done it so much I’ve made my living by fixing things. So, I would guess it’s natural of me to see our broken nation and want to fix it. I want to cure problems not just sit on the side lines and run it in to the ground. Like our motorcycles, we don’t wait ‘til it throws you into the air and splatter yourself upon the pavement. We see the problems coming and we fix it. We check our rides to be sure that we are safe and others are safe further up the road. We don’t run it to failure. I’m sorry for my rant….no...I’m not. I’m sure a lot of you see the same things I do. I’m sure you are wondering the same things, too. How long do we wait? How long before the shit hits the fan? We have got to be ready. That’s my answer for right now. Be ready. Before I go I want to add that I’m with the Unspoken Sons MC. We are in Lenoir Co. We are about to celebrate 10 years and we are going to host a celebration party at the Kinston Drag strip. It will be Saturday Sept. 5th. There will be load of stuff to do. A bike show, a car show, racing down the strip. It’s going to be awesome and you are welcome to join us as we celebrate 10 years. So, please come on out and show your support. It’s called the LOCO SHOWDOWN! Come on out and see USS. So, until next time. Keep your powder dry and your face in the wind and I’ll be seeing you Behind Barz!

Sturgis Rally STURGIS RALLY, SD

What we have compiled here are photos from bikers who were there, who lived it, and came back home to tell it! This was the 80th rally and usually the numbers are near or over a million but with the “pandemic” only 250,000 were predicted to attend. The 10 day total reported by the Department of Transportation is 462,182 people entering - down only 7.5% from last year’s rally but higher than predicted initially. Sadly, five people lost their life riding their motorcycle during the rally. Nobody looted, nobody burned businesses down, and NOBODY got murdered! Almost half a million people and they rode and partied together. It is called respect! Bikers LIVE IT!

Biker Dog Buck story & photos: Colin Cassidy

I would like to dedicate this article to my mother, Cheryl, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Love you Mom! It’s good to be back! Big thanks to Behind Barz for asking me to write another article. If you caught our last one in the July/Aug 2020 issue then you know that my dog Buck and I were hit by a car last year and have recently gotten back on the road. It has been great riding again. There’s really nothing like the clarity of thought you get with your knees in the wind. Due to recent events, my thoughts have been swirling around the concept of living a good life. I don’t mean “good” in the sense of “decent” or “right/wrong” but in the way you would lay down at night and think, “today was a good day.” Not to say that these concepts are mutually exclusive. They are very much linked. When you do good, you feel good. When you do bad, you feel bad. But there’s obviously more to it than that. I think it has something to do with following a path that makes you happy. But what is happiness? I think true happiness is different for everybody, but some concepts remain the same. It’s more than the fleeting feeling you get from a sweet cupcake or a cold beer on a hot day. I think it’s tied to more intangible things. So why does riding motorcycles make us happy? If you asked my mother she would tell you it’s because we’re crazy! After much examination, I have determined I ride because it makes me feel free and alive. The author, Robert Pirsig, put it best when he said that when you ride a motorcycle you become part of your environment. If it rains, you get wet. If it’s hot, you’re hot. We are no longer enclosed in a bubble of aluminum and glass. We are free. But freedom has a price. What would be a fender-bender in a car could be a life and death experience on a bike. So we weigh risk and reward… and we ride. Since my last article, Buck and I have made some changes in an attempt to increase happiness. After 30 years of city life, I have moved out to the country. To a different state, no less. I put in my notice at work and am exploring new options now. My cousin Rob happens to be a top-rated dog trainer, so (after a little begging) he agreed to teach me some of what he knows. I figured hey, I was able to train Buck to ride on a motorcycle with me, maybe I have a knack for it. Rob certainly has a gift when it comes to teaching dogs. I asked him if it makes him happy. He told me that training the dogs on its own really doesn’t, but helping people solve a problem they are having is rewarding. I get a kick from watching him work and seeing how well the dogs respond to discipline. I haven’t earned my stripes yet, but I’m coming along. If you need help with your pup, hit us up at Dogs Listen to Us on Facebook, Instagram, or DogsListenToUs.com. Farm life has been as therapeutic as I thought it would be. We have 5 acres just outside the Durham, NC area and everybody is having a wonderful time. Buck is tapping into his beagle roots and chasing down deer and I’m enjoying the peace, quiet and solitude. But is it making me happy? Too soon to tell, I think. I’m still riding the wave of excitement from the move and the change of pace. When everything settles down, I think I’ll be able to know for sure. I also bought another bike! It’s not much. It doesn’t run. But I’m having fun tinkering. I’ve found that having another bike that’s up and running really takes the edge off of wrenching on a bike and getting it working right.

and His Driver, Colin Cassidy

There’s no pressure to rush it so you can get back on the road. Fixing things makes me happy. It’s satisfying to put in the effort and see it pay off. It makes me feel useful. After months of being in the hospital and then in a wheelchair, utility has become very important to me. It’s a good feeling being able to solve your own problems without asking for help. My mother would say I get that from my father. My mom, like most moms, knows what’s best for me. I ought to settle down. I shouldn’t drink or smoke. Motorcycles are dangerous. She’s right of course, but we haven’t always seen eye-to-eye. Now that she’s staring down the barrel of a cancer diagnosis I’m paying closer attention. I’ve discovered that she has always been concerned with my happiness, even when I thought she wasn’t. She has been playing the long game. She has the foresight to see that things that make me happy in the short term might hurt me in the long term. I think some things, though, are worth that tradeoff. Motorcycles. So much fun. But as they say, there are two types of riders: those who have crashed and those that will! Dogs. They are man’s best friend, but if you’ve ever experienced the pain of loss then you know the hurt runs so deep its hard to even look at another dog. But happiness is more than just avoiding sadness. “Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.” So, I will continue on my quest to find what makes me happy and follow that path to its inevitable conclusion. I’ll let you know how it goes.

October is breast cancer awareness month. Tell the women in your life that you love them and consider donating to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation at BCRF.org. For more from Colin Cassidy and Buck, check them out on YouTube and Instagram @BikerdogBuck

the good news! ”JESUS IS THE ANSWER FOR THE WORLD TODAY.” For He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, forever. HEBREWS 13:8 It’s human nature to deflect responsibility. From the very beginning of time the “Blame game was used, Adam side stepped his responsibility as God’s man when he blamed Eve. That is what is on trial now, as then, in a test of will’s, this battle ground is a test. The question to the test is... “Are you going to replay in your mind how I can put the blame on someone else, even though I myself is part of the problem.” So, what happens when we come up with excuses? This world view is that the problems with everything evil that is going on is by what’s seen on the outside of someone, we judge by appearance first by view and words. Our decisions are based on what we see and hear, and our judgement is processed by how it makes us feel. The outcome from us will be either negative or positive. We are tempted to react in whichever way we choose to surrender to and that is the trial and the test. Through this trial the temptation will be in the choice that is made within the trial between evil and good. The correct response leads to endurance to persevere in the face of difficulty in righteousness of wisdom in Brother and Sisterhood. The wrong response leads to... well, death, and promotes hate, destruction, and separation. We see that happening right now in our country, the wrong reaction to the temptation of this test and trial. Whats on trial? Selfish jealousy , lets get real, that spirit manifests a selfish desire of entitlement, based on “you have more than me, even though you’ve work hard with a desire to take care of the things that truly matter, health spiritual and physical, education working to gain the measure to be self reliant with the pay you’ve worked in performing. A persons inner being, mind, soul, spirit, and emotion is characterized by the pursuit of happiness as long as it does not do anything that is illegal or violates the rights of others. That my brother is our Declaration of Independence! Where am I going on this ride? Is this, you know riding behind barzs gives us bikers a view of everything in front of us. Bikers always express the psychological freedom of riding to clear one’s head, a clear view of what’s ahead as we leave it all behind! You never see a Motorcycle parked outside a Therapist’s office lol.

Rodger Duvall ~ Jesus Freak Thee Redeemed House biker Church

Our therapy is to ride. And ride free, free from worry about color, social standing, or economic status. Why? Because a biker does not look at how one looks, but look’s like Jesus, at the Heart. With this mindset you have my respect because you are another human being created by Jesus. Luke the Physician recorded this in the Gospels of Jesus The Christ, “ Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. Luke 6:31 Biker’s understand that principal and that principal gets mirrored back to everyone we meet. It is an equal mutual standard, give respect get respect. Here is another Equal that is God’s standard, He is equal to all lives in how much He loves us ! NOW LETS GET REAL! The difference for us individually is this... How much do you love God? How much do you love Him back? God loves us back by this way, He sent His one and only SON into our world to have Him rejected, spit on, whipped, stabbed, mocked with a crown of thorns, every kind of evil placed on Him and hung on a cross for all lives to see. Why? For all the world to see just how evil it is to put the blame on someone who is innocent and no be accountable for one’s own actions. God’s hope in that is that we would take responsibility in repenting of our self-righteous attitude, and understand the forgiveness that has been offered! Listen, it is wrong for an innocent person to pay for something someone else has done wrong. Jesus is the answer for the world today. JESUS offers this, the only way, “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens (tired with troubled), and I will give you rest. Take My Yoke (a connection to assist to carry you to get you through together as one) upon you and learn from Me, for I AM gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul, for My Yoke is easy and My burden is LIGHT!
