Lords of loyalty The Lords of Loyalty MC, Capital Chapter held their annual charity event on Saturday, April 14th. This year’s event was held at Kickback Jack’s restaurant in Garner. The recipient of the fundraiser this year was Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA). Over $1,200 was raised for BACA during this event. Kickback Jack’s was very supportive, not only in allowing the event to be held at their restaurant, but also in hiring two bands to cover the event. Booths were set up in the parking lot by vendors and non-profit organizations. Booths represented a broad spectrum of interests, from high output audio systems to ladies jewelry and from biker gear to rescued puppies. The music was great, as was the weather. There were many very nice door prizes, and at Kickback Jack’s, nobody ever goes away hungry. The Lords of Loyalty MC would like to thank Kickback Jack’s and all the vendors, donors, and participants in the fundraiser this year. The Lords of Loyalty MC would also like to thank Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) for the great work they do for abused children and their families. Respectfully; Tejas Lords of Loyalty MC Capital Chapter

Red Devils Winter Party story & photos: Johnny King
On February 25th the Red Devils had their first down and out party at Ape Hangers in Lucama, NC. The bar was stocked, the food was on the grills under the watchful eye of Robert Astin, and the doors were opened. These guys are fairly newly formed and weren’t quite sure what the turnout would be, but were eagerly awaiting their potential guests. The weather was rather cool and breezy, but that didn’t stop the guests from arriving (although some waited till late to arrive). Club members from the Hells Angels, Desperados, Granville Greys, Tuscarora, Road Ramblers as well as members from the 4th Reich Riding Club and CBA all came out to party with the Devils. For all the early arrivers there were barbeque chicken wings and sides to keep them going till the main meal was ready. Brennan and Tiffany kept the bar going and helped make sure all the guests were served timely with their favorite beverage of choice. The jukebox was playing and the guests mingled talking, telling jokes, and enjoying the company of other riders. Around 7pm the main meal was ready and these guys went all out with BBQ grilled pig, snaps, potatoes, casseroles, salads, and several different desserts to choose from. Even after everyone there had eaten there was enough for late arrivers to snack on throughout the evening if they got hungry. Around 9pm, the bar was packed with bikers and friends of the Club, as Haywire, plugged in and really rocked the place with some outstanding music. The attendees were out on the floor dancing, laughing, and really enjoying the sounds of the band. During the band’s break the door prizes were called out with some really great prizes for all to have a chance to win, including tattoos, shirts, touring lanterns, and a helmet or two.
Robert and Drex tending to the main course!
I would have to say the Red Devils pulled off an OUTSTANDING party! Everyone had an AWESOME time and definitely ate well. The hospitality of all the members was felt by all that attended. I look forward to the next time I am invited to come out and party with y’all. I had a really good time and enjoyed the company of all who were there. Awesome job…..

spring fling & charity Ride in memory of donna kirby Written By: Moe and Lady D Picturez By: Moe
On March 24th 2012, the Goldsboro Hog Chapter sponsored their annual benefit ride for the American Heart Association in honor of Donna Kirby. Goldsboro Hog has sponsored this annual event since 2004. Donna was the wife of Ernie Kirby from Goldsboro, NC. Mrs. Kirby passed away in July of 2004 after a long battle with heart problems. Mr. Kirby, himself, also suffers from heart problems now, but this did not stop him from attending this benefit in honor of his wife. Mr. Kirby stated he was very grateful to all those that attended this event and helped support the AHA.
Goldsboro HOG members
It was a nasty rainy day on the day of the benefit, but the hearts of all the bikers that turned out for this event were in place. They came out anyway to support and help raise the much needed money for the AHA. Goldsboro Hog Chapter donated $500.00 to AHA along with all the monies raised from the benefit. Five stops were made during this event – Shelton’s HD of Goldsboro, NC, and Smithfield, NC, Double D’s Bar and Grill in Fremont NC, Friendly Mart on Hwy 13 in Goldsboro, NC and the final stop was at Whiskey Dick’s in Goldsboro, NC. Whiskey Dick’s sponsored lunch and music for all those that attended the benefit. Tons of door prizes were donated from various businesses and individuals. Goldsboro Hog Chapter sends out a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to everyone that helped make this event a success. Thanks Goldsboro Hog for inviting the Behind Barz Crew to your event. Hope to see all you good folks again real soon. All you guyz and galz ROCK! Thanks for all the support that you provide to your community.

Edgecombe Co. Frog Level 2nd Anniversary
The Frog Level MC Clubhouse of Edgecombe County was hopping for their 2nd Anniversary party on February 4th. Frogs were out in abundance throughout the day to help celebrate this young chapter. Although the weather wasn’t co operating it didn’t stop these guys from partying down. The Frogs had planned extensively for this party welcoming all that arrived with hot dogs for the early arrivers and for those that come up later and/or stayed around they served grilled Boston butts (that were really good), Cole slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, and baked beans. Everyone inside enjoyed the sounds of the band Toddy Road, which played some awesome oldies, while enjoying the company of other guests from Pitt County (Mother Chapter of Frog Level), Beaufort County Frog Level, members from Iron Order and a few Ghost Riders, all coming out to help the guys celebrate. Outside party goers talked, drank, or went out to the barn to play a few games of pool.
story & photos Johnny King
The guys from Edgecombe County Frog Level put on a really great party although the weather put a damper on some of the guests it didn’t stop the Frogs from throwing down to bring in their anniversary. With most activities planned for the party put on hold due to the weather I for one look forward to the next party they plan under fairer skies. These guys thoroughly entertain their guests and go the extra mile to make sure they have a really good time making their guests want to come back again. So till the next time boys, thanks for a good time and congratulations on your 2nd Anniversary. I truly look forward to the next party.

New Bern
New Bern is located at the confluence of the Trent and the Neuse rivers. Formerly an Indian town named Chattoka, New Bern was settled in 1710 as a Swiss immigrant settlement, and the city is named after Bern, the capital of Switzerland. New Bern is the second oldest town in North Carolina. It served as the capital of the North Carolina colonial government and then briefly as the state capital. After the American Revolution, New Bern became wealthy and quickly developed a rich cultural life. In fact, at one time New Bern was called “the Athens of the South.” By 1890 the large area of forest land, combined with the two rivers, became used for transportation of the logs. This enabled New Bern to become the largest lumber center in North Carolina and one of the largest in all of the South. During this time as many as 16 lumber mills were running and employing hundreds of New Bernian’s.
story & photos: Doobie
The competitive nature of the lumber barons, the abundance of lumber and craftsmen, led to the creation of some of the finest homes in the south, many of which are still in existence. The lumber boom was to last until the 1920’s. One by one the lumber mills went out of business and today only Weyerhaeuser manufactures lumber in the area. New Bern is the birthplace of the international drink, Pepsi Cola. It is also the setting of the Nicholas Sparks’ book, The Notebook. A segment on NBC’s The Today Show which aired March 16, 2005, mentioned that New Bern was one of the best places in the United States to retire which has been a haven for retirees from the northern states. New Bern has four historic districts with homes, stores and churches dating back to the early eighteenth century. Within easy walking distance of the waterfront are more than 164 homes and buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Also, nearby are several bed and breakfast inns, hotels, restaurants, banks, antiques stores and specialty shops. The historic districts also are home to many of the town’s 2,000 crape myrtles — New Bern’s official flower — and glorious gardens. At Union Point park, located downtown borders both the Neuse and Trent Rivers, the city’s major celebration spot for events such as Neuse River Days and the Fourth of July. In 1979 local government gave Swiss Bear Downtown Revitalization Corp — a nonprofit corporation of civic leaders — the authority and responsibility to capitalize on the potential of the failing downtown area. Today, art galleries, specialty shops, antiques stores, restaurants and inns have resurrected downtown and the waterfront into a social hub. Improvements are continuously underway. Built and dedicated in 1995 through the efforts of Swiss Bear, James Reed Lane is a downtown mini-park and pedestrian walk-through on Pollock Street across from historic Christ Church. Private restoration efforts return many of the downtown buildings to their turn-of-the-twentieth-century elegance. Tryon Palace was completed in 1770 and was the former home of British governor William Tryon. It was used as the original state capitol building of newly independent North Carolina. It burned down in the 1790s. A replica, built from the original plans and on the original foundation, is now maintained as a historic site and tourist attraction. Coat of arms of New Bern, NC: The city flag honors the mother-daughter relationship with Bern, Switzerland. The flag’s bear motif, which dates from the Middle Ages, can be found on city buildings, vehicles, and uniforms. The original flag, a gift from the residents of Bern in 1896, is on display in the courtroom of City Hall. Its the same coat of arms as the the Swiss Capitol Bern except for the red penis of the bear, which isn’t on the American version.

Moe loved the “Black & Bleu” burger! Every ingedient served fresh and the burger seasoned to perfection! Lady D fell in love with the Front Street Brewery’s “Chocolate Ale Ice Cream” - homemade chocolate ice cream that captures the taste of their Scottish Ale Beer with it’s chocolate and caramel malts. Front Street Brewery has a full menu and they are open until midnight EVERY night! Free beer tasting and brewery tours! Arnold’s Family Restaurant - this was Bald Eagle’s choice for the best ice cream around! Arnolds is an oldtime favorite. It’s well stocked buffet, offers a variety of main entrees and side dishes that are made fresh daily. The restuarant features indoor and outdoor dining areas. Just looked at the photo! The sweetness is piled on high!!!
Bridgersville Store & Grill “Frog Legs” 252-291-1682 6502 Hwy 42 E. Elm City, N.C.
The Bridgersville Store & Grill was Vinney’s favorite place to get Frog Legs! They were fried to a perfect tenderness. It’s true what they say, frog legs really do taste like chicken! Bridgersville Store & Grill is a good ol’ country store, in a nice country setting with the friendliest staff around! They are located on Hwy 42 East, just past Gardners School. They are also open 7 days a week and have a full service grill! Truth be known, this one of Doobie’s favorite places to eat breakfast!
The Sting Ray Cafe was Doobie’s Sting Ray Cafe favorite for a shrimp burger. They are “Super Shrimp Burger” located just up from the Tryon 252-638-2280 Palace. Nice staff and seafood is their 520 S. Front St. New Bern, N.C. specialty! We also tried their homemade crab bisque - the BEST I’ve ever had!!! Everything is cooked to order and well worth the wait! The Sting Ray Cafe will be a regular stop for us!

friends for anna Benefit concert and bbq
Written By: Moe Picturez By: Moe On February 25th 2012 at Country Times Tavern in Goldsboro, NC, the Ghost Riders MC sponsored a benefit fundraiser for Anna Ream. Anna was diagnosed with upper GI cancer in October of 2011. All donations received were given to Anna to help with the tremendous expenses of her cancer treatment. Over $2000.00 was raised for Anna that day. BBQ Chicken plates with all the trimmings were sold to help raise money. I am telling you!!! That was some of the best BBQ chicken I have ever eaten. Three great bands, Southern Impact, 5-Speed, and All My Rowdy Friends, generously donated their time to help raise money for this great cause. All three bands were “ROCKIN.” The music was so good, I even got out there and shook a leg a few times on that dance floor.
Anna with her husband, Michael
Many family members, friends and fellow bikers were in attendance. Ghost Riders MC, Unspoken Sons MC, Helping Hands RC, Chrome Horses MRC, Freedom Riders MC, Tuscarora MC, CBA, Bikers for Christ MM, and the Road Rebels all came out to show their support for Anna. Wow!!! It was such a great sight to see all these fellow biker guyz and galz come out and show their support for this great cause. Anna, her husband Michael and children were in attendance at the benefit. Anna and her family expressed their heartfelt gratitude for everyone’s thoughts, prayers and donations.
All My Rowdy Friends
We here at Behind Barz Motorcycle Magazine hope that you continue to do well with your recovery Anna. It was such a pleasure to meet you and your family.

Been There, S By: Chewy (Biker Dog)
My driver and I weren’t on the road much over the past couple of months, but we were still out and about. We rode to Charlotte in mid-February to link-up with friends of Lyle Davenport from Charlotte HOG and Patriot Guard Riders. We rode from Charlotte to Morrow Mountain State Park near Albemarle, where we released balloons in Lyle’s memory. A year ago, Lyle was returning from a military funeral when he was hit by a car and killed.
Morrow Mountain State Park in memory of Lyle Davenport. We attended the installation of the Magnolia Chapter of the American Gold Star Mothers in Kannapolis. It’s sad that we have enough mothers of Fallen Heroes that another chapter is needed in North Carolina. For those who do not know, a Blue Star Mother is a mother who currently has or has had a child serving in our armed forces. A Gold Star Mother is a mother who lost a child while in service to our country.

Administering the oath to the officers of the newly chartered Magnolia Chapter of the American Gold Star Mothers. On March 11 south of Fayetteville, the Flags for Fallen Military (FFFM) honored and remembered Gifford E. Hurt, Private First Class, US Marine Corps, killed in action January 20, 2010. On March 18, we were with FFFM to honor and remember Scott Badgley, Master Sergeant, US Marine Corps. The FFFM installs flag poles and dedicates flags in honor and remembrance of our Fallen Heroes. Junior ROTC units from local high schools were present at each ceremony. Anyone who wants to honor a Fallen Hero may attend the ceremony. The flag pole, flag, and supplies were provided by Lowe’s on Ramsey St. in Fayetteville, NC. If you live in the Fayetteville area and happen to be at the Lowe’s on Ramsey St., please thank Robbie Haire (the manager) for supporting Flags for Fallen Military.

Mother and Sister of Gifford Hurt, PFC, USMC, KIA 20 Jan 2010 at the Flags for Fallen Military Ceremony. The Fuquay Varina Women’s Club asked me to speak at their monthly meeting in March, so I brought my driver with me because I know they don’t understand doggie or paw language. We gave them a short highlight of what my driver and I do, then we answered questions. If your group, church or class would like me to visit and bark about what my driver and I do, feel free to contact my driver through my website and we’ll see what we can do.

If you live in North Carolina, you may have heard about the Army Officer whose house was on fire. He helped his wife escape through their second story bedroom window. As soon as he was on the ground, he immediately re-entered the burning home to rescue his two daughters. The three died in the home. I stood with the Patriot Guard on Ft Bragg to honor CW2 Edward Cantrell during his visitation, the memorial service with his family, and the memorial service with his unit. CW2 Cantrell was interred at Arlington National Cemetery, and permission was granted for his daughters to be interred with him.

A portion of the PGR flagline at CW2 Cantrell’s Memorial Service at the JFK Memorial Chapel, Ft Bragg, NC. We ended the month with the Vietnam Veterans Homecoming at Charlotte Motor Speedway. We rode with the Patriot Guard Riders to escort the American’s Veteran Traveling Tribute (“The Wall”) to Charlotte Motor Speedway on Thursday, then returned to join in Rolling Thunder’s Ride-In to the Homecoming celebration on Saturday. Saturday started wet. My driver and I departed at 4:15am (“o’dark thirty) and linked-up with Chris and Caleb Rhew at about 5am. We don’t mind riding at night, and we don’t mind riding in the rain, but we don’t like riding in the rain at night! By the time Rolling Thunder reached the Speedway at about 10am, the weather started to clear. The Homecoming was led by the USO of North Carolina. Did you know that USO-NC is the oldest USO in the US and celebrated their 70th anniversary last year? I’m a USO Ambassadog, so I had my Harley parked by the USO Mobile Unit so that people could meet me and take pictures with me. My driver made a shade umbrella contraption for me, and it worked. It was a bit warm, so I wore my swamp jacket, which keeps me cool through evaporation. Charlie Daniels played during the event, but I didn’t get a chance to meet him. The event ended on a sad note for us. Two motorcyclists decided to ride on the track and came towards each other from opposite directions. They collided and both died later. A passenger was seriously injured. We waited for the collision area to be cleared so a friend could get his bike out of the area. The Patriot Guard and Rolling Thunder had two clear rules for anyone riding their bikes onto the Speedway: Stay below the white line and speeds must be under 35 mph. Both motorcyclists broke the two safety rules and paid with their lives. My driver and I prayed that both had the opportunity to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior before they died.

Been There, Sniffed That
After returning from the Homecoming, I checked my Harley for a magnet and gremlins. On our way home from the Homecoming, we were in a group of four bikes: Jim/Christi, Mike/Karen, Chris/Caleb, and my driver/me. East of Albemarle, a car didn’t slow down much, ran a stop sign, and made a right turn in front of us. We were the lead bike, and my driver braked and held the horn button for about 30 seconds. We kept our distance because the car driver rode her/his brake lights for about five miles, which was very annoying because we wouldn’t be able to quickly tell if the person was slowing down until the gap between us closed. The sun had set and the car’s windows were darkly tinted, so we couldn’t see if the person was talking on a cell phone. Most drivers seem to be safe, but what is it with some people in cars? If that person was in a hurry, pulling out in front of us didn’t make a difference because about 15 miles later, we all arrived at the same stop light in Troy! That person could have easily taken out four large bikes and eight lives! Given the number of close calls, there must be a magnet on my bike that is attracting the bad drivers to turn in front of us or drift into our lane!

Mounted up for Rolling Thunder’s Ride-In to the Vietnam Veterans Homecoming.
In March, two friends were called home to be with our Lord and Savior: Jim “Booker” Booker and Ed “Tail Gunner” Williams. I first met both of them through Raleigh HOG when I began riding in 2008. They were both veterans who proudly served our country, and I was honored to have ridden with them while they were with us. Both men are Christians, so I know they are with God and Jesus. If you are unsure of your salvation, I know people you can talk with, like members of the Christian Motorcyclists Association, Bikers for Christ, and other Christian groups, or visit Freedom Biker Church or any Bible-based church, or contact my driver or the church he attends (www.macedonia-nc.com). To all of my friends: Be Careful Out There! Enjoy the warm weather and “keep your tongue in the wind!”

Freedom biker church “winter sucks!” garage party
Written By: Moe and Lady D Picturez By: Moe On March 24th, 2012, Freedom Biker Church of Fayetteville partnered with HotRodz, to hold their first annual Winter Sucks Garage Party. All proceeds went to Cause (Comfort for America’s Uniformed Services), for the Wounded Warriors. Cause organizes programs that promote recreation, relaxation and healing into the lives of our wounded warriors. A Pig Pickin’ with all the fixins’ was provided to help raise money for the Cause program. A live band kept the crowd entertained with some great music. There were door prizes, vendors, a swap meet and lots of activities for the kidz to enjoy. My personal favorite was the dessert war. Wow!!! There sure were some great desserts served. It was hard to pick just one favorite. They were all winners in my book. It was a GREAT turnout to this event, despite the rainy weather. The Auxiliary Combat Vets, Rollin Thunder, CHMRC, BFC, FBC, M25, Patriot Guard, HOG, AGSM Dogwood Chapter, Fallen Heroes, Honor and Remember, American Red Cross, and many more were there to show their support for this great cause. When it was all said and done, FBC had raised over $2000.00 for Cause. Donations can continue to be made online @ cause-usa.org, or by mailing a check to Cause, 4114 Legato Rd, Suite B, Fairfax, VA 22033. Thanks so much FBC Fayetteville and HotRodz for inviting the Behind Barz Motorcycle Magazine Crew to your event. We had a blast. We met a lot of new people, along with spending time with some ole friends. Hope to see all of you again real soon.

Hello Fellow Bikers,
My name is Lee Hartline, or just plain ‘ole Lee Bob. I am Deaf-Blind. Now you may be asking...what is Deaf-Blind? Well, according to the federal government, the term Deaf-Blind refers to anyone who has a significant loss of hearing and vision. Most Deaf-Blind people have what is called Ushers Syndrome. I have Ushers Type II, meaning I was born severely hard of hearing, and later in my early teens developed Retinitis Pigmentosa or RP.
is to advance the education, economic, and social welfare of Deaf-Blind folks in NC.
I grew up like every other kid. I lived and participated in mainstream society and school, and did not know anyone with a hearing or vision loss. Everybody around me was “normal”. I mean, I had seen a few deaf folks around but never interacted with them because I didn’t know how to communicate with them. (I hear fairly well with the hearing aids).
I then decided to get more involved so I could use my talents to help others. I have since spent over eight years serving on the board of directors, (I am the current Vice President) and other various committees of this organi zation to provide encouragement and educational opportunities to those who need it. Having a dual disability has a way of shutting in older folks that don’t have the family that most enjoy and the NCDBA tries to fill that void. Our goal is to inform and empower Deaf Blind persons in NC to take an active role in their lives, so they can be in dependent and productive citizens in main stream America. We are committed to pro viding assistance to persons with hearing and vision loss through peer support, information and referral, education and leisure activities.
I thought I was very different from everyone else. Having this blindness taking over my life was scary to say the least. I thought my God I am the only one like this. How can I live if I go blind? It brought out some depression and low esteem. In 2002 I became a member of an association filled with folks just like me that was a turning point in my life. This association is called North Carolina Deaf Blind Associates (NCDBA). NCDBA is a 501 c incorporated non-profit consumer organization established in 1984 whose purpose

After joining, I started attending some events sponsored by NCDBA and I soon realized that I was one of the lucky ones. I mean I could walk, run, swim, and was fairly healthy. So many of the folks I was meeting had it way worse than me and they were living life to the fullest. They were enjoying life!!
I would like to ask for your help and participation in a Poker Run on June 9. ALL funds collected go towards our annual Camp Dogwood weekend. Each September, NCDBA sponsors a camp for the Deaf-Blind in NC. We offer accessible activities like boating, crafts, health seminars, cooking demos, fishing, and a dance on Saturday night. Our theme this year is Hawaii and we plan on turning Camp Dogwood into an Island Paradise.

We Remember
Danny ““preacher man” James 4/2/56 UNTIL ETERNITY On March 10, 2012, my best friend, and husband of 31 years went home to be with the Lord. I am proud to be the wife of Danny “Preacher Man” James and the pride I feel was confirmed when I saw and met the many many lives that he touched during his life time. I want to thank each and everyone who came to pay their respects to my husband. It was heartwarming to see the lives he had touched and the legacy he left our family. However, Danny would have us give all the glory and credit to the Lord for each and everything he had done in his life. I want to thank everyone who sent cards, flowers, words of encouragement, emails, face book comments, phone calls, prayers & thoughts, and all the love and support shown to me and my family during this time. Danny was the Founder of GOTC Bikers Ministry and Stairway to Heaven Biker & Community Church. He helped start the Batchelor’s Toy Run and help organize events for people who were sick or in need of assistance. My husband had a heart of gold and would have given his last dollar to someone in need. He loved to ride motorcycles, NASCAR, making knives & walking canes, going to & having yard sales, going to auctions, spending time with his children & grand children, also spending time with his brothers, sisters and friends. Danny was and is a loving & devoted husband, daddy, Old Man, Pops, Poppy J., brother, friend and pastor. His greatest of all loves was his Lord and Savior. He always put God first in all he did and he wanted to share the Word of God with all that would listen to him. He would do that by walking up to anyone and everyone to ask if they had spoken to JC that day, would give them a little silver pocket cross, tell them God loves them and then invite them to church. It has meant so much to our son, Willie Daniel James II, our daughter, Christie James Ayscue, and to me, all the love and support shown for our family during this time. We would like to say a special thank you to the Guardians, our church family & friends for all they have done for us and what they did for Danny. Also, to Donnie Manning and his family for letting my husband be a part of their family, there are no words that I can say to express the gratitude we feel for the Mannings for all they did for my husband. Just know he loved them and was proud to be a part of their family. Thank you from Lynn, Willie & Alex, Christie & Andru, Dylan, Destiny, Krysia, and Hunter. RIP My Love until we meet again. I will Love and Miss you AAFA27DUE!!!!!!!!!!!
To Those That Loved Me :
To those that loved me please dont cry you know this isnt really goodbye you must come to accept that im no longer there but i know i’ll live on in the hearts of those that truely care. My journey was finished i ran my last race i had to go to heaven oh what a peaceful and loveing place. You wouldnt beleive it you just couldnt comprehend but friends im in paradise with a soft blowing wind. There is no pain there are no tears there is no conscience there are no fears. The streets are made of shiney gold Everyone is young there is no old. I can still see you when the clouds drift apart I can still feel the ache I left in your heart. Please dont worry but cherrish the memories I left behind of me trying hard to be both loving and so kind. Take them and go on remembering the man you always knew take them and go on remembering all the things we used to do. Dont let your hearts be saddend because you know it isnt right Smile and be happy because I’m watching over u each night. : I Love you Danny James and thank you for changing my life. by bruiser Paula Brooks

Danny was an inspiration...a true friend... a devoted husband, father & grandfather. His faith in God was undaunted! No matter the trials and tribulations in his life he never lost focus on what mattered and he always believed - through it all! He visited with me while I was sick at Duke and prayed with me and for me. He told me that no matter what, my life was in God's hands. He told me to believe and trust in Him. Danny was a soldier of God...all I can say is that He really must have needed him in Heaven because Danny was way too young to leave this ol' cruel earth. But, I know that is Danny is smiling his biggest smile ever in the Kingdom of Heaven and one day we will see him again! Doobie
Danny “Preacherman” James
My Friend, my brother, what an empty place that is left in my heart. I can remember way back when I first met you, our daughters became good friends at school, and from that they grew into best friends that were always together and it led to us seeing each other more. Many years later is when we became close friends. Danny would come sit at our house with me and my husband, Danny Carter, and we would talk for hours. I was always cooking something and it was never hard to get Danny James to stay and eat with us, He would call Lynn and tell her to come on over or he would go home and get her and come back, through many glasses of tea and Fried Chicken and Mash tators (as Lynn called them). Our friendship grew. Danny began to talk to us about God. With Danny you listened and the next thing we know we are going to church with him and we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Danny never gave up on us. He was a constant witness to us and many others as we watched him. We new this was the way Jesus wanted us all to live, act, and go forth and tell everyone about an amazing God who Loves you. Danny played a big part in my husband and I serving God,. For that I will forever be thankful to Danny cause he stayed true to the job he was doing for his Heavenly Father. What a great loss for us here on earth, but what a glorious gain there is in heaven. Danny would not want anyone to say that he did this or that. He never wanted credit, he made it clear that it was Jesus Christ, give him Glory. Danny, We miss you so very much. What a great ride it was, I want to say “Thank You For Giving Unto The Lord”. Because you gave, Danny, my husband and I know that we to will meet you again for the great reunion with our Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ... Til we meet again.. KEEP THE FAITH..... love you, Cathy and Danny Carter
