Club Update Hey, Key Clubbers! Congratulations on making it through the year and into summer! Even though school stops in summer, it doesn’t mean that service does, so keep coming out to events in order to earn service hours and points for Deer Valley that go towards awards like Club on Fire and Service in Summer! We already won Club on Fire once, and we want to keep that award as well as our spark for service. Have a great summer! ~Allison Lee, Editor

On May 17, 2018, Deer Valley Key Club hosted a campus clean-up at Deer Valley High School. The objective of the clean-up was to help eliminate the waste and trash that was not properly disposed of all around the campus. Eight Key Clubbers total attended this service event. Our campus looked so much better after Key Club had gone through and picked up every last bit of litter we could find during the time that we had. Take Steps was event that helped raise money for people with similar diseases in order to help them know that they are supported and loved. Key Club helped to set up and break down the event as well as helping to run the event.

Library Volunteering On June 17th, Deer Valley Key Club volunteered at the Antioch Library on W. Eighteenth Street. At the library, Key Clubbers helped to shift books to different shelves in order to minimize the damage that had been done to some of the books and shelves in thos particular sections of the library. We had a great time at the library and look forward to be volunteering and working with the library again!
