Event Recap Officer Training Conference This year’s O.T.C or officer training conference was interesting. Due to issues with my house internet, I missed out on the first hour of the event, eventually joining back around lunchtime. When I joined back, the LTG’s were reading out love letters which were enjoyable to hear while I ate, ‘lmao’. Other than that, I just vibed through the presentation on finding service events with d30s’ Jennifer Vo and d30n’s Amy Wang. Some new information I learned from that event was the service themes for the month as well as the existence of the “Major Emphasis Contest” as well as the, “Single Service Contest” ,and how to apply to them for club recognition. Aside from that, I got to meet fellow key clubbers from the OC area, and the added benefit of something to burn time during quarantine made the event quite enjoyable compared to the rest of my day. 10/10 would come again, the only problem with that is that I am an upcoming senior so ‘hahaha’, however I am looking forward to R.T.C or regional training conference with even more key clubbers as it is not just officers. Hopefully, that will be in person, but only time will tell :))) - Ben Vo, 2021

June

Division Conference Meeting It was a lovely afternoon on June 20th. Right after having a fun time at the Officer Training Conference, I joined the Zoom call for the June Division Council Meeting. We began with club recaps, of which mine was very scuffed. After that we were introduced to the Division Leadership Team once again! My favorite member is the one from Bolsa. The Fundraising Coordinators both announced upcoming fundraisers along with the results of the previous division Innocence Project Fundraiser. The division had managed to raise over $600, well over their goal of $300! In addition, it was announced by Peter Pham-Tran that buddy clubs would be put back in place! The challenge this month is to create a video with members in the format of “Some Good News. Bolsa and Pacifica will be making a top-tier video. The division also revealed a Service Week in place of Beach Boomba. Lastly, Vivian hosted a runback Kahoot that had ended prematurely last DCM. It was intense, and as the questions closed in to the final one, the call cut. Derek Ma, another LTG, ended the call. Once again, D04N would have to wait to find out who was getting that 7Leaves gift card. - Bradley Vu, 2021
