Prosperous Communities Finding the Right Job Digital Inclusion Trowbridge Training and Employment Club These are drop-ins offering help for local job seekers with CV Writing, Interview Skills and using Universal Jobmatch. Come and join us at Trowbridge Community Centre, Caernarfon Way every Thursday between 10am to 1pm. Council Work Clubs These help people to develop CV’s and apply for jobs online. We will be supporting these clubs on: Tuesday 4th and 18th between 9am and 1pm at the Llanrumney Hub and on Thursdays between 9:30am and 11:30am at the Llanedeyrn Powerhouse Contact: Ginger Wiegand - 07969184952 or Ginger.W@c3sc.org.uk Interpersonal Skills at Work Especially for lone parents who seek to re-enter or achieve success at work. Come along to build confidence, be assertive and set achievable goals. The course is delivered by Gingerbread, who provide expert advice and practical support for single parents. IT Taster Sessions Come and have a go: online shopping, email, Skype, social media. Try out different sorts of devices: laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Bring your own device if you like. 11th Feb, Llanedeyrn Powerhouse, 10am - 1pm 12th Feb, Trowbridge Community Centre, 10am - 1pm Web for Work Can you use a computer, but want to be able to get better at using it to find work? Then come to the Web to Work, a two day learning course, where you will learn what you need to find and apply for jobs effectively using a computer! The course covers things like online application systems, Universal Jobmatch and other job search sites, and using social media to find jobs. Two courses are being held this month. The first runs on February 4th & 11th, 10am - 1pm at the Llanrumney Hub and the second runs on February 18th & 25th, 11.30am - 3pm, at the Rumney Chapel. Beginner Computer Courses These courses facilitate the learning of basic IT skills and use of online services and are held on: Mondays between 10am and 11.30am at the Llanrumney Hub and Tuesdays between 10am and 11.30am at the Rumney Library
