Prosperous Communities Finding the Right Job Project (Contact Joe Cicero for information on any of the below. Joe.C@c3sc.org.uk or 07969 185286) Call Centre Training 7th & 8th July, 10am - 3pm @ Llanrumney Hub Learn skills you need to land a job at a call centre. There is an option to follow this up with a trip to Admiral Call Centre. (See below).

Admiral Call Centre Fieldtrip 15th July, 10am-1pm Pickup locations from across the cluster Take a trip to one of the biggest call centre employers in South Wales. Learn how the call centre works, what Admiral recruiters are looking for and potential opportunities for mock interviews. There will also be opportunities for customer service and call centre training in July.

Employment Support Drop Ins  St. Mellons Enterprise Centre, CF3 0EX – Wednesdays 1pm - 3pm  The Llanedeyrn Powerhouse, CF23 9PN – Thursdays 2pm - 4pm Our employment officer, Joe Cicero, can talk to anyone about support to achieve their employment goals. He can provide 1-1 support to apply for job applications, access to training and (maybe) help reduce the cost of getting work. He can also let people know about various employment support programmes and make sure they get into the ones they qualify for. People can call Joe to make an appointment outside of the drop-ins.

Boxercise (Ages 14 - 18) Every Tuesday, 6.30pm - 7.30pm @ Llanedeyrn Powerhouse, CF23 9PN Get fit, feel safer and make some great friends at this boxing fitness class. The sessions are £3 per session, with the 1st session free.

Every Tuesday, 1pm - 3pm @ St Mellons Community Education Centre Open a credit union account and start saving a little bit when you can and do the things you have always wanted.

Free Gardening Services!

This free service is aimed at the more vulnerable members of the community, including older people, lone parents and people living with a physical disability. Services include grass cutting, hedge cutting, tree trimming, leaf raking and litter picking.

EVENT – “What’s on for over 50’s?”

Thursday 2nd July @ John Reynolds Centre (TBC) This event will be held in the Llanrumney to support older people in our local area. There will be speakers, stalls and information aimed at supporting, signposting and enhancing the lives of older adults.

Transport will be provided if needed!

Wellbeing Walking Group around Hendre Lake Every Tuesday, 4:30pm @Starts from the Beacon Centre A gentle introduction to group walking. Well behaved dogs and children welcome. Please get in touch to arrange to meet up with us before we begin and to find out more about the walk.

Safeguarding Children 13th July, 9.30am - 3.30pm @Glyncoed Primary School This course is essential for all those who want to work or volunteer directly with children, young people or their families. It covers everything workers need to know about what might concern them, how to respond to concerns appropriately and consider safer working practice.
